  1. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 16, 2009 -> 07:49 PM) But yeah, bottom line, the universe is almost incomprehensibly big. Hence why the notion that we're the only life out there is absurd.

I was right. The more I listen to the new Green Day the more I adore it.

QUOTE (Cali @ May 13, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) So 21st Century Breakdown isn't as good as American Idiot, if only for the fact that AI was such a surprise. You didn't expect Green Day to write a Rock Opera, and 21st Century is just them doing what we expected now. The album is far more like a musical than American Idiot, and the theme is tighter than AI, but it's just not hitting me like AI did. It's split into 3 Acts, and the 1st and 3rd are the best. The second act is pretty muddled... Still a solid album with some great songs, like: "21st Century Breakdown" "¡Viva la Gloria!" "Before the Lobotomy" "Last Night on Earth" "¿Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl)" "Restless Heart Syndrome" "Horseshoes and Handgrenades" "American Eulogy" "See the Light" I agree to an extent on your review. I think it will take quite a few more listens to really get into it though. American Idiot's greatness will be hard to hit again, but I'm enjoying the different feel of each song on this album right now, and am about to go back for listen #2. I like Act II a lot, it's hard to pick a favorite act.
  4. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ May 15, 2009 -> 11:54 AM) Wayman Tisdale lost his battle with cancer; only 44 years old. EPSN link
  5. I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this... but I watch Grey's Anatomy. I am married, and this by far is not the least manly program I watch. Anyway, any of you other guys who watch it with your gals, you had to be shocked that it was George who was the one who got hit by the bus. I thought that episode was really good.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 14, 2009 -> 11:49 AM) Umm. What? http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDeta...roduct_id=74705 How in the world that got green lit I'll never know.
  7. The guy turns 27 this year. He's a f***ing bust.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 14, 2009 -> 08:33 AM) Yes, you may indeed. Thank you.
  9. Might I say "Go Ducks and home-ice advantage"?
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 14, 2009 -> 07:50 AM) Actually I think Favre is really not that good anymore and living off his reputation. He believes his own hype. As a Bears fan I'm really not worried about the possibility of the Vikings getting Favre. That. He can't be much better than anyone else at this point. Also, if the Williams' are out for the first 4 games as predicted, they will have a rough time getting off to a good start anyway.
  11. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 13, 2009 -> 07:54 PM) I know, I just quoted the last one. It's as if you drunkenly bombed the thread.
  12. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 13, 2009 -> 07:11 PM) caps getting murdered right now Unexpected.

QUOTE (BobDylan @ May 13, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) Ebert review of Star Trek EDIT: Just saw bmags already posted it. Whoops. What the hell did he expect from a re-boot? Had they not re-established the characters, the 85% of us who always thought Star Trek was lame as hell and never gave it a shot would not have enjoyed it nearly as much.
  14. Happy Birthday, dude.
  15. Bayless's brother is way cooler than he is. And he's not cool at all. (Except when he's on Top Chef)
  16. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ May 13, 2009 -> 07:02 PM) aww man, now steve is going to have unbridled resentment towards me. Never.
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2009 -> 06:52 PM) Plus there in a new stadium this year. By all means I'm not doubting that they are hurting due to the economy but I can't imagine its expensive to stream over the internet at least. Afterall, we were able to run a streaming radio show so I can't see why the Dash wouldn't be able to. Too many lawsuits because of the Phallic symbol.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ May 12, 2009 -> 08:42 PM) You need MC Hammer pants.
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 12, 2009 -> 06:33 PM) When the Hawks win in 6 and then Caps in 5, I'll give you all the props you want. I don't put much value on predictions, anyone can make them (and certainly anyone does), and whether you are right or wrong, doesn't prove or disprove how much you know about hockey, yes? It proves my balls are massive.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 12, 2009 -> 12:51 AM) BTW Steve, how's the crow taste on Kane? You love him now! f***ing sick backhand, good God. BTW, I haven't seen a game in a while with so many absolute laser goals. He's got his confidence back... this is very good. Thanks for the props on my calling Hawks in 6, btw. Don't be selective or anything.
  21. ...and you fools all laughed when I called Hawks in 6. We're going to play the Red Wings. No way the queer Ducks beat them. It'll be a damn battle, but once again, Hawks will win in 6, and they will play the Caps in a 5 game series and win the Stanley Cup. Please God, GO HAWKS!!!
