Sean Tracey Promoted; Cliff Politte to the DL
Greg The Bull Luzinski replied to Steve9347's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As I recall, the DL is the slow process that began several other pitchers removal from the team. See Jason Bere and Todd Richie, ineffective and place on the DL never to return. -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&a

Nothing against Uribe's wife, but I hope she is in labor for about 3 weeks and Juan has to stay with her. Viva la Cintron!!! -

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 05:13 PM) Cintron is starting at SS. Apparently Uribe's wife is giving birth. Uribe isn't even at the park. I hope the kid looks like Jose Contrares. -
Did Griffey say he didn't want to play for the White Sox last season?

Tigers and Sox can't both lose today. Sox have gotta win. -

Hope Politte is taking notes on how relief pitching SHOULD look. -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) Its an upset if Politte gets anybody out at this point. Any of the gas cans at Charlotte can be at least as good as him. I say give one of them a try. It would be tough to be much worse than Politte at this point. Which brings the question, what is Billy Koch doing these days? -

QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:17 PM) Politte needs mop up duty, I'm sorry but they need to send down McCarthy and let him be a starter, and then they need to bring in a righthanded reliever ... and everyone says go out and get one, there aren't many (or any) available at this point. Nor were there many this past offseason (if any). Therefore, that means you have to go with your best minor league guy for the next month or so, until such time as the trade market opens up a bit more. Even then, there still won't be much availble. Roberto Hernandez from the Pirates? Ummm, ok. He might be a tad better than Nelson. They have no other choice, notwithstanding all the trade scenarios floated on this board. They need to give someone a shot to step it up and perform. Whether that's Montero or Farnsworth, whatever. Somebody, anybody. I agree. There has to be somebody servicable in the minors that can be more than a warm body in the bullpen. -

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:14 PM) A legit arm to replace him with, something we don't exactly have at hand. I agree but I would take a serviceable reliever. I want somebody that doesn't have a 6.20 ERA and a .321 opposing BA. That can't be that hard to upgrade. -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) Really, how many more times does Ozzie need to put Politte in the game to get it through his head he shouldn't be pitching unless the game is out of hand one way or the other? Even in that case, do we really want the other team to get some free runs and catch up? Politte actually looked worse tonight than he has all year. And that says something. His control is gone. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) How long was Boone Logan on this team. Exactly. One game got Boone chased to Triple A. What does it take to chase Politte into his unconditional release. -

QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) Another tough outing for Politte. However, I look for him to bounce back next outing and return to last season's form for the remainder of this season. Get em next time Cliff! How many chances is this guy gonna get ... he looks worse than Damaso Marte did at the end of last year. He can't get a thing going. It should be a tie game if Dye doesn't make that catch. Boone>Politte -

The fact that Damaso Politte is in this game shows that Ozzie does not find winning this game important. -

QUOTE(jenksd @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) Don't worry, our batters will see a combined 7 pitches this inning. Uribe and Anderson are pinch hitting?
