  1. You really get what you pay for, though.
  2. Hot Pockets are suprisingly underrated for drunk food.
  3. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Dec 16, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) If Saladino is for real, and Escobar could be a stopgap, maybe we should be shopping Alexei. Good market for it this year; I bet the Giants would pay up. I love this idea. He's probably our most valuable MLB asset, and trading him would be a huge step towards finally having a respectable minor league system.
  4. QUOTE (farmteam @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 01:17 AM) I was just thinking the same thing. And if she was only 17 at the time...well, I was 15 or 16 at the time, so that's gotta be legal somehow. I was just thinking about this. Are your formerly appropriate crushes grandfathered in as spank bank material?
  5. Watching Derrick Rose dunk on people. And I guess I'll see some family...
  6. I was a homeless person last weekend. I even pounded a 40 for authenticity. I'm leaning tea party member for this weekend, though.
  7. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 04:55 PM) You don't think so? This deal makes him more tradeable. We're not competing for a few years most likely, so if you can get something for a reliever you do it. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) Not absolutely sucking scouting wise would be nice, too. I realize money is a big part. But wow. You would think you'd hit on one first-round pick by accident over the course of a decade (the jury is still out on Sale). Sale's floor is nasty reliever, so I'll call that pick a win.

    i am drunk

Time for Sex and Pizza*. Everything is wonderful. *One at a time, no Costanza
  9. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Sep 27, 2011 -> 02:41 PM) The guided missile pressure button has been removed, and I guess you have to play real defense now. Also youth squads/scouting is in Manager Mode, so that's huge for me. Can't wait to play it tonight. Really got to play a good amount of this for the first time tonight, and it's so much fun. No more race down the wings and cross, the game plays more like real soccer than any game I've ever played. I feel like I'm scoring goals in so many different ways now, which is a ton more fun. Doing a manager mode with AFC Wimbledon in League 2 and I'm spending all of my money on scouting/youth players.
  10. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 26, 2011 -> 10:30 AM) Debating picking that up. Wonder if it's worth the upgrade from FIFA 11 though The guided missile pressure button has been removed, and I guess you have to play real defense now. Also youth squads/scouting is in Manager Mode, so that's huge for me. Can't wait to play it tonight.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 23, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) nancygay Nancy Gay by MDGonzales @ RT: @darrenrovell: At a reported $47 million, it cost Sony more to make "Moneyball" than it cost the A's to field their entire 2002 roster. This is why what Beane did with those teams was impressive, even if the rest of baseball caught up in time.
  12. Pre-ordered FIFA 12 on Amazon. I'm really damn excited to play it.
  13. Honestly, before he had that gruesome leg injury Ozzie Guillen was one of the best defensive SS to ever play the game.
  14. In 90 games in 09', Crede still put up 1.8 fWAR. It's just too bad the back pain robbed him of a huge chunk of a great career.
  15. The picks in the first 15 are protected, so the Sox wouldn't lose them if they signed a type-A free agent, not that I see the Sox doing that.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 02:06 AM) If only. Sony really f***ing hates that though, so if I do that, it'll wipe my hard drive. I'm losing two things ultimately, the ability to play my PS2 games and about $50 worth of RB songs I downloaded when RB1 came out. But if I ever feel the want to go get those, I can bite the bullet (I don't even have my RB controllers with me at college and I rarely play the old songs now with the keyboard anyway). You can re-download anything you purchase on PSN, so you can at least get these back.
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 01:54 AM) In related news Last Friday night Paul Konerko hit some shots Adam Dunn struck out a lot Think we lost but I forgot Last Friday night You can put it on the board It's too bad that we can't score This team makes me really bored Last Friday night Buehrle was on the mark Viciedo caused a spark Alex Rios sucks a lot Last Friday Night I don't know what game I saw Please make the suckage stop BOOOOOOO-OH-OH This Friday night Watch them suck again... This Friday night Oh not this s*** again... If I was wearing a hat I would tip it. Outstanding!
  18. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 02:03 PM) The Sox will get down on Fridays, winning at a better than .750 clip to start weekends. Fun fun fun. This prediction is dated and wrong!
  19. Juan Pierre likes standard rock band arrangements because they have just one Bass. When Juan Pierre buys double-mint gum, he only chews half of the stick. Juan Pierre thinks The Sign is an awesome song because "Ace of Base" refers to base and one in their name. When Juan Pierre gets a Grand Slam at Denny's, only the Pancakes are eaten. Juan Pierre hates buying full albums, and prefers to purchase the singles.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) I'd love to know what he projects as an "Ace"/#1. I listen to his podcast religiously, and only borderline Cy Young contenders are aces to him. Not that much of a slight, really.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 01:03 AM) Yeah, if the walk rate can remain around 10-12% then he should be fine. But he does K a ton. And you will see pitchers make adjustments and dare him to swing the bat at some point. And I think he has just enough power to make them pay and back off some.
