I agree - I mean, it's all just semantics, but "getting rocked" does bring up ( at least in MY mind ) an image of guys just pounding a pitcher - doubles, homers, like that. Cotts "couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat" the other night. Rocked is shorter, easier.

This thread was in response to the moronic Cotts fan club thread. I mean yeah support the guy, but he got totally ROCKED. Oh, and yeah i was absolutely hammered........ Rocked means getting hit. His problem was walks Rocked means giving up runs and looking like s***, both of which he accomplished. I know rocked as giving up runs but specifically being hit, and hit hard, not walks I don't think you could say "we rocked that pitcher" to describe how well your team took walks that game No, but if i was a pitcher, and i was Cotts in that game, i would easily say i got rocked. My definiton of the word is just a little bit more general than yours. We both know what i meant.

ok... with the schedule we got, when do we go with a 4-man rotation? we blew the fifth starter.... not going to happen this late in the game. wins are precious this time of year... we need every one of them.... i think we are past the point of fumble-f***ing around for a fifth starter If we go to a 4-man rotation, then you get into the bullpen every game. They won't let complete games happen for fear of overworking the starters. I think the 5th starter is lesser or two evils, so to speak. Question. When teams get big leads in divisional races. Why dont they go to 6 man rotations, to get their starters that added rest? Just curious?

WELLIN sayin thats is crap because everyone my age hates classic rock....... what does your age have to do with it? and aren't you the person who started this thread looking for classic rock suggestions????????? I am my age and I despise classic rock as a format or genre and will not allow it on anything I own but despite it being the Lawrence Welk format of my generation (what ever happened to hope I die before I get old) their is a lot of great music from that era and Deep Purple gave us some of it - there is great music from every era and one should appreciate it all and not limit one's self - but classic rock as a format is for old people who refuse to learn anything new - IMHO (and watch me get flamed by a bunch of future AARPers for that!) and Deep Purple rocks! Me thinks a guy with eminem as his musical hero will not get a lot of praise for his mucsical taste or knowledge....

I dunno man. If you want to be fair to the kid, it would probably be easier on Cotts if he came out of the pen for awhile. There is a lot of pressure on a young kid like him, with starting games.

How could you POSSIBLY be into music and not get it? I personally dont LOVE any of those bands, but they were Pioneers to Rock n roll.

One other thing. The doors were YEARS, many years, ahead of their time with their sound and style. They are not one of my favorites of all time, but they were a very good band.
