They have to play for the MAC championship now, I think they can do it. As long as they don't play BGSU in the MAC championship game.

I thought the he was gonna make the kick. All the ingrediants were there, 5th year senior first ever game grew up in State College PA. entire family in attendance

now if that movie was more realistic, Cole would have sipped on a cold can of mellow yellow in front of the cameras, before kissing his ex wife.

I have always liked that movie.

$$ has gotten to her head I guess.

I too read that he isn't shortening his swing, not sure if it has to do with him not listening though. (of course if analysts and the common fan can see he needs to shorten his swing, common logic implies that the coaches probably want to see that swing get a little shorter )

I know a lot of high schoolers that went trick or treating. I preferred to go watch the Nets with some of my friends, but if the nets weren't playing we probably would have gone trick or treating. The problem is, when you are 2 months short of your 17th b-day, some people turn down your request for candy.

The Spartans showed a lot of heart. I don't think Perry will get Heisman consideration because 1) Michigan has 2 losses. and 2) He didn't play well in michigans losses. he certaintly showed a lot of heart out their today.

I think everything sounds great except the Nick Johnson deal. I think the Yankees would only be interested in Ginter, to help their bullpen, and they wouldn't give up Johnson for Ginter.

Michigan tops Michigan State 27-20 in a thriller Michigan had the game in hand 27-13 deep in State territory with less than 5 mins remaining, and ran a naked boot on first down, navarre got hit and fumbled, State ran it back for a td. Michigan ran the clock down to about 1:20, and then punted. State moved to midfield before throwing a pick on a last second hal-mary. Player of the game: Chris Perry over 50 carries, over 200 yards and a td. Edwards also caught 2 td passes for Michigan.

yeah, nothing like reinforcing the stereotypes yourself. I may have missed some sort of a punch line there, but I don't think assosiating a street gang with violent acts is stereotyping, especially when they were guilty of the acts. latin kings...latino teens...gangs...sharks...jets...crimes.... ahhhh, forget it. this is going right over my head

Ah the Latin Kings, a rare jewel, that I have sincerely missed since moving The were pretty prevalent in my old school. A few true acts of violence, some gang rapings, felonies, but usually just liked to beat kids up. Luckily I never had an encounter with one.

Though I don't agree that other games are for mental midgets, I do believe that sports games are the best. The only non-sports game I own is GTA Vice City. But back in the day I was obsessed with Link and Zelda for Original Nintendo. I was also a big fan of Uni-racers, Mario for SNES. Starfox owned 64.

Give me some numbers. I think he is good for 12, possibly 16, but no more than that.

This conversation might not be so civil if Michigan loses

I am sure it will come down to the $$$ that the Sox won't give Hawkins.

I see it a little differently. I think the game will be determined by Michigans defense. As far as I am concerned, Michigan is a lock for at least 17. So if the defense comes out ready to put the heat on smoker, look out state. If michigan slips into the soft zone, look out wolverines. Special teams is also important in this game, just when it seems the team is clicking on all cylinders, the special teams will take the wind right out of a michigan fan's sails.

2 Reasons why I don't think Marte should close for the Sox. 1) 11 out of 18 is a terrible ratio for a closer to have 2) He puts to many men on with the Base on Balls. Marte is a great reliever and if he was our closer he might save, 30 maybe 35 games, but if he is going to blow 10-15 saves, what is the point? I think Marte is a great lefty setup man, and it should stay that way.

I would pay 20 million to get a pitcher as dominating as Sandy Koufax was in his prime.

State is the better team at QB, but Michigan is the more talented team overall. Though they have not played to their potential, Michigan is considered to be one of the most talented teams in the country. The Wolverines are superior on the lines, and have a very athletic secondary. The problems occur when they use the zone defense that they used against Iowa, then teams find holes and quickly march down the field against the wolverines w/o even having to run the ball. Of course when Michigan plays tighter zones, and man to man they can dominate, as they did against purdue. Michigan also has the best recieving corps. in the big ten. The question is, can Navarre get them the ball in hostile environment? State can catch the ball, the recievers and ends are getting the expierence. State is tough, only weakness is going to be that big boy, Edwards I think is his name, against out db's. Our safeties can play with anyone, but I am worried about Maples and whomever plays along side of him. Edwards and Avant are the two guys you have to really look out for. Edwards has height and speed, he is built in the Plaxico Burress mold. Avant is not as tall but is really speedy, I can't think of a good comparison off hand, maybe Tai Streets. You can't underestimate the other recievers either. Breaston is one of the fastest guys in the country (a taller version of Daunte Hall), and Tabb has also broken some big gains. I am definately not worried about those guys. It is everyone else on the team that scares the s*** out of me.

I would take Jaren Hayes over Perry. Perry plays VERY well on turf, but overall he doesn't have the speed that great RB's have. Well good thing MSU has grass then, eh. Are you serious . Wow, do you know when they put in a natural surface, I know they had turf in 2001 when the time keeper f***ed us up the ass. I can't believe they have grass. Supersteve, you just ruined my day.

If you need a lesson in bad contracts look at the mets of 1992, and the mets of 2002. The two WORST teams money can buy.
