I guess the mlb all-star break is a good time to update my AAP. While Gallagher can't really be called a prospect any more, he is still in the minor league system (and has been since 2007) and he's still my AAP. I saw Gallagher play a few games with Great Falls in 2007 and thought he was pretty impressive, so made him my AAP. He came out of Duke and tore up Pioneer Lg. pitching (.332, .418 OBP). Gallagher has posted a .271 career minor league BA, which is solid. Primarily a right-fielder these days, he also plays LF, CF and 1B. This year at Charlotte, Jim is batting .264 in 69 games with a .345 OBP. He began this season hitting around .300 through May but has slumped pretty badly through June and so far in July.
