I think this team is dumb. I think this team has poor leadership. I think this team does not give 100 percent. Those are the qualifications i have for saying they lack heart. Talent wise, this is a 100 win team. OBVIOUSLY, something is lacking.

Keep trying, maybe you will strike your one in a million some day. I disagree. How do you go from 7.5 games back of the Royals and down to two games without showing heart? This team has not given up on themselves like most of the fans on this site. What about the three game set against the Twins? The Royals? The Cubs? This team wants to win. We've seen it in the past, and we're going to see it again. CWSOX45 Dude i havent given up. In fact i think the sox may just take the division. My point is, i dont see that they have what it takes to get past the 1st round of the playoffs. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Well maybe my definition of no heart is broader than yours. I think heart includes smarts, and all that. When i say heart, i guess i mean everything beyond talent, like chemistry, intelligence, effort, etc.

Noone said he was the problem. If we only had one............... The point was, he is not the pitcher as advertised, and if he hasnt shown that promise by now, he likely wont. Two years ago, Garland was my favorite player. I was so high on him. Just like CLuejer, im f***ing tired of waiting for even a glimmer of that promise to shine through. Stop your excuse making. He's 23 years old. He's just turning the corner. Most guys don't reach their full potential until their late 20's or early 30's. I have seen this team plenty - the series against cubs/twins/cubs/twins - the way we roared after the all star break the series in KC and then home against KC - plenty of heart the 2-1 loss to Anaheim showed heart for AR and MB and MO this team has never surrended, never given up, never backed down, and for all its problems at time it is mid Agust and we are 2 out that that is heart enough shown to indicate that we may have all we need now say something caustic and insulting and sarcastic about how I know nothing about baseball and am not a true fan and all the other things you have posted about me and I will go back to wisely ignoring you and keep trying, maybe you will strike your one in a million some day. LOL, ill ignore your self pity. Back to your other points. YES, they show heart when they want to, but that only seems to be against certain teams. You know the old saying.............you cant just turn it on and off when you want, and expect to go anywhere. This sox team does that and i really dont see how you can deny that. DOes this team have the talent to win it all? Yes. I cant and wont debate that. I just know that i know what a winning baseball teams looks like, and i try not to let my love for the white sox ruin my onjectivity. I want this team to win badly. I just dont think they want it as badly as i do, or you do. Their lack of interest, at times, shows.

Well teams chemistry changes from year to year, but they have proven winners up and down their lineup and pitching staff. It doesnt mean theyre going to win it all, but id take my chances with them, over a team lead by Frank Thomas. Thats for sure.
