AJ's not dead yet.
-
QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ May 1, 2010 -> 03:59 PM) Here is a constructive, positive idea that doesn´t really deserve its own thread yet. Do we bring up Flowers soon since he is raking at Charlotte? AJ is not hitting at all and maybe now is the time to bring up Ty. Unless we want to preserve his ARB clock. I'm fine bringing him up, after the Arb Clock isn't an issue anymore, not sure exactly when that would be though.

Lets just try and clear some cap space, and make a run at LeBron this summer.
-
Teahen's so bad defensively.
-
Danks didn't have his good stuff, but he's done well. The infield's let him down a few times now.\ Edit: Really? Still pitching?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 1, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) I said he's been an absolute failure in the #2 hole. You're arguing that huge has been a huge success so far? I didn't say Gordon sucks. I said he's been a failure in the #2 hole so far. Sure he has potential to be a great hitter but he's sucked for 4+ weeks straight now. I'm not saying you're wrong so far, but I wouldn't move him down because he's going to be one of the top 2-3 hitters on this club any way you slice it.

Oh no. Please not Randy Williams. Let Juan throw some innings or something.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 1, 2010 -> 03:13 PM) "Mark Teahan is a good/solid defender. He's the least of our problems." Buddy Bell (and 1/3rd of the posters here) That quote is half correct.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 1, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) He's been an absolute failure in the #2 hole this year. Kotsay, who has about 15 ABs this year, already has more HRs and tied him in RBIs. Well at least we're not making snap judgments based on a small number of games.
-
Why can't the Yankees level their field?
-
Alright Kotsay! Way to prove me wrong.
-
Way to get a ground ball Johnny.
-
QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 1, 2010 -> 02:13 PM) Our pitchers just HAVE to start getting ahead of these hitters... They're too patient for John to get away with this much longer.

Jones again!

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) We all know Juan is brutal right now. I am sure he knows it, his mother knows it, his wife knows it, his dog probably is not even running to him when he comes home at night. The same goes for Vizquel...the guy is 67 years old. He has NO business being on his office softball team, let alone starting on a professional baseball team. But GUESS WHAT? It's who we have in the f***ing starting lineup today. So let's cheer for them to get the job done, whether it's by some miracle of Jehovah or by getting hit by a pitch. I hate coming in here and people are already forecasting doom before anything negative even happens. What is the f***ing point? Why torture yourself if you have that attitude? Why even bother? Go out and do some yardwork. Go shopping. Play golf. I don't care what you do. But I want to follow the game because I am stuck at work, and it would be nice if I could do so without wanting to slit my wrists even more than this bastard sitting in the desk behind is making me want to. So have some f***ing faith and cheer your team on. I don't think you understand. When I say negative things about Pierre/Vizquel/Kotsay, I'd love to be proven wrong, but I understand that they are what they are, and that's mediocre baseball players. I'm not going to have blind faith in sub-par players, I know better.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:48 PM) Girardi has Granderson in the line-up who is 1-19 (now 1-20) career vs. Danks. He really is a terrible manager himself (oh, what he won the World Series last year with the Yanks Ace!!) Two micro-managers going at it, but ya.. Girardi is bad. I don't think the 1-20 is the issue, it's that Granderson should never play against a LHP. His splits are really dramatic.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:37 PM) Jeesh, you guys are impossible to go through a game with. What a miserable group! Everyone needs to get laid! I'm curious, what should we say? This team is bad. It's not the end of the world, but it is a fact.
-
QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) God I can't believe Ozzie loves that guy. Other than Kalapse, I don't think there's a single poster here that hates Pierre's game as much as I do. I'm in the running, slappy fast guys who can't play good defense don't sit well with me.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:12 PM) I have never seen OBP be a stat put up on TV with .avg/rbi/hr Andruw is cool. I noticed Comcast doing it last year, and I love it.
-
Andruw Jones FTW!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:09 PM) Why the hell would you have either of them leadoff?!? There's something we can all agree on.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) They are both around .100. It doesn't really matter. Small sample size. I'll guarantee you Kotsay's numbers end up far better than Omar's.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 1, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) With the injuries, he doesn't have much choice. I'd leadoff Kotsay before I'd lead off Vizquel. The guy can't hit anymore.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) Seriously, I'll never understand the hate for Jeter. Mostly the media hype, for me at least.
