  1. Time for Uribe to lead off next inning with a three run homer. :uhoh
  2. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:15 PM) Another magical turn by our pathetic double play tandem. I don't want to see either of those guys back next year. But Uribe is one of the best defensive shortstops in the league.
  3. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:12 PM) great game so far by JG ... and he has just as many hits as many of our position players.
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) I just, don't even care any more at this point. I have almost nothing left to give for this team. It's so draining. So take a break from watching the White Sox and collect stamps for a while or something.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:06 PM) Come on Thome! He's lacking something since he returned. Hitting? People on base for him? Homeruns? Matza Ball Soup?
  6. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:03 PM) Has anyone mentioned how much DJ loves Terrero? Whenever Terrero plays, DJ is always going nuts about him. I'd love to see an argument between Hawk and DJ over the ability of Erstad vs Terrero. I love it when Hawk and DJ argue.
  7. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) Nice nab from Terrero. But can he get a hit today? There is a better chance of the ball hitting him than him hitting the ball.
  8. QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 03:58 PM) announcers are bashin the sox O...i love it Not like Sox announcers have the motivation to do it. Its kind of refreshing.
  9. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 03:57 PM) I think they need to do this for PR and fringe season ticket holders like myself that are wondering if this franchise is worth investing in. Assuming we do not do well this year in addition to letting player walk with free agency would seem to equate a dramatic drop in season ticket purchases in addition to individual game tickets. In business, you need to reassure the investors that they are getting their moneys worth. I would agree that PR work needs to be done and to a certain extent we may even call it "damage control".
  10. That's White Sox baseball!!! How many more days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training 2008?
  11. Upon further review, I keep Aardsma. I just don't have a ton of faith in a 30 year old with control problems and a history of injuries. He could still straighten out, but what are the odds based on the fact they he has not gotten it together by this point?
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 01:50 PM) Why? Wny not?
  13. Hate to say I told you so about Freddy, but "I told you so". He is done. But he will still be Cy Garcia against the Sox next week.
  14. KW should take the first good offer for McDougal and any other vets.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 9, 2007 -> 12:56 PM) Anyone else get the stupid grinder road trip crap, where you can sign up for a bus road trip to Kaufmann. They have enough problems getting people to see KC versus the sox here, why the hell would people get on a bus. Oh you get a tee shirt and hat though that have grinder road trip. I am glad to see the Sox are starting on the Team Roadtrip bandwagon. Other teams have been doing this for year. If it wasn't for the fact that I have family in Missouri and KC is remodeling there stadium in a few years, I might be interested. The revamped Kauffman looks pretty sweet. On a related note, am I the only one that hates riding on buses in my old age? I get more sea sick than being on a boat.
  16. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 07:59 PM) Where are the chat room folks? In hiding until this alleged ball club starts playing well.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 07:56 PM) Lance Cormier is the worst pitcher I've seen in the majors this year. Fathom, I hope you are not giving Kenny Williams any ideas if this Cormier fellow throws hard.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) Soriano has 3 homers thru 4 innings. What is the White Sox bullpen doing in Atlanta?
  19. Iguchi, Thome and Konerko are starting to hit a little. The problem is somebody has to hit 5,6,7,8,9, and even 1. ... and we thought we had a problem with automatic outs in the 8 and 9 spots last year. I suddenly miss those Brian Anderson days.
  20. Runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs and none score. Nothing new, YAWN.
  21. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 06:11 PM) Can I get me a Mark Buehrle for 35 cents? Maybe Podsednik's wife for a nickel? Podsednik's wife for a nickel? She is in near mint condition, with Mr. Scott's groin problems of the last 2 years. She slips a little in first, ... no wait, that is Scott. Could I interest you in Dye for a Dollar? Get the whole outfield for two bucks!
  22. I remember back in the day (2005) when an Astros-White Sox game meant something. Now they are just two teams that aren't making the playoffs and may be fortunate to finish above .500.
