QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 10:41 PM) Came into this week 8-4 with sole possession of 2nd place. Teams in 3-5 are all of 7-5 and all should win. I FLEXed Nate Burleson over Ben Tate and Stephen Jackson. Burleson had 0, Tate had 28 and Jackson had 21. So now I need Russell Wilson and Steven Huaschka to combine for 34 points or I end up losing 3 straight and choke myself out of the playoffs. I know this will sound like hindsight is 20/20, but you should have been playing Tate, especially with the match up. I figured he could get close to 80-100 and a TD. I wouldn't have played Jackson over Burleson though. Either way, if Burleson gets 6-8 points, you'd be sitting in a lot better position.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) If Qwest Field is the best home field advantage, I would say the Superdome is a close second, I have been to both. The winner tomorrow night is the front runner for the #1 seed and favorite to make the Super Bowl. They just need to come up with something else besides home of the 12th man, since it's not theirs.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 09:30 AM) I always recommend a 5x5 program for people starting out, read this: http://muscleoldschool.com/5x5-a-weight-tr...and-mass-gains/ Do compound lifts like Bench, Squats, Deadlifts, rows, etc, don't worry about isolation exercises like bicep curls. And most importantly, if you're trying to build muscle...drink lots of alcohol. I'm not sure if that's right.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 07:52 PM) Just got back from the woods to see that Bama lost to Auburn. While (as an FSU fan) I was hoping to face Bama in the BCS Championship game because that's the game everyone wanted to see, I am A LOT more confident that they can beat OSU. Great news, provided they don't blow the ACC title game against Duke. FSU #1 in the BCS polls for the first time since 1999, they year they beat Mike Vick in the Sugar Bowl and made me a Noles fan. Good times. LOL

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 03:39 PM) YEP It just doesn't make sense. It was 2nd down, not 3rd so there isn't any logic.. Its not that he cant make 47, its that it gives it more time to miss wide.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 09:12 AM) I just hope you are warming up your Big Ten chant to counter the folks down south pulling for their conference. Sorry, with my experience with osu fans through the years, I'll basically never pull for osu. Plus urban Meyer.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 30, 2013 -> 11:01 PM) Because voters aren't going to put OSU at #10. Do you really think a one loss team jumps an undefeated team after 13 games? Im sure ESPN will talk about it enough for you to see every bit of info you desire. They too want an Sec team in the title game. They wouldn't have to be 10th. Edwards said there is a chance auburn could be 1 in the computers. Then it comes down to voters. Is it likely? Probably not. But it's far from impossible, which is what you were implying simply due to the bcs formula.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 30, 2013 -> 02:41 PM) Doesn't matter. They can't jump based on BCS math regardless of the voters. Link that explains this? 2/3 is voters. Why isn't it possible?

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 30, 2013 -> 07:06 PM) I totally called the result of that FG attempt. Unfortunately only my 4 y.o. daughter was in the room when I said it, so I have no verification. That was the dumbest coaching decision ever. An Auburn TD is a far more likely outcome on that play than an Alabama FG. Disagree. Almost made it, and they only kick it if they know he has made from there. However, there appeared to be no coaching against the return or different personnel.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Nov 30, 2013 -> 06:39 PM) I dont blame the kickers, I blame Saban for being too conservative on the two possessions inside Auburn territory when up 28-21. I guess Saban figured he could run it up the middle every play and win the game. Anyways, congrats to FSU for being national champs. Well pending investigation, who knows

That osu defense is terrible, not one that should be in a championship game. Will be interested to see what voters do with auburn if they beat Alabama.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 28, 2013 -> 11:37 PM) I understand that you don't want players running around the field with helmets off, but he was falling down while his helmet came off. The rule should at least give him the benefit of his forward motion and give him the spot where he lands, in that case a touchdown. It was brutal though, as soon as it happened, Heath Miller went straight for the camera to block its view, like "This dude might be dead, turn that s*** off". Way too much gray area there. You could have defensive guys trying to make a play on a stumbling or falling player, knowing he's still gaining yardage. Plus, then he could fumble and there could be a pile up etc. Hockey has the same rule with goaltender masks.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Nov 28, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) Got my "f*** the soft nfl rules" post queued up if I lose by the 6 points Le'veon Bell should have got on that brutal play. Hope he's alright. Should be alright though after getting 79 points out of my killer B's Bell, Bush, and Big Ben. Soft nfl for stopping a play when someone's helmet comes off so someone doesn't die on the field from a helmet to skull hit? It's unlucky from a fantasy perspective, but to b**** about being soft due to that rule is ridiculous.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 28, 2013 -> 12:23 AM) He just brings so much and now on the point of the PP he's been dangerous. He does so many little things that get missed by casual fans and even the announcers. What a great player. I mean this must be what it felt to have lindstrom all those years. Correct. Watching/scouting a good defenseman isn't easy for a casual fan like it is for a forward. Oh, he scores a lot, must be good. There's so many first passes and little board plays and ACTIVE STICK PLAYS and reads he makes that are great. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 28, 2013 -> 12:27 AM) Of course during the discussion some meathead jumps in and says he's basically Paul Coffey. Come on bro. Paul Coffey in his prime = video game numbers.
