Hit? You mean a hard foul? Take your starters out of the game, wouldn't have happened. This stuff goes on in sports at all levels more than just that one incident. And a "hard" foul is pretty weak in basketball, he put two hands on the guy and took him down. Big deal. BTW, never did i say it was perfectly ok. I said don't put it on the same level. -

He's the only one that threw such a huge sucker punch (then ran away like a girl, mind you). The NBA needs cleaning up. I think people just don't want Carmelo out 15 because it's Carmelo. I'm glad Stern looked past the name on the jersey to make this decision. If you only get 5 games for punching someone...well, why not do it? And please don't compare Isiah using words to Carmelo using fists. No way suspensions should be equal. -

15 games is perfectly fine. This stuff is inexcusable in the NBA, and maybe people will think twice knowing they'll get 15 for it. -
Stewart is a perfect 4th liner. I love his energy and 'hit anything that moves' attitude (though hopefully without taking a penalty...). Doesn't have the most talent, but gives it his all. Always respect those guys. Hamilton has shown a nice little scoring touch, though i'd like to see a bit more out of his game, especially on the defensive end - he looks lost. Savard barely played the guy in the 2nd and 3rd period against Columbus - I believe he got one whole shift in the 3rd. He's got room for improvement, but he had a decent knack for the net.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 17, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) Khabby was amazing tonight. Really ridiculous that he wasn't one of the 'stars' tonight; probably should've been the first star. Aucoin was also pretty good. He played physical and finally let that hard slapshot off on the point of the PP a couple times, scoring once. He's still slow, but it was good to see him actually pushing people around tonight. And I know it's been said a million times already, but Havlat is so calm, cool and collected with the puck. He made a pretty nice pass to Ruutu on the first goal, and in the third, made a spectacular pass from the corner of the blueline all the way to the far post where Hamilton tipped it just wide. This team is fun to watch. They're competing every night. They don't have any real heavyweights, but they hit. Stewart flies around trying to lay a body on anybody he can, Wisniewski has played quite well in his time up here, and even Vandy is starting to play more physically. Hopefully Seabrook's night in the press box will get him goin', too. Keith, I've thought that Wis has been really good while up here - way, way beyond my expectations. It's been a pleasant surprise. He has good puck movement skills and is quick enough to say with any forwards out there it seems. Habby has been amazing since coming back from injury, period. He's stole us a few games. I said all year i don't want him traded, and now we're seeing why. Last year was not Habby...you're seeing the real guy now. I know Savard is going to lean on him a lot, but i hope he takes the night off when he needs it, as he can't be out of gas come march if we're still in any kind of race. I listened to the entire game (got home just in time to catch it on radio after the drive back from columbus), and it seemed like the 3rd period was the Habby show. I was getting that 'they are gonna score right here' nervous feeling constantly while listening to the play by play. BTW, for all the bad plays Keith made early on last night against Columbus, he had a better 3rd period and a pretty solid game overall. He logged a s*** ton of minutes and was a key part of stopping Columbus from tying it in the 3rd. He is still prone to the brutal error ala Seabrook, but i still think he is going to be a pretty damn good defenseman. The only thing he really doesn't have is size, which luckily isn't as important as it used to be. Also, seabrook apparently hurt himself during the morning skate against columbus, hence he was scratched for aucoin. When all are healthy, i hope it's cully/vandy that sits.

So i'm watching this thing on TLC about conjoined twins. This is the most amazing thing i think i've ever seen in my life. 2 heads, one body, mostly separate organs....yet they can drive, play catch, walk/run perfectly, etc. They each control one leg and one arm, and have zero sense of the other arm and leg.
-
So it's staying alive?
-
Seems like many coaches and the commissioner of the big ten approve of Sampson already. And now he's going after an OSU commit? This league is going to be fun.
-
Back over .500 PS Columbus was sweet, glad i got to travel and see a win on the road...last two periods were brutal, but we held on.

Neither of these teams have a clue offensively, this is an ugly basketball game -
Off to Columbus for me to watch em take on the Blue Jackets.
-
3rd period power plays: Hawks 0-3 Detroit 1-1 Yeah, that'll prevent you from tying it up.
-
Yeah, we had a real tough time tonight getting the puck into the zone and gaining possession. If they are going to stand you up at the blue line, you are going to have to dump it and get in there. When we did, we never could get control of it. AND THE HAWKS SCORE...RUUTUUUUUUUUU Power Play.....as hawk would say, one time

This game was frustrating as all hell

We can't buy a goal against Hasek right now, this is ridiculous QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) I kind of have it on the background because of finals studying, but was that Gene Honda I hear as PA Announcer? Yes, always.

Come on guys, do something on the pp already. Need to net one of these
-
I think we're the worst 4 on 4 team in the history of hockey, especially in regulation. We have zero clue how to play man to man. Not a good play there by Kukk at all.
-
hamilton!!!! Nice read by Vandy on the turnover, excellent read.
-
My aunt has an inflatable get-up for every single holiday imaginable. Gets kind of nuts.
-
Outplayed em is right Keith, we just gotta get the next goal in this game. Brutal turnover by Seabrook leads to Datsyuk magic. Seabrook still has a long, long way to go in this league.
-
Note to self, don't talk about FSU unless they win the national championship.
-
LOL, that's a fight? I guess we can't comment or express opinions in this thread.

You didn't have to say they were. I just wouldn't be so surprised to be losing recruits at this current time.
