QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2012 -> 05:13 PM) I don't think it really needed "New evidence" to know that if Paterno wanted him protected, he'd be protected, and if Paterno decided it was time to get the authorities involved, the authorities would have been involved. This.

Ive been wrong plenty of times, and the times it had to do with posts on this forum it was brought to my attention immediately.

I thought Ted was really funny at parts. The ending was kind of meh but a lot of the humor had the audience literally lol'ing. I could see a lot of PC types not liking it but those types dont like much fun stuff anyway.

Out of curiosity where are the people that were claiming that JoePa wasnt the most powerful man at PSU?

I normally try to tip really well. It would take something severe for me not to leave a tip but there have been a few times I have done it. The most recent was to a cab driver who insisted on dropping me off 2 blocks away from where I was going because he didnt want to have to make a left turn. Most of the times at a restaurant Ill tip 20% at least because I know that money doesnt just go to the waiter/waitress but its also for the bussing, runners, bartenders etc. If I get really bad service somewhere I probably just wouldnt go back.

Established OOTP league needs a manager
DrunkBomber replied to DrunkBomber's topic in PTC/Contest/Fantasy Board
Well we would probably be able to find a license for the rest of the time we use 11 but for 13 everyone is on their own. I guess they skipped 12 because it didnt offer anything new to 11. -
http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85455 I made a thread looking for a manager in an OOTP league but I dont know how many people check that forum so here is a link.

I joined a league in January through a friend and weve been through two seasons since I joined and the league now needs a new owner to take over the Mariners. The league has been around for a long time, were currently in the offseason going into the 2045 season. We are currently using OOTP 11 and will be for the upcoming season and then will be switching to OOTP 13. I am pretty sure we can come up with a license for the last season on 11 but there wouldnt be any guarantees for getting a free one for 13. Worst case scenario youd have to buy your own copy of the game ($20) or find someone to split it with (each purchase comes with 2 licenses) or possibly even find someone to give you their second license. The league is very well run and organized. They sim 8 calendar days every M/W/F and normally run a sim every day during the offseason. If youre interested let me know via pm or in this thread. As I said the Mariners are the open team, they have some nice players but have basically been left unmanaged for a full season. http://united-baseball.org/board/index.php theres a link to the forum, which you can also use to navigate to the leagues statslab or the chatroom where they do live sims during the playoffs. http://www.united-baseball.org/news/html/teams/team_13.html Theres a link to the Mariners page with all their info. Let me know if youre interested, as I said were in the offseason, tomorrow is the rule 5 draft and day 1 of FA starts Friday.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 12:20 PM) Are you going to sit there Thibs or are you going to get a t and protect your players? How long will it take for him to understand that refs wont give you calls unless you freak out, its so annoying. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) Dont worry, Thibs is just going to sit with his hands in his pockets, like he does every game. Its a crime how Thibs wont stand up for his players and get a T. Its also a crime that he didnt start Taj this game. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:02 PM) And thats 3 fouls on Taj. Will Thibs go insane and get a T as the refs just took out the Bulls best option? Or will he sit there and let the refs decimate the team? QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:09 PM) I dont even care if the bulls are getting the foul calls, sometimes as a coach you need to get riled up and go after the refs. You need to show your team that you will get thrown out if necessary to protect them. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 01:51 PM) Is thibs afraid of yelling at refs? QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) God damnit Thibs you gotta go after the refs if they just blatantly screw you there. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) Well unlike Thibs Id be thrown out of the game. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 02:29 PM) What are you talking about? You cant let the refs do this to your team. Thibs never gets Ted up, he never stands up for his players. Plenty of other coaches get t's. Ok, we get it -
Anyone with xbox might want to check out Trials Evolution in the xbl arcade. Trials HD was an amazing game and the sequel is even better.

I had never even heard of Goon but stumbled upon it last week and watched it and really liked it.

For the record I got my passport pictures taken at the post office, so you might want to check to see if they offer that at your post office.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Apr 29, 2012 -> 11:24 AM) When the Bears updated the roster on their website, they added a T next to Williams name that wasnt there before....im not sayin, im just sayin... Well it didnt say that during the first round of the draft....... and as I said numerous times Im not debating whether or not Williams is a tackle..........I was saying that guard isnt a glaring need as some other positions..........................Im not sayin..........................................................................................Im just saying.............................................................................................. ............................................................................................

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 08:22 AM) Well I'm glad you can admit this...otherwise, call me shocked that you're not employed by an NFL team with this kind of knowledge and foresight. I meant that Im not going to join the mob in slamming the pick because I personally dont know enough about the player to say whether I like it or hate it, not because I am claiming to be able to predict the future. But thanks for your contribution.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 01:43 AM) Well its a little stupid to spend the 19th overall pick on a backup when we have glaring holes elsewhere. If they want to take a risk on some small school prospect with no upper body strength in the 2nd round, and you've addressed bigger needs (Offensive Line) already it would be hard not to be OK with it. And Emery doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, that's not how this works. The Bears window, if it isn't closed already, is closing fast... frankly I'd fire the guy outright for pulling a move this stupid when there were clearly better players available. I know I'm in the minority on that, but already I'm sick and tired of Emery. Just because you think the Bears needed a guard more than a defensive end doesnt it make it the right assessment. I dont know enough about this kid to say if its a total bust of a pick yet but a pass rushing de/olb was absolutely one of the "glaring needs" you discussed. Also I dont know how you figure this kid is a backup already. He might not be the starter right away but they wouldnt have drafted him to be the backup and only play special teams. Idonije didnt have a great season last year and its not like Roach is setting the world on fire at OLB. Also, defensive lineman rotate a lot. Just because a guy isnt named the starter doesnt mean he wont get a good number of snaps.

Lovie will never give a straight answer. He also said this in that article If they have plans for him at LT then DeCastro would have been fine, I still dont see anything to make me think thats the case though. Tice is the one who decides the OL anyway.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 11:08 PM) I just replied to why anyone would want to draft Decastro, I didnt even want him lol (nor did I want Shea). Yes LT is more important than LG obviously but with CW being able to play either position well IMO that leaves the door open to take a LT or a LG...as my posts have said I would want the bears to take the best possible OL available next round, no matter where the guy plays As I stated before Im not here to argue whether CW is capable of playing LT or not. The fact is he isnt playing LT so Im not factoring that in as a possibility unless I hear it from Tice or the Bears. Also, Im not saying LG isnt an important position. My point was that a team wouldnt move a guy from LT in favor of a player who isnt as good, ever.
