  1. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 08:31 PM) Haven't seen you for a while. Good to see you! Thanks, it has been a while... but I love this new icon
  2. Garland has never had a 'punch out' pitch...imagine if he did.
  3. Bandwagon fans are part of the game...I'll accept them. Anyone who gives $$$ to the team I feel passionate is ok in my eyes.
  4. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 05:11 AM) The city. I do agree, most of them are incompetent. Jobs for election season. I do not know if they are incompetent, they just seem to follow the light pattern exactly. Maybe not incompetent, but needless for sure.
  5. For the record, I am not seriously promoting going out and intentionally injuring Stanton. If he does sprain an ankle or something, I would be relieved. But I think its wrong to hurt players on purpose. Especially for Michigan...we are the class of the big ten. Leave choking to the team from that state to the south.
  6. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) anything is possible. It's just unrealistic. They aren't losing to Penn State and Minnesota. They will also surprise MSU who will take them lightly. I don't know about that last part. MSU will be looking to avenge Michigan's comeback victory last year. The solution: Hurt Stanton again Whatever wins games
  7. QUOTE(tpezz27 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) That theory only works with the Red Sox and Yankees both losing and the Sox winning. The Sox would be at 95 today with a win, Cleveland with a loss is at 92. They win out we lose out, they beat us. The Yankees and Red Sox are both at 92. If Boston wins today and the Yankees lose then they are at 93 and 92. They both win their last game of the series to be at 94 and 93. Then the Yankees win two out of three and they are at 95 and Boston is at 95! somebody is loving the:
  8. I don't think Blum deserves the blame for this one. Too many runners were stranded in the game to point the finger at Blum's gidp.
  9. Lets start getting this s*** done!
  10. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) huh? I know you hate michigan but come on. Yea, 6-5 is possible...but not the best case scenario
  11. Thats not just a hurricane...its the hurricane of looooove
  12. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 05:16 AM) I saw a guy on campus with a Fidel Castro shirt on. Fidel is too far. I am thinking about getting a soviet union fan...I'm self-admittingly going through my "communism might not be so bad...if the leaders weren't such f***in' bastards" phase Nah in reality democratic socialism is the way to go
  13. NUKE, I have a che poster in my dorm room
  14. I don't know...hard to blame the guy. I am a liberal, but I must say that this is the kind of thing you can never be prepared for. Unless it actually happens, you don't know how the s*** is going to go down. I can not blame Bush, FEMA, or the government for early Katrina failures. Where they have to prove themselves is recovering the city, and keeping these people on their feet.
  15. I hope all turns out well for the Crede family. Joe seems like a great guy, my thoughts are going to be with him during the game
  16. MICHIGAN 1) Top five in the country as far as talent goes 2) The defense is rather solid. They played poorly against NIU. But dominated Notre Dame in the second half, and didn't play terrible in the first half either. You can't put Wisconsin on the defense, they were out there the entire second half, and had little field to work with. 3) They won't have an epoch crash that many are predicting and want to see this season, they aren't going to win the big ten either. 4) I like Carr, but year in and year out the talent is underachieving... 5) If things don't come together and michigan loses five games...big f***in deal. In 1984 Michigan finished .500, only to come back and win 10 games in '85 and beat Nebraska in the Fiesta bowl. In '95 and '96 Michigan suffered consecutive 4 loss seasons, look what happened in '97. When in doubt as a Michigan fan, bring up the facts: Big Ten titles: Michigan 41, Ohio St. 29 Head to Head with the Bucks: Michigan: 57-38-6 Most wins in college football history: Michigan Highest Winning percentage: Michigan Who makes the big ten look good One mediocre season doesn't tarnish the Wolverines...
  17. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 04:19 AM) I say Pitt absolutely sucks and tearing down the goalposts against them for any program would be embarrasing unless your clinching a championship. Pitt is two plays from being 3-1... But I see what you are saying, their name is not what it was a month ago
  18. There is a question plaguing many at Rutgers... Friday Pitt is coming to town. Our program is off to a 2-1 start, has a lot of talent building and we are finally trying to break out. So Pitt was a big game on the schedule...Does there collapse and fall in the standings mean that this is no longer a goal post game? Many say tear them down...the traditionalists say "the school that invented college football does not tear down goal posts" I say Pitt is still a big enough game, just because they are Pitt and we are Rutgers. What do you guys think? What does it take to bring those b****es down?
  19. QUOTE(farmteam @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 04:05 AM) Stupid question: Can teams from the same division play eachother in the first round? no
  20. 4 home runs against RJ in one inning...thats always a good thing to remember
  21. None of the teams are that great, but they all have dangerous lineups. My friend has yankees playoff tickets, so I'd get to go with him if we play the yankees...that would be sweet. I don't know, I think the Angels or Boston would be easier to take down.
  22. Living NJ its hard, but I went to all the games at Yankee stadium this year. So, record: 2-1

    I saw the Lama today

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) He may have been boring, but on your deathbed, you will have total consciousness.... Which is nice. His translator had a voice crack that caused a slight chuckle in the audience...all of those who chuckled lose their total consciousness...I chuckled.

    I saw the Lama today

The Dalai Lama gave a lecture at Rutgers stadium today. It was sort of a disaster because I opened my envelope and discovered that I had only one ticket, and one blank ticket that just said "The Dalai Lama at Rutgers" that is included with every ticket order. I had purchased to five dollar upper deck tickets, and this ticket was $10 and in the lower deck. So I gave it to my girlfriend and tried to get in with the blank ticket. The woman at the turnstiles wasn't paying attention so I got in. I feel kind of bad saying this but the Lama was kind of boring. I have to admit that I was spaced out for a good deal of the hour and a half lecture. The whole time I was thinking "Hey, Lama! How 'bout a little something for the effort? ya' know?" At least I can say I saw the Dalai Lama
