I'll say it. If Peavy declines this, he's a big fat stinky smelly p****.

It's blowing my mind how many people are typing "except" instead of "accept". It's also driving me insane.

Peavy Rejects Sox Offer; Deal Now Dead
It sounds to me like this will be a no-go. However, the agent coming out and saying he doesn't think Peavy will accept means nothing. The Sox need to pick up the option, if they do, its done. It's all about the Benjamins bay-be.

Dude, there's no way this happens. He's already declined trades to the Yankees and Angels, why on Earth would he want to come here?

I don't see the point of a Giles/Dye swap. Just keep the RFs on the teams they are on and deal with Peavy. This muddled information makes me believe something will happen much less.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 21, 2009 -> 08:21 AM) The Score is actually saying Jermaine Dye is in the proposed Deal. That means the Sox are only adding 5-6 million dollars this year. Brian Giles to White Sox?

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 21, 2009 -> 07:48 AM) I wish my really bad year consisted of a 3.82 ERA while leading the NL in strikeouts. He's actually 2nd in the NL in strikeouts. Behind Javier Vazquez

If I'm the Grizzlies I'm immediately on the phone offering the Knicks 1-2 for 1-8, 2-8, and David Lee. They'd pay that, because D'Antoni wants his point guard and they've been looking for an excuse to move Lee.- Films Thread

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 20, 2009 -> 12:00 PM) How much is Camby making? 7.65 mill. He had a de-escalating salary.- Official 2008-2009 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 20, 2009 -> 11:59 AM) You know what, I'm starting to love a Hinrich for Camby swap. It gets the Bulls one more 2010 expiring contract and helps them get better at the same time. The Bulls than target a backup PG with one of there two draft picks or maybe sign one in FA. Than all they got to do is try and get Deng back and as soon as he is, package him up in a deal for salary saving space and the Bulls will be the biggest players in 2010 and would still be a playoff team next year, which means they would be able to offer all of the available FA's the most (Big city, Good team, one star (Drose), and most imporantly the Bulls could still have Tyrus/Noah/Salmons/Camby (as long as they are willing to pay luxury tax). Not too bad if you ask me. The Clip joint wouldn't do Camby for Kirk. They are just as interested in 2010 as anyone else. The guy(s) who will be available are Kaman and Randolph.- Official 2008-2009 NHL Thread
That ending last night sucked. The Redwings do not make mistakes, and being down 0-2 to them is pretty much the nail in the coffin. - Official 2008-2009 NBA Thread
