  1. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ May 21, 2009 -> 01:06 PM) Remember....there's a $4 million buyout there as it currently stands.....so it would only be guaranteeing an additional $18 million (still not a bad salary for a true ace in todays game) I love it when you analyze. I'm back in. DO it b****es.
  2. Well, it's not my money. But when you are all b****ing in 2013 that we can't put anything around Peavy... remember this.
  3. QUOTE (BearSox @ May 21, 2009 -> 01:02 PM) This is so gay if the deal falls through because we wouldn't guarantee his 2013 option. Classic BearSox. 2013 is f***ing 4 years away. Anything can happen with a pitcher. $22 million would cripple this franchise... even if he plays well. That's f***ing Manny money. If the Sox picked this up, I'd be livid.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:59 PM) There it is. End of the day it's all about the mean green. What I said awhile ago. You can forget about it. There is no way in hell JR approves a $22 mill contract.
  5. QUOTE (DABearSoX @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:49 PM) Wasn't that Paulie at the WS rally No, we were about to trade Buehrle to the Red Sox, and at that home game that night the whole f***ing crowd chanted "RE-SIGN BUEHRLE" and sure enough, trade died, Buehrle got re-signed.
  6. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:45 PM) HE WET Post of the millenium!
  7. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:44 PM) I wish we could get the crowd at the Cell today to start chanting PEEEEAAAAA--VEEEEEE PEEEEEAAAAA-VEEEEEE Let him know how much of a god he'd be wearing the black and white. That s*** got us to re-sign Buehrle!
  8. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 21, 2009 -> 12:39 PM) WE KNOW THIS ALREADY The amount of re-posting info is insane.
  9. I'll say it. If Peavy declines this, he's a big fat stinky smelly p****.
  10. It's blowing my mind how many people are typing "except" instead of "accept". It's also driving me insane.
  11. It sounds to me like this will be a no-go. However, the agent coming out and saying he doesn't think Peavy will accept means nothing. The Sox need to pick up the option, if they do, its done. It's all about the Benjamins bay-be.
  12. QUOTE (wilmot825 @ May 21, 2009 -> 10:01 AM) Poreda and Richard is what I just heard Wow, its as if it just became like 4 hours ago.
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2009 -> 09:57 AM) and SI and God.
  14. Dude, there's no way this happens. He's already declined trades to the Yankees and Angels, why on Earth would he want to come here?
  15. Levine on ESPN right now. Confirms nothing new.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 21, 2009 -> 08:46 AM) If this happens today I will rub one out at my cubicle.
  17. I don't see the point of a Giles/Dye swap. Just keep the RFs on the teams they are on and deal with Peavy. This muddled information makes me believe something will happen much less.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2009 -> 08:21 AM) The Score is actually saying Jermaine Dye is in the proposed Deal. That means the Sox are only adding 5-6 million dollars this year. Brian Giles to White Sox?
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2009 -> 07:48 AM) I wish my really bad year consisted of a 3.82 ERA while leading the NL in strikeouts. He's actually 2nd in the NL in strikeouts. Behind Javier Vazquez
  20. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 20, 2009 -> 01:14 PM) Go after Kaman! He Kaman his pants.
  21. If I'm the Grizzlies I'm immediately on the phone offering the Knicks 1-2 for 1-8, 2-8, and David Lee. They'd pay that, because D'Antoni wants his point guard and they've been looking for an excuse to move Lee.
