  1. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) Nice cold beer for me Berry Burst Oreos for me.
  2. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 12:02 PM) Sad thing, if he is not that guy anymore, he is pretty much useless. Mmmmmmm, yeah probably. Too bad. I for one like him but he's become very maddening.
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) This one seems to hit better, just needs to put together his game on the basepaths. Or just quit trying to steal so much. He's not that guy any more.
  4. I love the Juan Pierre who stole 68 bases last year. Who is this impostor???
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 10:17 AM) He hasn't looked beaten to me until the last couple of days. He looks off mentally now. True. Talk about a guy needing some time off, he's it. Doesn't matter if he has owned Penny in the past. Right now you or I could probably get him out.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 09:14 AM) Glad to see Rios get the day off. Yeah and hopefully lots more too.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 06:23 AM) Alex Rios' rankings among 25 other every day CFs with the required plate appearances in these categories: BA: last OBP: last SLG%: last OPS: last wOBA: last WAR: last Yes, Alex Rios has easily been the worst CF in the game of baseball. Your eyes do not deceive you. He's terrible. But he is making $12 million bucks. Wow. That is flat out embarrassing! To be ranked dead last in every one of those categories. What does it take to get him out of the lineup? Who cares how much he's making. That the Sox have so much invested in the worthless bum shouldn't be the reason why he is the starting CF. It's unfortunate that Kenny made a mistake with Rios. But dump his sorry ass and move on. ANYONE else in CF should be an improvement. I don't care if it's Lastings Milledge. Rios is giving the White Sox NOTHING and unfortunately it's not a new situation but has been going on for quite awhile....enough already.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) As the board resident youngster. Holy s*** that made me feel old. As the board resident old f***, I could not relate hardly at all. Besides I'm beyond "feeling old". I AM old.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) Rios 11:$12M, 12:$12M, 13:$12.5M, 14:$12.5M, 15:$13.5M club option ($1M buyout) He's our Soriano. Only probably even worse. I'm in the I couldn't believe we didn't walk Cabrera intentionally corner too. I was very surprised. Well, not really...this is Ozzie we're talking about, but definitely disappointed. I pretty much knew if we're pitching to him, he's gonna beat us. However, as already mentioned, I was surprised we we're even in the game at all. I thought we'd be clobbered.
  10. I'd be mad about this game but I'm getting a bit numb to this crap. Rios sucks big time. Dunn, I just don't understand...I expected much better. AJ batting cleanup? Ugh. Let's just win tomorrow and at least win the f***ing series.
  11. Wow. I come back in from doing yard work and it's 2-2, not 8-0. Way to go Gordon and hang in there Edwin! I'm goin' back out.
  12. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) im turning this off, verlander already looks filthy Think I'll go do some more yard work....I should anyway.
  13. Well....Sox could be down by a lot more. Hopefully we get some offense tonight. LET'S GET SOME RUNS!!!!!
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 11:26 AM) Drive for 5 ..............Hope we do not get Verlandered! I'm thinkin' Verlander is gonna get Quentined!
  15. QUOTE (forrestg @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 08:45 AM) 51,904 wow what a crowd. Did they come to see the yankees or was it Dick Allen. Allen whenever he came to t the plate you better not be anyplace except in your seat eyes fixed on him. There was never a sox player that whose presense in the batter box could create so much hope and anticipation. If he didn't come through we didn't fault him. It was God's own will. You knew there was no one that you, a sox fan, would rather see in a clutch situation. 1972 was such a cool year. Dick Allen generated such excitement. People were coming back to the ballpark after all those miserable '68-'71 years.
  16. Man, I sure miss Sunday double-headers.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) Missed this one. Looks like we left a billion runners on. Still have to correct that. But I'll take the win. Make that 17-9 in their last 26 games. You knew this was coming. Can they sustain it? That's the question. And I don't mean play .700 baseball the rest of the way. But no more of these 3-4 week funks in which you can't tell the difference between them and the '03 Tigers. A shame you missed it. Your man Juan walloped a homer.
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) 2 years in the books for Beckham. Lifetime .230 hitter at home. C'mon, man! As much as I want to rag on you for being negative following a win, you are right. Dammit.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) I'm starting to like Juan Pierre, a lot ... I'm serious. I've always liked him, but not A LOT.
  20. Alright, now to put this in the win column.
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) PAY ATTENTION DUNN. LOL.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 07:46 PM) Quit giving him a hard time, he just got his first hit against a lefty this year! Yeah and only one strikeout tonight too.
