  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2009 -> 11:03 AM) Link. This series always gets such weird selections of regular 1-2 season cast members... Hopefully he gets killed.
  2. QUOTE (The Critic @ May 28, 2009 -> 09:34 AM) Why you tryin' to hurt my heart, man??? ....Like there's such a thing as "enough happiness", anyway.... Sorry, my whole life I've been waiting for a Cup, you've had how many in the last two decades?
  3. QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 28, 2009 -> 06:10 AM) I just look at Cleveland 's supporting cast, and to me, the only addition they made was obviously Mo Williams, who's a guy who's never delivered in the playoffs before, and now he's making all these guarantees. Orlando has a better bench (Pietrus for one has done a fantastic job guarding Pierce and James and knockin down 3's in the post-season), and Alston has argubly been better than Williams so far. If the Cavs are going to have any chance of winning the series, they need Mo Williams to be the player he was during the regular season. I don't see that happening. Clevelan'd supporting cast is as good as any in the league. People are just making excuses for Lebron. Maybe if he hit a few more of his free throws they would have won that last game. Lord knows the refs are giving him enough freebies.
  4. QUOTE (The Critic @ May 28, 2009 -> 02:48 AM) Heart says Wings in 7. Head says Pens in 6. I want my heart to be correct. I think your heart's had enough happiness in the last two decades.

    Fan-made Green Lantern trailer. Pretty well done!
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 27, 2009 -> 09:30 PM) I assume you mean Malkin? Yes. Fixed.
  7. Pens will win it. I will go with 6 games. Malkin and Crosby are just unstoppable right now.
  8. Thank you very much for an awesome season Chicago Blackhawks. The f***ing Western Conference Finals. Cristobal Huet stepped it up and had an awesome performance, you can't take that away from him. Given ample playing time I think we'll be fine in net next year. Congrats Wings... go... Penguins I guess. What a great season for the Blackhawks.
  9. That save by Huet is officially the best save I've ever seen in my life.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:34 PM) Fail. His era HAS risen steadily the last three years.
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2009 -> 04:30 PM) He may be up in chicago playing 3B by next week.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2009 -> 03:49 PM) You'd take Alvarez in a second over Beckham? Really? I think there's quite a few teams out there that would re-evaluate letting G. Beckham fall to 8 in that draft. His stock has risen higher than anyone's. Personally, I'll keep slayer over making a move for a guy who is at best 3 years away.
  13. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 27, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) I'm so glad you post here. As am I.
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 27, 2009 -> 02:44 PM) If you want to know who KW is really targeting, I would take a look at Dan Haren in AZ. The Dbacks are 11 games back and they will sell off some of those guys. We are in a position to give them 2 sp's in Poreda and Richard and some minor league players for Haren if need be. He is a guy I would like to target. 2007: 3.07 ERA 1.21 WHIP 2008: 3.33 ERA 1.13 WHIP 2009: 2.57 ERA .90 WHIP Salary: 2009: 7.5 2010:8.25 2011:12.75 2012:12.75 2013: 15.5 team option or 3.5 million buyout Thats not a bad commitment. Yeah, I've wanted Haren for awhile. If that happened, I'd be giddy.
  15. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 27, 2009 -> 12:02 PM) Shaq to the Bulls? I would love that. Reason being... its brilliant. he's not very good now, we all know that... but luol deng's contract is horrible and he's signed for like 4 years after this. So we'd lose that contract and get to enjoy funny Shaq quotes for a year.

    QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:31 AM) Finally saw Star Trek and although it isn't perfect I like it better than at least 4 of the 6 Star Wars flicks. It had no where near the depth of those films. Aside from Episode 2, I'd be hard-pressed to say it was better than any of the others.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:42 AM) The NBA long ago made the decision that the best way to market itself was to market its stars, especially the ones who make headlines, rather than marketing things like the game itself. I don't know if that was the right monetary decision, I think it's certainly had a negative impact on the quality of the game. Series like the Spurs/Pistons, or Hell, even the Bulls/Celtics, don't get the credit they deserve because the stars aren't there controlling it. Let's not pretend it's just the average fan's fault here...the NBA has encouraged it at every step. You raise a good point. The announcers obviously are in line as well. Last night LeBron passed to Delonte West in the corner. Delonte then took the ball in ON DWIGHT HOWARD and bumped into him and put in the layup. Given his size and his stature, that was a pretty nice move to actually get a bucket instead of getting stuffed. Do the announcers say "nice play by Delonte West"? No. They say "look at how LeBron trusts his teammates". It's a goddamned joke the way they talk this guy up like Jesus Christ.
  18. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:39 AM) In the past couple years they have stepped it up though Ever since AJ skull-f***ed them.
  19. We need Gavin Floyd to pretend the Angels are the Pirates tonight.
  20. I want a Magic/Nuggets final so bad. Denver has enough athletic depth up front to be a pain for Dwight, and both teams can throw endless 3-point opportunities because both teams are deep in shooters. That'd be such an entertaining Finals, albeit a poorly-rated one by the mass morons of America. Hence Kobe and LeBron getting all the calls.
  21. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:29 AM) You mean it isnt ok to intentionally elbow Mike Bibby in the face on an inbounds pass? No way!!?!? I call BS. You should totally be allowed to do that.
  22. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 27, 2009 -> 11:05 AM) yeah, so you're on a completely different level. I read an article that if you don't get one of the top catchers (I believe this year it was Mauer, Molina, Martin, Posada, Soto and a 2-3 I'm completely forgetting), then you're better off just drafting a catcher with your last pick or two because past those coming into the season, obviously Soto and Martin have dissapointed, every other catcher is basically the same. ...and Victor Martinez whom everyone ignored and I stole in every league is #2 behind Mauer. Now I just hope my trading him at the peak of his value and relying on Wieters doesn't backfire. It shouldn't.
  23. I'd rather have Cain than Peavy.
