  1. If Bonds were to ever don a Sox uni, i'd still root for the team, but would never actually root FOR Bonds. Wouldn't clap, wouldn't cheer, would just hope runs went on the board and we got wins. That's about it. I'm not going to be one of those SF ass-licking fans because he's suddenly on our team.
  2. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) An 18 game winner for a 4th outfielder is not a good deal. I am hoping this is where the talk starts with the Phils and ends with Rollins, Lieber, Floyd and Rowand for Garcia, Uribe and Aardesma. Are you serious?
  3. Felix, On Rowand's best day in the outfield, he doesn't have Anderson's range. Not even close. Nor the arm. If there were ever a scenario in which they were in the same outfield, there's no way in hell Anderson would be in left. They are not a "push" defensively by any stretch of the imagination.
  4. Brandon's well on his way to bringing sexy back
  5. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) College sports. That's unfortunate
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) You can tell me in this market 3 million wouldn't be that bad but I'd tell you that regardless of the market he isn't worth 3 million Jas, this sentence doesn't make sense...the market is what determines the value of a player, not just a random dollar amount.

  8. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) the polls are such a crapshoot at this point of the season because you have people trying to balance what they've seen against what they thought they'd see. once there's more weight to the "what they've seen" the polls will get more accurate. Yeah...i'd argue that losing to Oral Roberts and Depaul and beating one good team, albeit very good, isn't grounds for putting you at #12. I don't mean to purposely pick on Kansas, but that's just another example.
  9. Comcast guide has it as basbeall tonight....breaking news, interviews, and analysis from the winter meetings in orlando. Yay rodeo indeed.
  10. Baseball Tonight is on at 1pm today on ESPN2. Yeah this will probably be ny/boston centered, but if you just want some winter meetings fix, then i guess tune in.

    Wii

    I've got the solution so it doesn't gather dust: You get Jim the Wii, THEN you send me all his golf clubs
  12. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) Where's jimbos drinker? I'll fill in for him in the meantime... "Weber can't recruit" "I love bill self" "I love russ rob and ju ju" "Julian Wright is the best post passer in the history of the sport"
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 12:45 AM) So I'm watching an interview with Sosa on espn right now. How can he do an interview? I thought he couldn't understand English? But he can't speak it very well!!!!
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) We play 'Cuse and West Virginia early in the New Year, and to my knowledge, we're off at least until January 15th, if not the week after that. Other than that, it's a buch of mid majors (UMBC, Oakland, Morgan State, and Savannah State) and some away BE games (@ Providence and UConn). I'll willingly make the drive up for the 'Cuse and WV games, though -- and maybe I'll try and make it up for one of the mid-major games, although that's doubtful. ...I definitely drove through a snow storm (that i didn't know was going to be that bad) thanksgiving break 2004 to watch us play OAKLAND. It took me 6 hours to get down there (usually 2.5). It was snowing so bad i had to get off I-57 as i was going 20mph. I'm an idiot. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) Wanna come with me to Carbondale on the first? The first of january? You're going to miss one of the best days of the sports year for that?
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Just like they were going to get "exposed" against Arkansas? But...but...but....!
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) I despise the overrated chant. Takes away from what your own team did. Not to mention Florida isn't overrated, but whatever. That, and the "_____ sucks" No, actually, he's good.
  17. The refs in this denver/seattle game look like they came straight from Foot Locker with these pants they are wearing. Looks odd.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) So whose 4th this year? Yeah, i threw this out there yesterday. LSU? "But they didn't even win the conference or even play in the champ game" Etc
  19. QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) Because USC and Michigan were so close point wise when USC beat Notre Dame. I have ALWAYS believed that who you lose to should matter just as much as to who you beat. Michigan started so low in the rankings this year, that I understand why USC was still around even with the loss to Oregon State. I don't like the fact that in two weeks, Florida gained so much ground on a team that didn't get to play. It's just how I feel. Buckeyes win big. Florida lost to Auburn, not exactly a 1-AA team. Throw up the schedules, and decide for yourself. You can only give Michigan so much credit for LOSING to OSU. Now, who'd they beat... Here's a good link to check out: http://cfn.scout.com/2/596883.html
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Don't mind Krush, he's just mad at me cause I won his March Madness pool this year. If you were a real man you'd pick an MVC team to win it all. As far as Florida goes, i guess your money is where your mouth is now
