  1. The mother of the two guys is on the Score right now.
  2. Damn, i'm sorry i even mentioned Mariotti. I never listen to him, and as i was flipping i caught word of this story which i didn't know about before. Mariotti is a dope, ya, but you can't brush this off at the same time. I don't think anyone is happy this happened, i don't want any parents to be beat up in front of their kids. That's just horrible. I think this is just another 'isolated incident' that happened to take place again at U.S. Cellular, and Mariotti wants to hit on it for a while. It needs to be talked about. But to what extent?

Happy Bday man, go get your license!
  4. These fans are similar to the 'fans' who might boo and complain about Maggs being let go, saying the Sox aren't trying to win, etc. M's season was over, this move needed to be made now, if not earlier. That team is OLD. They are all having terrible years. It needs to be revamped. I don't think they understand that when you trade an ace (someone who helps the other team NOW), you get players in return that will help you more in the future. Did they want Freddy Garcia for an immediate high impact player? This deal should work out well for both teams, eventually they'll understand that. Boone's probly the next to get moved.
  5. I've got Boers and Bernstein on. That's the first time i've heard Mariotti in about a month. I don't think it's a security issue. It's just somehow we get too many random jagoffs that like getting extremely drunk and looking for violence. I don't really know how to stop that.
  6. The fact of the matter is that this stuff doesn't happen at Wrigley hardly at all. I've been to plenty of Cubs games and i haven't seen fights in the bleachers or anything of that nature. I'll be there friday, possibly Saturday SRO, and i'll be on the lookout for incidents. But this stuff happens at U.S. Cellular way too much in comparison to other parks, from what i can tell.
  7. This is all they've talked about on the Mariotti show this morning.
  8. I know this is pretty well known, but here's a huge article on it that's currently on the front page of ESPN.com Interesting tidbit...my best friend's sister graduated from the University of Minnesota and knows Brock very well. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1830855
  9. Blues net worries are looking better with the draft pick saturday and now acquiring Lalime
  10. LOL, was this the game Daniel Garibay got into the game for the Cubs and lost it?
  11. My daily schedule: 830-10: Murph and Fred 670 10-2: Boers and Bernstein 670 2-3: Dan Patrick 1000 3-4 or 5: Mac, Jurko, Harry 1000 Sometimes at night i'll listen to Sox postgame or some JHood I don't think i 'prefer' either station. I base what i listen to off of the show i like, not the station. Note that at school, though, i barely listen to any radio
  12. I think you are preaching to the choir here. As a percentage people on this board attend Sox games more often than the general public or the non hard core Sox fans. I think the majority of people on this board are either season ticket holders, or are getting to games as often as their financial situation/work schedule/family obligations/location allow them to.

  14. I believe this 'fact' is huge in getting him resigned. Kenny said this morning that he thinks the Sox have a "better than 60% chance of resigning him"
  15. That's not quite correct. We can re-sign him today, where as no other MLB team can. That's huge.
  16. Cut the Score a break. All they are reporting is that a deal is "close" or something, which means they are talking. I bet that much is true. It's nice to have such information that Ortiz is rumored highly right now, that's all.
  17. I questioned why he was still warming up after Konerko went yard. Then he entered. I said he'd give up 2 runs; he 'only' gave up one. Guess he exceeded expectations. In all seriousness, he needs to not pitch if the game is within 3 runs either way.
  18. I am not positive at all, but i thought it was partly due to the fact that he wasn't a very good 3B? I could be wrong. Either way, yeah Frank/Lee at first if Konerko were to be moved is fine with me.
  19. Tell you what, i'll do that next time Michigan beats the Illini in a Bball game
  20. I realize he was a third baseman, but how many years ago was that? I mean, i don't think Biggio would be a great catcher right now... I'd say Thomas plays first, Lee DH's. Thomas isn't great, but i don't think Carlos right now would be a good first baseman. I'm making this assumption off of the fact that he hasn't played much infield in many years
  21. Gload is not an outfielder, he's gotta be used exclusively off the bench as a pinch hitter. That was enough today. We won't have this problem soon though when Maggs comes back. But for now i'd rather see Timo out there in the outfield. Or Harris in Center, Rowand in right.
  22. Well considering the circumstances, that's what i see happening. I don't know too many Sox fans that are geared up for tomorrow's game. Zambrano vs. Diaz? It just looks flat out ugly That said, hope i'm wrong, hope we pull of a shocker.
