    Poor Sean Preston....

More legit source. No details like the previous one, but where there's smoke.... http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12271806/ Child welfare officials visit Britney’s home Sheriff's deputy also at Malibu estate, agency won’t give reason Danny Moloshok / AP In February, the Department of Children and Family Services visited the Britney Spears' home after publication of photographs showing Spears driving with her then-4-month-old in her lap. Updated: 5:18 p.m. ET April 11, 2006 MALIBU, Calif. - A sheriff's deputy joined child welfare officials during a weekend visit to the Malibu estate of pop singer Britney Spears, authorities said Tuesday. There were no details about a possible investigation. Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services officials asked the Lost Hills sheriff's station at about 1 p.m. Saturday for a deputy to accompany them to the Spears home, Lt. Debra Glaskides said. "It's a very standard, routine patrol request," the lieutenant said. "We just roll out with them. We stood by, we took no action, no report or anything." The Sheriff's Department said it was a DCFS matter and it couldn't release any information. The lieutenant said there may not even be a DCFS investigation, noting it may have been only a welfare check. Louise Grasmehr, director of the Department of Children and Family Services, didn't return a telephone message left at her Los Angeles office. The department routinely refuses to discuss cases, citing confidentiality laws. Telephone and e-mail messages left for Spears' New York publicist Leslie Sloan weren't returned. In February, the Department of Children and Family Services visited the Spears home after publication of photographs showing Spears driving with her then-4-month-old son Sean Preston in her lap, rather than in a car seat as required by law. The 24-year-old pop star later apologized, saying she did it because of a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi." The incident even caught the attention of U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta, who chided Spears during a Feb. 13 Philadelphia event marking Child Passenger Safety Week. "Recent photos of Britney Spears driving with her infant son on her lap are troubling. And while Ms. Spears has acknowledged her mistake, her actions still send the wrong message to millions of her fans," Mineta said.

  9. From Star Magazine's April 24 issue: On April 7, when Britney Spears and Kevin Federline realized that their baby, Sean Preston, had been sleeping more than usual, panic bells went off. Just six days earlier, the 7-month-old had taken a major fall from his high chair, a tumble that had his parents worried that he might have been critically injured. They had every right to fret. After rushing Sean to a nearby hospital, they discovered he had a minor skull fracture (sometimes called a "scalp fracture" in babies), and a blood clot. And the doctors weren't the only ones to take notice! The next day, the Department of Children and Family Services began looking into the incident. THE FALLOUT The Spears-Federline clan escaped disaster, but not their obligation to explain themselves to the authorities. On April 8, L.A. sheriff's deputies arrived at Britney's Malibu home to investigate a child-abuse claim against Britney and Kevin in relation to the head injury. Such an investigation isn't unusual. According to California law, whenever a baby is brought into the hospital with a serious injury, the Department of Children and Family Services is alerted. http://www.starmagazine.com/news/61975

  11. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) Of course, Ozzie brought us a championship and Frank didn't. Big difference. Ozzie also didn't get into a childish war of words through the media with Ron Schueler after he left. Nor did he throw several fits about his contract through the media during the last six years of his tenure. The players on the field won the games. Not Ozzie. Even he isn't so stupid as to not give them the credit they deserve. And you might want to do a little brushing up on the History of Oz... He had plenty of spats with management, and memorable hissy fits with fans.

  14. http://articles.news.aol.com/news/article....S00010000000001 In Attics and Rubble, More Bodies and Questions By SHAILA DEWAN, The New York Times NEW ORLEANS (April 11) - When August Blanchard returned to New Orleans from Pennsylvania in late December, his mother was still missing. Family members, scattered across the country, had been calling hospitals, the Red Cross and missing persons hot lines, hoping she had been rescued. But Mr. Blanchard, 26, had a bad feeling. Twice, he drove past the pale green house on Reynes Street in the Lower Ninth Ward, where he and his mother, Charlene Blanchard, 45, had lived, yet he could not bring himself to enter. It was not until Feb. 25 that one of Mr. Blanchard's uncles nudged the front door open with his foot and spied Ms. Blanchard's hand. Dressed in her nightgown and robe, she lay under a moldering sofa. With her was a red velvet bedspread that her daughter had given her and a huge teddy bear. The bodies of storm victims are still being discovered in New Orleans — in March alone there were nine, along with one skull. Skeletonized or half-eaten by animals, with leathery, hardened skin or missing limbs, the bodies are lodged in piles of rubble, dangling from rafters or lying face down, arms outstretched on parlor floors. Many of them, like Ms. Blanchard, were overlooked in initial searches. A landlord in the Lakeview section put a "for sale" sign outside a house, unaware that his tenant's body was in the attic. Two weeks ago, searchers in the Lower Ninth Ward found a girl, believed to be about 6, wearing a blue backpack. Nearby, they found part of a man who the authorities believe might have been trying to save her. Much more at link..

  16. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) Why anybody would spend that much time putting together an anti-Hawk web site is beyond me. And they have freaking message boards?! What a bunch of douche bags... Maybe the same reason people put together sites for things they like.... Like say... a Sox website for Sox fans. :rolly
  17. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 11:34 AM) My first look at how evil a woman can be was when I was 17 years old. I worked with a girl who had told me her boyfriend dumped her. I think he cheated on her or something... I guess they fought over it for like a week or so. Anyway, she told him she was pregnant and needed money for an abortion. I guess he said no at first, but she said she would go to the cops and say she was raped. She told me he was either gonna pay with his wallet or his ass. So he gave her the 300.00 she asked for. She brought it in to work one day and was like I got paid!! She did that just to take money from him cause he broke up with her. I was like that is just plain f***in wrong. I guess I was a bit naive at that time or too trusting in people, but a girl doing that kind of thing never even crossed my mind. I never imagined a girl could just make something like that up. For the record, I haven't come across very many 'evil' women out there capable of something like that. But they are around. Oh.. they come in all sizes and shapes. I know someone who did this also. I also know one sweetheart that ran herself into a wall, ran screaming out of her boyfriends house for all the neighbors to see - and call the cops, and put the guy in jail. Thankfully she ran her mouth also and the charges were dropped against him, and made against her.

  21. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 09:50 AM) I heard the entire front section is auction only and the low bid is $700.00. I just heard lower level tickets were $350. They didn't specify front row. Now that I'm thinking about it.. it's likely the back row in the corner behind a pole that's only $350.
