  1. I CAN'T root for the NL, with the one and only exception being the Mets in '69. As much as I hate the Twins (and even more the Red Sox and Yankees) I've pulled for them before and will again. This year, probably just because of Thome I'd like to see the Twins win it all, besides a World Series win for the AL Central would be nice. I'm strictly an AL guy.
  2. Otto Mattik and the Bismarcks
  3. WOOOOOO!!! WOOO!! WOO! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!! WOOOOOOO! WOO!
  4. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 22, 2010 -> 09:11 AM) I hate this argument. Why does this count as a valid reason? EVERYONE HATES TO LOSE. Well, except for maybe the Cubs.
  5. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 12:55 PM) If I'm not mistaken, the "Sox Supporters" used to take their show on the road, too. Didn't they use to go to games in Milwaukee back in the day when the Brew Crew was in the American League? Yeah. I seem to recall that as well. I swear I remember the Sox Supporter drummer guy at some games in Milwaukee. I'd be so into this if I were still in the area but I'm in Washington. However, when the Sox play in Seattle.......
  6. I used to collect records (from the 50's-70's) but ended selling lots of them on eBay which was kinda cool because I had always wanted to own a record store and that was like having a record store. It was kind of neat knowing that my records were ending all over the world. Also used to collect sports cards now I just mostly have White Sox cards. I used to be pretty active playing basketball and softball but at 60 those days are gone. Having moved to Washington in July I spend a lot of time now roaming beaches on Puget Sound. Love to hike with my daughter and sometimes even the ex.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 12:37 PM) I had no idea what it was. And then it just turned out to be a crappy movie.
  8. I remember the Sox Supporters and sat near them on a few occasions. I thought it was great then and think it'd be great to bring the concept back. I am not one that would be annoyed by a drum in fact I think it's pretty cool. Beats the hell outta flashing "Make Some Noise" on the scoreboard. That's kinda like "Hey crowd, wake the f*** up!". I find it kind of insulting.
  9. Easy. The trailer for Psycho. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdxNmvXusM0...feature=related
  10. I dunno about this. Does LaRussa have a son named Opie?
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 18, 2010 -> 05:43 AM) If the Sox played .500 vs. Minnesota, they would be 1 game out right now. Wow. Just plain wow. What coulda been if only.....
  12. Alright, I hate the Twins. That said, I hope they win the f***ing World Series. I'm one of those idiots that always want the AL to win and I don't want the Yankees winning yet another. Another (rare) World Series win for the AL Central. Hate 'em all you want, they're good, way better than the White Sox...sad as that is.
  13. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Sep 15, 2010 -> 01:03 PM) I'll be watching. Much as they anger me and as ready as I am to throw in the towel, I still watch the games. Me too probably. Last night in the heat of anger I posted that I was done watching, but yeah, you know. Although tonight I'm going to an art walk....free wine and cheese!!!
  14. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 08:15 PM) hope sox salvage the next two at least. I do too. But you can bet I won't waste my time watching.

  16. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Sep 14, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) Horribly painful watching Twins celebrate in the dugout. I turned the f***ing game off when it was 6-3. I've tried to remain optimistic like most of us, or well...a lot of us. But, I'm not watching any more of this crap this year. Done. I'll still check the box scores but it pisses me off too much to watch.
