  2. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Sep 5, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) I have a feeling we're not going to score here. I'm really glad your feeling was wrong. WOOOOOO!!!
  3. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) You know, as great as the women that post here are, I really dont care if they have 100 times as many because Im not posting to look for a date. I totally only post here 'because I'm prowling for chicks. Not any luck so far
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2010 -> 12:53 PM) I assume this counts as the first game of the double header tomorrow. Right? The double header the White Sox are going to SWEEP that is to say.
  5. Off night for the Sox. My daughter won tickets to see the Seattle Storm and asked me if I wanted to go. So I'm goin'. I'll give warmest regards to Sue Bird from all of SoxTalk.
  6. Since I will soon be dethroned as Pick to Click champion could you please replace "Soxtalk's Pick To Click" with "Kung Fu Hustler". Don't ask why, I just like it. Thanks!

    Coach Tex

I had Newton for homeroom one year and I had him for gym once or twice. Nice guy but he was tough. My older brother was on the cross country team as a freshman and again as a sophomore. He and a guy named Jon Woods were like the number 1 and 2 runners on the team. My brother set several course records. He was really good. The summer between his sophomore and junior year my brother worked in my dad's drug store and missed a couple of summer practices. Newton kicked him off the team. He really demanded total dedication.
  8. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) He needs to learn some control first before I start doing back flips. Me, I'm already doin' back flips. This kid is impressive!
  9. Happy Birthday, Tex! Have a great day!!!
  10. I'm so confused. Shouldn't his last name be Corn? Just wonderin'. CONGRATS on bringing another White Sox fan into the world!!!
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) This is one of those things that makes me feel old. I was a teen when all of this was going on, but a lot of people on here weren't even born yet. Ugh. Don't feel bad. I used to go to games before there was a Dan Ryan. Ugh.
  12. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 12:34 PM) Let's carry this to its logical extreme, just as a mind exercise. I am absolutely not minimizing the horrors of the soon-to-be mentioned individual to the completely-trivial-in-comparison level of cheating or quitting in a sport-as-entertainment. I am absolutely not raising the cheating/quitting transgressions to any higher level than to use them as evidence of, or lack thereof, a certain moral fiber that I would like to see in the sporting events I choose to watch as entertainment. If Hitler could hit the ball like Babe Ruth, would you be in favor of him being the DH for the White Sox? For those who say they'd not, yet are in favor of Manny doing so, where is the line of differentiation? They didn't have the DH when Hitler played.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 12:03 PM) That's quite a stretch. It has to be untrue. No human being would do what that story alleges. Wrong. I worked in 5 star hotels for 20 years. Lots of human beings do such disgusting things.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 30, 2010 -> 10:06 AM) Well, I am actually somewhat of a Manny hater myself, and I hope he's not here next year. That said, I think he's definitely got the chance to be a big boost for the team this year, and I am willing to squelch my dislike of his antics for 5 weeks. I'm VERY much a Manny hater. However, just like I hated Albert Belle but welcomed him with open arms when he joined the Sox, I'll do the same with Manny. We can be very two-faced as sports fans. I HATED Dennis Rodman before he joined the Bulls but loved the guy when he was here and really learned to actually respect him. I don't think I could ever respect Manny but I could definately love his bat. At this point I'm totally undecided if I would want him around next year. One case where I hated a guy and still hated him when he came to Chicago (although his stay was thankfully very brief) was John Starks.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 10:33 AM) Terry Bevington in the house. Despite that.....GO WHITE SOX!!!
