  1. Hawks premature stretch calls make me sad in pants
  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:06 PM) Not sure why but I watched Alpha Dog last night. Overall not very good, but I didn't know that a lot of it was shot around here. They found some obscure places in So Cal. I really liked the movie. i thought Hirsch and Timberlake over acted a little bit but I found it very interesting because it was a true story and according to what I read, the movie was very similar to what really happened.
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 30, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) I've always heard that isolation type exercises like the ones you're describing are mostly for shaping and definition, but won't give you much gains in size. Not true? Generally thats true in comparison to stuff like military press and benching but it seems when youre lifting your tris are carrying the bulk of the load and doing that stuff is a good way to strengthen your other muscles and stabilizers so when you want to increase in weight and use proper form youre shoulders and chest are your primary muscles and your tris are secondary instead of the other way around.
  4. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 30, 2007 -> 12:20 PM) Sorry, but while there's great advice flying around, I'm gonna hijack this thread and ask another workout question. I have decent size shoulders and chest but HUGE triceps. It seems that on a lot of chest and shoulder exercises, like flat bench, incline bench and military presses, it's my tris that are doing the majority of the work and thus the difference in size. I've tried barbells, dumbells, machines and different grips and form and nothing seems to work. Any advice?? Do some exercises that isolate your shoulders and chest, and when you do stuff that works both go lighter and do more reps. Some good stuff for chest is cable flies and even decline doesnt hit your tries that much. For your shoulders try doing some front and side raises or upright rows. Also, do some straight bar benching but with a really wide grip. The closer together your hands are the more it works your tris.
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 29, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) Not one A-Rod mention so far? I was gonna mention him instead of Miggy, but I was factoring in his salary/age/clutch performances
  6. Pujols, Santana, Sizemore, Peavy, Cabrera
  7. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ May 29, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) I think MMA is one of the hardest things to put any considerable odds on. Any fighter can be beaten at any time. Just look at the upsets already this year: Gonzaga over Cro Cop Serra over St Pierre Dan Henderson KO of Silva Couture over Sylvia (arguably) The list goes on. There is no sure thing in MMA. Guys develop new attacks, new skills and new fight approaches every fight. The amount of adaptation in the sport is unreal. I think most MMA fans who are not just "UFC" fans knew that Rampage had a very good shot at taking Liddell out. Tell me about it. Its hard to bet on something where a guy can dominate for three rounds and lose because of one punch or kick. I think the Gonzaga over Crocop was the biggest upset so far this year.
  8. QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ May 29, 2007 -> 01:19 PM) Why does it seem so reality show like? it reminded me of that show on MTV where you have to get the parents approval before you can go out with them.
  9. Dont forget also, Kobe might still be young, but hes got a lot of wear and tear in him. His body is probably similair to someone in their early 30's
  10. QUOTE(zenryan @ May 28, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) -140 isnt a big favorite for a fight. but I think he went off at around -200. I believe last I saw was he was -140 and Rampage was +200. Either way he was favored.
  11. Ron Mexico manages to turn into a bigger piece of s*** every week.
  12. This sounds like an MTV reality show. Id recommend trying something I learned at SIU on your next date. Its called the DrunkBomb.
  13. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 30, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) For those wanting to catch up on Scrubs and other shows for that matter, this website is pure genius: http://www.yourtvlinks.com/ *** I've watched a bunch of Entourage and will begin catching up on Scrubs with how highly it is talking about here. Wow, thats perhaps the greatest web site there is.
  14. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ May 28, 2007 -> 06:11 PM) 360 has had something like a 60% failure rate with their systems, which is just insane. You'd think after the launch the problems would have gotten lighter, but in fact they've gotten worse. Stories of people going through 8 or 9 360s are pretty common. PS3 problems are pretty much nonexistant, except with the usual stuff to be expected of new technology. I think that was the main reason for all the delays in the release of the PS3. They didnt want to rush it out with a bunch of bugs, and xbox came out too quickley.
  15. QUOTE(RX Bandits @ May 28, 2007 -> 11:51 AM) speaking of that game, did you ever figure out how to exchange those tickets? ticketbastard wasnt working for me. They were my friends tickets and he called, they said normally they dont do stuff like this but they had a lot of complaints about the situation. They said we can go to a game later in the season but I think we get different seats. Im not 100% sure, Ill ask him though.
  16. Ya, I had the same problem with the Yankee rainout.
  17. I would be willing to deal a lot to get a guy like Kobe. A guy like him who has the ability to dominate offensively and defensively would put this team over the hump as long as we got to keep either Gordon or Deng. I think it would have to be something like Gordon/Deng, Tyrus and our pick this year.
  18. What a bunch of bulls*** this game is. Its ruining my holiday weekend.
  19. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ May 27, 2007 -> 12:36 AM) I wouldn't call this an upset really Las Vegas would. Liddell was a favorite to win the fight. He was -140 or something.
  20. Well I cant say Im a fan of that, at least were getting some runners on though
  21. Liddell loses. Continues the streak of UFC upsets on main events.
