QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 06:57 AM) I am really interesting to see what Daniel's fate is. Remember the island earlier made sure that what was supposed to happen, would still happen, think back to Charlie and how many times he was supposed to die, but Desmond saved him. If he is supposed to get everyone Back to the Future, can the island really allow him to be dead? It ought to be interesting. I think you've got stuff messed up. Farraday started thinking he COULD change the past, we found out he could not. He was always meant to be killed by his own mother (Eloise), hence why we saw the scene where she got so upset at Widmore after she sent her son off to die at the island. She knew it would start a chain of events that would eventually lead her to killing her own son... she already knew that would happen. For what... I guess we find out soon enough.
  2. The wife and I each have our cell phones... that's enough. Until we have a kid, I don't see a need for a landline (if then).
  3. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Apr 30, 2009 -> 08:33 AM) From everything we have learned about A-Rod in the past year, does this really surprise you? The Roids were definitely for stat padding, I have no doubt that ARod would be happier with a record than he would a world series ring Agreed.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 05:20 PM) I'd say they are deeper and more physical as well. This was a matchup I didnt want from the get go. It's the semi's... any matchup will not be one you want. Tonight, tonight we s*** ourselves.
  5. It's amazing how quickly the mighty can fall.
  6. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 11:58 AM) When Gordon wasn't shooting, Drose or Brad Miller was turning it over. Yet you liked that final play call.
  7. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 11:50 AM) Give me a break Steve, I guess if Phil Jackson did it with Bill Wennington, it's ok. All this BG and VDN thrashing is getting old fast. I'm not thrashing Gordon, he rose up while injured and might have shot 6/21, but was still the only reason we made it to OT. Phil Jackson would never, I repeat NEVER have called a last shot for Bill Wennington. He called one for Kerr... a shooter, because he knew everyone would condense upon M-Jeff. (this is the smart thing to do) Gordon should have had that last shot... we had 3 seconds. If not him, figure out a play where Rose is headed to the basket, or better yet, DESIGN a play where Gordon immediately gets the ball. The defense will collapse on him, and you can find Kirk open beyond the stripe for the win. Anything was better than Brad Miller getting the final shot. Now, this brings up something else. VDN continued to call man-to-man and let Paul Pierce hit the exact same shot 4 f***ing times. They should have double-teamed Pierce and made Tony Allen or someone else beat them with an outside shot. No. They persistently allowed Pierce to get the one shot we all knew he could hit at will.
  8. I think this thread would be cooler if the title were "Thome to retire?". Flame away.
  9. The problem goes back to one I've been harping on all season. VDN is a rookie head coach and never had coaching experience. He sucks at drawing up last plays, and it bites us in the ass all the time. Calling a play for Brad Miller... get outta here. Sure, it worked... it got him open, but it's still Brad f***ing Miller.
  10. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 10:44 AM) It happens when they move the island... winner
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 09:59 PM) 1600x1200 You sir, are truly amazing.
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 12:28 AM) I've lost pretty much all respect for KG. Boston has made him a big-headed piece of s***. http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/7b/fullj.1d...lls_celtics.jpg http://a.espncdn.com/media/apphoto/660123b...7784935a4ab.jpg What a b****. Wow, KG needed two All-Stars around him to win a f***ing ring. So while he's in his suit, he yells at a guy who has the balls to play through an injury and put up a damn good game. Garnett is a b****.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 09:24 AM) WOW! Talk about over reaction: Egypt Begins Slaughtering 300K Pigs As Precaution I'd tell them to f*** off, too.

Swine Flu in........... ROGERS PARK! We're all dead.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 03:46 PM) I think you missed the point - he is saying that he did read the label, and that the substance in the supplement wasn't listed, which made him test positive. I have no clue if that is true or not, but, he apparently did in fact check the ingredients. But he did not call the MLB Hotline, which would have covered his ass. He was lazy, and he put a banned substance in his body.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) It's been f***ed up for like a year. Hm, it normally seems pretty accurate for me. Today it's off by like 20 minutes. No worries.
  17. I'd think quite a few people who have tickets to tonight's game will start showing up in the latter innings.
  18. Go White Sox. The Soxtalk board clock is f***ed up.
  19. Is anyone else noticing the board clock to be off by a bit?
  20. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 02:18 PM) nuh uh If BG doesn't play tonight, Salmons would have to score like 35 for us to stand a chance. ie, he'd actually have to make a shot.
  21. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 03:50 PM) You practically called the Ducks over Sharks, So I will gladly take your word on this. I know playoff hockey!
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 02:07 PM) From what I heard (though Jeff, Tony or others can chime in a bit more on it) they are bigger, stronger, faster than Calgary. Don't they got those Sudin brothers? Heard one was hurt though. We can definitely take them, but we do have our hands full. The Sedin twins.. they are a couple of pussies. To be honest, I think we'll do fine against Vancouver. They barely held off the Flames in their division, and only have home ice because of stupid rules that division winners get the top 3 seeds. Just because they are the 3 seed does not mean they are better than the Blackhawks... quite the opposite in fact. Hawks in 6.
  23. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 12:55 PM) so did nbadraft.net http://www.nbadraft.net/players/joakim-noah NBA Comparison: Tyson Chandler (higher basketball IQ) That's funny. I should work there.
  24. QUOTE (rangercal @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 12:50 PM) Noah is so underrated around these parts. I hope he remains a Bull for a long time. He's pretty much becoming what I predicted... Tyson Chandler. Works for me.
