QUOTE (BearSox @ May 15, 2009 -> 09:22 PM) I've been at stage 5 for a while, even though stage 2 never really goes away. Agreed.

This was a nice introduction to Western Conference Finals action. The Hawks will adjust and fight back. -

Excellent first period on the road against the Champs. 1-1 after one. Unfortunately Bulin let in a pretty bad goal, but we'll take it. -
QUOTE (lostfan @ May 16, 2009 -> 09:30 PM) Fully agree. And for people who don't believe in other life being out there because of religious beliefs or whatever, I ask how do they know that God only bothered putting life on Earth? If He made the universe, he can put whatever He wants in it. Including disco bars.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2009 -> 10:56 PM) I liked the Scrubs finale, but this one was a million times more memorable. Finale?? It's been renewed... per EW. Weird, huh?

QUOTE (lostfan @ May 16, 2009 -> 07:49 PM) But yeah, bottom line, the universe is almost incomprehensibly big. Hence why the notion that we're the only life out there is absurd.

I was right. The more I listen to the new Green Day the more I adore it.

QUOTE (Cali @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) So 21st Century Breakdown isn't as good as American Idiot, if only for the fact that AI was such a surprise. You didn't expect Green Day to write a Rock Opera, and 21st Century is just them doing what we expected now. The album is far more like a musical than American Idiot, and the theme is tighter than AI, but it's just not hitting me like AI did. It's split into 3 Acts, and the 1st and 3rd are the best. The second act is pretty muddled... Still a solid album with some great songs, like: "21st Century Breakdown" "¡Viva la Gloria!" "Before the Lobotomy" "Last Night on Earth" "¿Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl)" "Restless Heart Syndrome" "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" "American Eulogy" "See the Light" I agree to an extent on your review. I think it will take quite a few more listens to really get into it though. American Idiot's greatness will be hard to hit again, but I'm enjoying the different feel of each song on this album right now, and am about to go back for listen #2. I like Act II a lot, it's hard to pick a favorite act.

I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this... but I watch Grey's Anatomy. I am married, and this by far is not the least manly program I watch. Anyway, any of you other guys who watch it with your gals, you had to be shocked that it was George who was the one who got hit by the bus. I thought that episode was really good.

QUOTE (lostfan @ May 14, 2009 -> 07:50 AM) Actually I think Favre is really not that good anymore and living off his reputation. He believes his own hype. As a Bears fan I'm really not worried about the possibility of the Vikings getting Favre. That. He can't be much better than anyone else at this point. Also, if the Williams' are out for the first 4 games as predicted, they will have a rough time getting off to a good start anyway. -

QUOTE (BobDylan @ May 13, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) Ebert review of Star Trek EDIT: Just saw bmags already posted it. Whoops. What the hell did he expect from a re-boot? Had they not re-established the characters, the 85% of us who always thought Star Trek was lame as hell and never gave it a shot would not have enjoyed it nearly as much.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2009 -> 06:52 PM) Plus there in a new stadium this year. By all means I'm not doubting that they are hurting due to the economy but I can't imagine its expensive to stream over the internet at least. Afterall, we were able to run a streaming radio show so I can't see why the Dash wouldn't be able to. Too many lawsuits because of the Phallic symbol.
