  1. Still holding out hope for 161-1 though. Sweep the f***ing Royals!!
  2. QUOTE (hometeamfan @ Apr 3, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) Ok....Ill just say it.....Ohman is not ready for the big leagues. Hes taking up a roster spot from someone that is. Not ready?? He's like an 8 or 9 year veteran. He's just not good. Surely there is a left-hander who can get left-handed bats OUT better than what we've seen from Ohman. And he should NEVER face a right-handed bat.
  3. I think I'm gonna go with that Adam Dunn guy.
  4. This isn't nearly as much fun now and I have I mentioned I don't think much of Ohman?
  5. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Apr 1, 2011 -> 02:58 PM) Lillibridge needs to stick to the outfield. Lillibridge needs to stick to Charlotte.
  6. Buehrle's half-innings are faster than the between innings commercial breaks.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 12:56 AM) I decided to foil the "curse" for April. 1920x1080 1600x1200 1680x1050 1440x900 1280x1024 1280x800 1024x768 1024x600 BigEdWalsh likes this.
  8. If the Sox get 12 wins in Spring Training....then they will go on to win the World Series.
  9. I thought your initial post was great, Tex. It's too bad if it was misunderstood by anyone. I don't think Tex was saying us older guys are smarter or better fans. He's just saying we suffered through some really bad seasons but had fun doing it simply for the love of the game and the love we have for the White Sox. Me personally, I had some of my best times going to games in 1970 when the Sox won a total of 56 games. I was at numerous games when the attendance was under 2,000. I was at a double-header when the attendance was 672! Suffering through those kind of years have made these recent years all that much sweeter. I can be negative at times. I'll come right out and say, I don't want Brent Lillibridge making the team. We can all have our favorite players and there will always be those guys that make us a groan a lot. There's a fine line between pissed off and being negative I suppose. I get pissed off each time the Sox lose, even in spring training, but I try not to be negative about the Sox.
  10. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 04:02 PM) I feel the exact opposite. I didn't even so much as crack a half-smile at AJ's commercial. Somebody need some happy pills?
  11. QUOTE (The Critic @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) I hated all six of those designs. I didn't even bother to vote for any of them - I actually preferred the collared shirts to any of those Astros-obsessed monstrosities. I was thrilled when they dropped that uniform, even if the new ones had the Campbell's Soup "C" on the cap. Haha. I pretty much hated all six designs too but I very much welcomed a new uniform. I loved the old style lettering on the late '70's uniforms but disliked the collared shirts, though they were unique. I've always liked uniform change. As much as I like the current uniforms I'd like a change, just for the sake of change. I'm just weird that way, probably not a popular opinion.
  12. Wow. I remember participating in the fan vote. I don't remember the one I voted for but I do remember it wasn't the uniform that ended up winning.
  13. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, BUtterfield 8, Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?....
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 10:59 AM) Legendary Blues Pianist Pinetop Perkins passed away at 97. How amazing is it that he was still performing at that age? Jeez!
  15. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 11:19 AM) Record stores (Vinyl)
  16. Maybe she thought of "it" as her purse.
  17. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-20045765-504083.html Wow.
  18. Growing up, I was often told by my parents that a parent loves their child no matter what. This, because I had a rather troublesome youth and caused my parents a lot of grief. But, NOTHING like this. It makes you wonder how the parents of someone who does something like this really feel. SO sad!
