  1. Great AB from Thome. His helmet is in mid-season form too.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:00 PM) If they really want to, they'll be able to get in 5. It'll be interesting to see how hard they try. With Mark pitching they should be able to get thru 7.
  3. wow hafner and maritnez don't make it out of the infield. Mark is looking good.
  4. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 07:10 PM) I'm glad someone agrees with me on this. They're going to get a very nasty letter form me. Better than Gammons talking about the Yanks.
  5. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) That banner revealing was one of the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. I literally had goose bumps. Me too, that was an awesome sight.
  6. Buehrle is one of the cornerstones of the Sox franchise, and he needs to stay here his entire career. A contract extension for him should be in the near future.
  7. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 02:27 AM) really pisses me off to miss so many games while I'm at school then in the summer when I have the time during the day, all the games are at night Education is over-rated. Just claim you came down with Soxitis and bring a note in the next day.
  8. QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 01:13 PM) speaking of aaron rowand, jim thome just homered again 8 HRs in the last 6 games/7 days! He is on fire!
  9. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) or ken griffrey lol or Chavez or Tejada

  11. Every starting positional player and starting pitcher now signed through 2007 with at least a team option. Buehrle - 2007 Team Option Garcia - thru 2007 Contreras - thru 2009 Garland - thru 2008 Vazquez - thru 2007 Pierzynski - thru 2008 Konerko - thru 2010 Iguchi - 2007 Team Option Uribe - 2008 Team Option Crede - ARB thru 2008 Dye - 2007 Team Option Anderson - ARB thru 2011 Podsednik - ARB thru 2008 Thome - 2009 Team Option Cotts - ARB thru 2009 Jenks - ARB thru 2011 McCarthy - ARB thru 2011 Mackowiak - 2008 Team Option Ozuna - ARB thru 2010 FAs - Politte - after 2006 Widger - after 2006
  12. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 12:37 PM) The Total package if any one should be labeled is the kid from Seattle. Didn't BA hit two dingers off of him in one game last year?
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 12:26 PM) I wonder what this means for McCarthy, we have 5 more established starters signed through '07. I guess it depends on the "No-Trade" clauses in the Top 5 starters contracts. I would think they would trade one of them before trading McCarthy.
  14. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 12:22 PM) I think WhiteSox.com would know more than ESPN.com. My guess is that ESPN just heard it on the Score, so put it up there. We'll see though. Nope, its there on WhiteSox.com. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws Holy crap!
  15. QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 12:18 PM) I haven't found anything anywhere, so my suspicions are rising. Seems like really odd timing, unless it was for a sign and trade deal for Pujols.
  16. Same contract as Garland? I thought they he wanted more than that before they broke off negotiations. If it is true, that is a bargain.
  17. From weather.com: Wind will be blowing in all night.
  18. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 07:24 AM) Well, Frank is 1 for 7 with a homer and 4 k's on the spring. So much for him being in mid-season form. Besides, for Frank to be in mid-season form, he would need a boot on his left foot. Wasn't he supposed to be an Offensive Nirvana for the A's?
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 08:56 AM) I'm glad Gooch ended up back in the 2 spot. It is amazing how moving him back in that slot has improved his hitting. It probably helps that Thome is batting after him.
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 1, 2006 -> 07:15 AM) Man, whoever came up with this needs to be shot. Hmmmm .... That might should apply to RME for posting it here. I thought it would be allowable for April 1st only. SouthSide Sox and Bleed Cubbie Blue switched site designs for the day as well. Don't shoot the messenger.
