Netflix now has a feature where you can watch certain movies online but you need to use IE for it to work. Thats pretty much the extent of my use of it.

Wow, thats a new idea and one of the better causes Ive seen outside the box. Something like that would probably do wonders for those kids self esteem.

It would be nice if he does but with the way the market is looking Im sure there will be a few teams throwing a ton at him. We'll just ave to see what happens.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) Nothing against you personally, but good for the dealer. Car makers set retail prices for new cars. If the dealer is higher than that price, then yeah, you should raise a point. I hated it when people used to come to the liquor store and try to make deals as if it was some market in Mexico. Used houses, used cars, yes there should be some negotiations because not every model of a used car is going to be the same like when it first comes out (in theory.) You played hardball with that dealership, and they didn't give in. They'll just get someone else to buy it. Ya, but I think it was also the issue of being lied to. If one guy there tells them he can do that price and then one guy says they cant its just giving him the run around.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:39 PM) Update: I contacted a competing dealership that does not have a friendly relationship with LM. He is finding the exact same car that I was looking at previously, and is working to beat the numbers that I was given by LM. There ya go, if they don like LM they might give you a good deal just to stick it to them!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:59 PM) Just don't get the rust proofing! Whenever I think about somebody ordering rust proofing I get a visual in my head of all the salesman lighting up cigars and laughing when you walk out of the dealership.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 01:25 PM) The problem is that he was supposed to bring in Jenks at the bottom of the stairs to pad the fall, and instead he put Mackowiak in the center of the stairs. Anderson was supposed to be the pusher, but he pushed and missed. Luckily Konerko came up and fell into a double play knocking them both down. Thats not it at all, Ozzie wanted Toby Hall at the bottom of the stirs to catch him.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:40 PM) Dealerships. Ive contacted the lisle dealership as well. The problem is that LM had the exact car I want, now I have to try and find it somewhere else. It was brand new right, I would think if places didnt have it they could order one.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:21 PM) I just don't like the way he carries himself, and I hate Notre Dame with a passion too. So it kinda piles up. I also think he is highly overrated. +1 for Quinn. I also despise Notre Dame, I almost look at them like I look at the Cubs, it seems many people root for them is because it is the thing to do. I try not to let my hatred of ND distort my opinion on prospects but the way Quinn performed in big games leads me to believe he wont cut it in the pros. -
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) They are the worst. Im now in an email battle with the GM. The key is dont fall in love with the car, and make sure if you dont like the deal, dont take it. If you dont reach an agreement with LM are you gonna go to different dealerships or look for a different car?

This is turning into such a grey area its gonna be hard to allow people to write about stuff like this without being suspicious. First off, what he wrote was pretty messed up and it is very odd he chose to wrote that, especially with whats going on in the country these days, but whose job is it to screen them and make the decision on what to do? Is there going to be an authority who decides who is a threat and who isnt? Absolute worse case scenario...say this kid really had plans on doing this, is this minor arrest going to stop him or make him more angry? Are they going to watch him like a hawk from now on until he leaves for the military? Say they are planning on watching him, is that fair to him if it was simply something he wrote with no merit? I can see how this situation at VT could shake people up but you cant make someone out to be a mass murderer because of a creative writing paper. This story is gonna make this kid look nuts to everyone regardless of what his reasons were and thats not really fair. I reiterate though, that essay is messed up.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 27, 2007 -> 09:05 AM) Just about to give another update. After I left the GM of the dealership called me and told me that the numbers I wanted were totally not doable. The funny thing is he also told me that the numbers his own finance manager quoted me were not doable. He then tried to convince me that he wasnt making any profit, my trade in was crap (which it isnt at all) and that the payments were totally off base. One of them is lying, try and figure out who. Car buying is seriously the gayest thing. They could make it so much easier than it is. I agree. Two of my good friends used to be car salesman so I normally bring at least one, if not both with me when me or a family are looking for a car. Some of the lies that these people come up with is entertaining. The new trick Ive noticed is they put popular cars on their web site at an amazing price and when you call and ask about it they say its there and to come on in, but in all actuality it never existed.

QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 01:27 PM) It's probably more leaked out news so that he'll fall in the draft. Interesting to note: The Tribune has the Bears taking Marshawn Lynch, then Justin Durant from Hampton in the 2nd. http://forecaster.chicagosports.chicagotri...7-nfldraft-mock Does it have us moving up? I thought the Pack were really taking a look at Lynch. I also doubt we would go RB in the first roun. -
QUOTE(Top Notch @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) When did I call you ignorant? Well your original response was taken down but its no big deal. My point was even if its not him it was just for fun
