  1. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 06:11 PM) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20130828 Micah Johnson finally gets credit for that homer in the suspended game. Hawkins started the game 0-2, and now 0-5. Now .176. Well, it's good that Hawkins is at least finishing the season strong.
  2. I'll settle for a one hit shutout.
  3. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 07:05 PM) If Ventura snoozes on Sale's pitch count, he could strike out 20 tonight. The Astros are terrible. I. Was. Thinking. The. Same. Thing.
  4. LOL. A walk and three hits: 1 run.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 05:40 PM) Sale going to need to throw a shut out with this line up What's new?
  6. For everyone saying how stupid it was that he could have hurt his hand, I'm sure he knows that. His emotions got to him and he lost it. It's obvious he wasn't thinking clearly, but I love the emotion. This is no big deal as long as it doesn't continue to happen which I don't think it will. It's fortunate that he didn't hurt his hand. Time to move on.
  7. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 10:19 PM) Alright, nice loss today boys. We are now 10 games back of 1st pick. Let's make a push!! 5 GB of 2nd pick! http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/reversestandings2014 And the f***ing Cubs are breathing down our neck.
  8. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 09:27 PM) Konerko's been poppig it up all night. Peter Pipper picked a peck of pickled poppers. If Peter Pepper pocked a pick of pippled pippers how many pockeled papers did Peter Pipper pock?
  9. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) Also, don't know if anyone noticed, but every affiliate won yesterday. Don't know if I've seen that before. I saw it once. I think it was like 1988 maybe.
  10. "According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Jordan Danks' go-ahead home run was the first time since June 5, 1955 that a player homered in support of his brother on the mound, when Kansas City catcher Billy Shantz homered for brother Bobby." I remember Bobby Shantz, never knew he had a brother in mlb.
  11. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20130825 .178 >178? Referring to the Hitting Machine otherwise known as Courtney Hawkins?
  12. QUOTE (lord chas @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 01:49 PM) He is serviceable but not a lock for next year. BTW anyone see that turd of a game Casper Wells put together last night? That was too bad for Casper after he retired the first two.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 12:10 PM) Lmao, Mark Parent tossed before the game started What happened??
  14. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:00 PM) DeMichele with a walk off grand slam. I wonder if we see him in AA next year?
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:33 PM) If they're going to win, that's a pretty sweet way You better know it. Frankly for the sake of the future I'd rather they were losing but on a game by game basis, I'm unable to root against them. I can't watch them and hope they lose, I just can't, though when they do lose, I'm fine with it. It's almost like schizophrenia or something. Anyway, this was a great game. On a night going up against Darvish, I figured this was an easy loss.
  16. AJ deserves a long standing ovation. He's my favorite Sox player ever though certainly not the best. But, Rios? Probably a smattering of polite applause and that's about it. He never got much more than that when he was here. He simply wasn't all that likeable or approachable, certainly not much of a fan favorite kinda guy.
  17. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) You are correct. What he is doing currently does not matter. Maybe someone should tell Tyler that. I'm sorry but that's a real stupid way of thinking. I know that you're alluding to the fact that it's not just about the stats but about development, but you can't just throw the stats out the window either. Tyler Danish's stats say a lot. Just as do Nick Parent's.
  18. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 10:44 PM) Fun fact, if you completely eliminate June and July(and only count April, May, and August), the Sox are only 1 game under .500. F***ing June and July.
