No worries for Podsednik
http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws I hope Pods gets back into the lineup today, and I guess we will not see JD for the entire KC series.

Sox vs. Kansas City, 4/08/06, Vazquez vs. Bautista
I hope Vazquez pitches strong. We need a great outing from our starting pitching.

Backup Outfielders and now Relievers
I would bring Sweeney or Owens up and give them a shot, especially if Pods is going to be out for awhile.

Blow this team up!
KC won a few games vs the Sox last year. You can't win them all. It is only April 8th. Now if we lose today I might be saying that.

Sox v. Kansas City, 4/7/06, Garland v. Affeldt
KC is just what the doctor ordered. The Sox need to put together a few wins.

Indians pitching impressive last two days
With Sabathia in question, Lee and Westbrook are their only reliable pitchers, and even they are not dominant. That Johnson ERA away from Comerica is scary.
-
Holy crap!
They have played 2 games vs KC and versus Texas they hit 6 HRs off knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. The Tigers are going to be better this year, probably 3rd in the Central, but I don't see them moving ahead of the Sox or Indians.

Indians pitching impressive last two days
I think it is way too early to make any predictions or comparisons. 3 games in early April? You could maybe do this in early May, but not now. Sabathia didn't look that impressive and he is their #1. I thought the Sox hitters had a lot to do with the Indians pitching success.

Sox vs. Indians: 4/4 Game Thread
QUOTE(GoTribe @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) Indians really look great today.. Playing to their FULL Potential. Jake Westbrook sinker looked to be doing wonders on the Sox... Thome looks solid at the plate. If Indians finish this out, looks like a good one tomorrow. BYRD-CONTRERAS??? or LEE-CONTRERAS? 14 LOB, the Indians should have about 15 runs with all those guys on base. Westbrook and Boone were the only two that played well.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 02:59 PM) Balta....remember when I said that PK is going to hit into a ton of double plays this year? Does anyone know what the record is for a season? And the only reason I ask this is because I think Thome is awesome, and will be on base at a terrific rate. Jim Rice - 36 - 1984 http://www.baseball-almanac.com/hitting/higidp2.shtml
