  1. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:20 PM) Another melon pitch. Scouts must realize that we have no idea of what a strike is. Scouting the White Sox hitters right now is easy. The can't hit a good pitch and swing at the s***ty pitch.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) Why is it that so many of our hitters have their front leg stay still, and their back leg moves towards the pull side. Uribe does it, and now I see Dye doing it a lot. Greg Walker school of Pulling ... I mean hitting.
  3. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:16 PM) Take one for the team, JD. You telling JD to go home with the fat and ugly chick?
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) I can almost guarantee that JD strikes out looking on an inside pitch. He'll lift his hands and slide his legs backwards and look at the ump in disbelief. He looks like post-2000 Frank Thomas doing that.
  5. Time for Dye to seizure out of the way of every inside pitch and pretend it is not a strike to compensate for the fact that he can not get around on an inside pitch anymore.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:11 PM) We need a clutch walk right here. A three run walk?
  7. Despite the lover for Grinders like Eckstein, we seem to be stuck with all or nothing Juan.
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:04 PM) No, an overhauling of the team would be "what the doctor ordered." It will start in November.
  9. QUOTE(premo @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 10:03 PM) My prediction for the 9th: Owens hits a 6-run homer to win it, and he becomes a hero in Chicago That's assuming Citron does not make all three outs in one at-bat.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) They have shuffled the lineup. They wont fire the instructor. So pretty much we will suffer. ... and their is zero chance the instructor gets fired this year. (unfortunately)
  11. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:52 PM) I'm still more upset with Dye at the plate tonight than I am Uribe. If Dye hit, he wouldn't have to hope for the guys that we don't expect to hit to get a hit. Dye looks like a fool on inside pitches.
  12. I hate seeing Uribe up with the game on the line. Everybody in the park knows where he is trying to hit it. Yet I do not think he has ever been successful in this situation.
  13. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:44 PM) How will Rob mess up this situation? A) Strike Out B) Pop up to the shortstop C) Double Play D) Foul out B) or B
  14. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:41 PM) Dye has really been letting this team down so far this season. Dye seems to have a good season about 1 out of every three season. Between the other two is an average and an awful season. Guess what type of season Dye is due for?
  15. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:39 PM) Ryan Braun now 14 for 45, 3 HR, 8 RBI, .311 AVG There's a real 3B prospect. The Brewers might be the most talented young team in baseball, position prospect wise...along w/ the D-Rays, D-Backs, Angels and a couple of others. Hopefully the Brewers will string together several NL Central titles and the Cubs will be getting it handed to them by their own version of the Twins.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:35 PM) Well Day at least is throwing strikes. But are the Yanks really trying, because everybody knows they have basically won this game.
  17. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:32 PM) Fields will probably start out OK, but like Sweeney and Owens, once Walker gets a chance to "work" with him, he'll go into the tank. Coach Walker "Just remember, Pull everything."
  18. Hearing all of these failed prospects is making me more pissed than the game itself.
  19. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 07:47 PM) Gavin Floyd is a bust. The only person in the last year to disagree with that statement is Kenny Williams.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) Greg Walker lol ... but it was a solid .247 HE only played 99 games that year. Was that the year he had that seizure during batting practice?
  21. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) Another ex-Royals' reliever bites the dust. Where's Wedge with the Darth Vader mpg? That was gold.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:07 PM) Wow, the game isn't even over yet and we've already got a negative thread. After blowing up this team, blow up SoxTalk too. Too many Negative Nancies.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:09 PM) All I know is the Brewers better hold on to their lead. BrewersTalk.com Just pretend they are the White Sox in different uniforms.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:04 PM) You guys think Hawk is bad, all I've heard from Farmer the last few weeks is: "once these guys start hitting, they might not stop" Farmer makes me want to puncture my eardrums with ice picks.
  25. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:04 PM) It's a fair question. They are 30th in a 30 team, 2 league setup as is the bullpen, so just as bad. And the bullpen was actually decent at one point this year. The offense has sucked for over a year. So again Kenny, was isn't the offense embarrassing you?
