  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 11, 2009 -> 01:32 PM) I didn't see enough of Brett Favre cumming in Peter King's mouth. That's gross. Damn, beaten to the punch.
  2. Hawks to play Euro Champs next fall...
  3. Clayton just straight up sucks.
  4. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 11, 2009 -> 09:42 AM) Bobbie Jenks did it the right way when throwing at or behind Kinsler. He was sending a message but wasn't trying to harm Kinsler. He aimed at his rear and the only damage if he hit Ian was that the guy might feel uncomfortable for awhile when sitting on the pot. Bobbie Jenks is a class act in my opinion Bobbie
  5. My what a difference a Cutler makes! King article
  6. Tonight is very important. You know the Blackhawks don't want to take another trip up to Western Canada.
  7. Per Rotoworld: The Phoenix Coyotes are ready to sue the NHL because the league will not allow owner Jerry Moyes to sell the team to Canadian Jim Balsillie. This is turning into a mess and the NHL has to be wary of a possible lawsuit if Moyes cannot sell the team to Balsillie who wants to move the team to southern Ontario. The Coyotes are prepared to sue and cite that the NHL is breaking state and federal anti-trust laws. The Coyotes are preparing its case for the court and they state in their case that Phoenix is not a viable hockey market according to the Arizona Republic. The team has lost $73 million in the last three years. Sounds to us that this is not a viable market. Stay tuned.

I have never been a Star Trek fan. I have never seen an entire episode of any Star Trek series. I have never seen a Star Trek movie. J.J. Abrams' Star Trek was beyond enjoyable. It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I implore all non-fans of the series to check this out... it's awesome. Those of you who are, I presume you'll be putting the pants you s*** in in the washing machine when you return. What an awesome movie.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2009 -> 11:15 AM) I love watching Lebron go to hole hard TWSS
  10. We're just being Luongowned right now... I certainly hope we can get one past him in the 3rd. We've completely dominated this game and against a mortal could have 3 or 4 goals by now.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 8, 2009 -> 08:22 AM) I definitely heard it was Dave Martinez that nailed Cindy Sandberg. Also, have heard some fun talk that Palmeiro was having an affair with her, and that's why he was dealt. The rumor mill has it that not only did Ryno’s ex-wife Cindy consort with Raffy, Dave Martinez was involved as well (though not all 3 at once), which may have led to both of them being dealt by Cubs management. From whitesoxinteractive’s PaleHoseGeorge: Along with the rumors about Cindy sleeping around with Palmiero and Martinez, the rumor continues that it was Ryno who appealed to Cubs brass to engineer the one-sided trades that garnered the Flubbies a whole lot of nothing for useful (even HOF-bound) ballplayers — just to save his marriage that ended anyway. The one-sided nature of the trades have become either the smoking gun for the rumor’s validity or further proof of the utter incompetence of Cubs management. RAFAEL PALMIERO December 5, 1988: Traded by the Chicago Cubs with Drew Hall and Jamie Moyer to the Texas Rangers for Mitch Williams, Paul Kilgus, Steve Wilson, Curtis Wilkerson, Luis Benitez (minors), and Pablo Delgado (minors). DAVE MARTINEZ July 14, 1988: Traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Montreal Expos for Mitch Webster.
  12. I've often wondered this. Madison certainly supports their IHL (or whatever league it is now) team. Milwaukee would probably cherish the opportunity to see NHL games.
  13. Thank you for the Canada knowledge, Sonix. Good info right there.
  14. QUOTE (rangercal @ May 8, 2009 -> 01:28 AM) I think soxfan1 made the best post in the thread. Yes.
  15. It's crazy that Sosa will largely go unremembered... f***er broke the HR record *61 3 f***ing times! Sammy f***ing Sosa Not some legendary player. Sammy f***ing Sosa He of the career .878 OPS... 63+ bombs 3 times! He hit 292 bombs in 5 f***ing seasons! FIVE SEASONS
  16. If you think about it it's really lame... I think griffey was clean... and if he was, those season's he was having in Seattle don't even pop up as a big deal given what some of these juiced freaks were doing. 96-2000 would be regarded as possibly the best 5-year run any hitter ever had. Instead, Junior only hit 56 bombs in 1998, while Sammy (66) and Big Mac (70) made him look like a douchebag.
  17. Then, Barry Bonds hit 73 home runs in a season, and that was like the turning point. We realized that things had gone too far. We blamed him for cheating and looked the other way with dozens of other guys who might have been doing the same thing. Brady Anderson hit 50 homers in 1996; we didn't care. Bret Boone had 141 RBIs in a season; we didn't care. Big Papi went from 10 homers to 41 in four seasons; we didn't care. Roger Clemens was washed up, but suddenly he could throw 98 miles per hour and win Cy Youngs again; we didn't care. Eric Gagne saved 84 straight games and threw 120 miles an hour; we didn't care. Good players started blowing out tendons nobody had ever heard of; we didn't care. Pitchers blew out elbow tendons and shoulder ligaments routinely; we didn't care. This was the deal. They cheated; we pretended they didn't. It's really hard to explain unless you were there.
  18. Turico and Van Pelt say the drug was a women's fertility drug, commonly taken when coming off a "cycle" of steroids or PEDs.
  19. QUOTE (RME JICO @ May 8, 2009 -> 12:36 AM) The thread title still says PEDs. The reports are saying it was a sexual enhancer: http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Ajl3...o&type=lgns Still violated the drug policy. Tell me that's not a "performance enhancer"!!
  20. QUOTE (shipps @ May 7, 2009 -> 11:21 PM) Oh steve...you are in crazy mode today. I know... I think it's the sunlight because I just scored a corner office today... I'm ready to believe anything.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 7, 2009 -> 11:19 PM) oh man, Canseco is in full conspiracy/crazy mode. He's saying he probably didn't test positive now, it's a conspiracy to make up for past use. It's actually quite believable.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 7, 2009 -> 11:17 PM) I'm not going to throw out the player Manny has been for the last 15 years because of this quite yet. That. It sounds like a doctor somewhere should be fired.
  23. Manny "Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me," Ramirez said. "Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. "I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons. I want to apologize to [Dodgers owner Frank] McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, [manager Joe] Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. LA is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation."
  24. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ May 7, 2009 -> 11:12 PM) I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. I think if this was someone that I didn't enjoy watching play than I wouldn't really care. That.
  25. I believe this thread proves one thing. I am an idiot.
