  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 04:09 PM) You made me look bad too by doing that. I didn't even read what steve said, just saw what you said. Follower..
  2. LMAO.. here we go. Love it. Douchebag says......
  3. Thanks Kap.. Questions, even if they don't "inc" but have insurance they wouldn't be held liable, no? I do think they need insurance in case something should happen (theft or damage while they have keys, etc..). Any other pros to "inc" ing? The liability quotes they are getting are between $700 and $1200 for the year. Seems high to me but I have no idea. How do they get a business licence? With the county or the state?
  4. My sister and her girlfriend are talking about starting a new construction cleaning business (clean the houses after construction, but before the owners final walk). I guess the market is pretty good ($0.25 per square foot) and the start up cost is relatively low. She was asking me about business licenses, insurance, etc.. and I have no idea. And quick advice I can pass along?

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 10:37 AM) My all-time favorite Vince Vaughn character is in the film "Made" with Jon Favreau(who also directed it). Vince Vaughns character is just someone who you simultaneously want to laugh at and just strangle. He is just an outright idiot. And Favreau's character is funny because he keeps getting dragged into Vince Vaughns problems because they are best friends. Funny movie. I liked him in that drama/thriller where he played the step dad to John Travlota's son.

    QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 10:08 AM) Jeremy Grey: Why don't you try getting jacked off under the table in front of the whole damn family and have some real problems, jackass. Hey, what were they like anyway? They looked pretty good, are they real? Are they built for speed or comfort? What'd you do with them? Motorboat? You play the motorboat? [makes sputtering motorboat noise] You motorboatin son of a b****! You old sailor you! Where is she? She still in the house? That's pretty much the funniest thing I've heard in a movie in quite a while. I love Vince. Maybe it's just seeing him do it. He's gross to me.

    And I watched Taking Lives again. I really enjoy the twists, and was greatly impressed with Hawk's performance.

    QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 09:50 AM) Thats because you don't have a sense of humor. I pretty much agree, the only laugh out loud part of that movie is the dinner table scene, and I guess the backyard football game. But like most comedies I always laugh more when I see them at the theatre. The whole contagious laughing thing, etc. I laughed more at Owen and the others then I did at Vince - who I was told repeatedly "stole the movie". Gloria throwing a fit at the reception (holding her breath stomping) had me laughing the most. The motorboat thing was just strange.

    Finally watched Wedding Crashers Saturday... so not as funny as everyone told me. Vince is weird.
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) So wait, since I wear North Face, I'm a douchebag. Wow, great logic there. Oh gosh no. You're a douchebag for so many other reasons.

  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 25, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) Sometimes, yes. Steve has some certain qualities that annoy me to no end, but he's still my lover. Ewwwuuu... :puke
  14. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 05:03 PM) comparing public to private is like apples to oranges. But it's one of the top public schools in the country, so as an in-state tuition option, it's hard to beat. I totally agree and it's a great school... It's just my opinion that the academic goals of students at NW are not even in the same league as the academic goals of those at U of I. So not even so much a comparison of the schools themselves as much as the comparison of the students.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 04:57 PM) Are you really serious? NU is the 12th ranked national university by US News. I wouldnt say U of I is comparable academically. ^
  16. QUOTE(WCSox @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) U of I is beginning to rival Northwestern in academics. They wish.
  17. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:34 PM) By the time I'm drunk I'm usually ON the bar!!!!!! Ditto!!!
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:05 PM) I had a friend who lived in Texas, and he said a DUI is almost a rite of passage to kids down there. TIFWIW, I didnt say it. Hey now.. if it's good enough for GDub... it's good enough for everyone.
  19. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Now you have me interested, gimme like 5 minutes Ill see if I can figure out what statute they are using. LOL.
  20. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) Im not exactly sure Steff. Judging from the wording of the article, it seems that they are trying to use some specific Cali Statute about unfair competition. Without knowing what that statute says or makes legal/illegal, its hard to tell what angle they are going for. Im sure that they have something up their sleeve though, probably had some one read the entire book and figure out what they can attack. Two parts to the suit perhaps? Or the claim that illegal means of obtaining info can not be profited from?
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) Yes ma'am, that is correct. Does this fall under 1st amendment protection and if not, why isn't the g'ment raising hell? Who leaked the info? Who gave them the info?
  22. Didn't read the filing, but isn't the suit because they got ahold of and used sealed GJ testimony..?
  23. http://www.prnewswire.com/cgi-bin/stories....04265284&EDATE= James Carville and Luke Russert to Host New Sports Talk Show Exclusively for XM Satellite Radio XM is transforming radio, an industry that has seen little technological change since FM, almost 40 years ago. XM's programming features 100 coast-to-coast digital channels: 71 music channels, more than 30 of them commercial-free, from hip hop to opera, classical to country, bluegrass to blues; and 29 channels of sports, talk, children's and entertainment. For the first time on radio XM brings to the car the same diverse selection of news sources available in the home on cable and DIRECTV. (PRNewsFoto) WASHINGTON, DC USA 10/28/2004 WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: XMSR), the nation's leading satellite radio service with more than six million subscribers, announced today it will launch a new sports-themed talk show hosted by Democratic political strategist, commentator and passionate sports fan James Carville. Known for his animated and colorful debate style, the outspoken Carville will co-host the program with Luke Russert, his regular off-air sparring partner for all things sports and son of Carville's frequent interrogator, NBC journalist Tim Russert. (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20000724/XMSATLOGO ) "This show will be another opportunity for me to engage in the back-and- forth debates on sports that, until now, Luke and I have limited to the stadium," said James Carville. "I talk about sports the same way I talk about politics, so it's safe to assume that Luke will be wrong most of the time." The concept for the program was born from the heated exchanges between Carville and Russert during various Washington Nationals home games. This new show will feature the two discussing the top sports stories of the week with the same sense of humor and camaraderie experienced at the ballpark or at home. Scheduled to debut in March 2006, the hour-long show will air weekly on XM Satellite Radio. Additional program details will be announced prior to the show's debut. "James and Luke's amazing chemistry and energy will entertain XM's millions of listeners, even those that don't count themselves as die-hard sports fans," said Eric Logan, executive vice president of programming for XM Satellite Radio. "As the leader in sports programming on satellite radio, we welcome James and Luke to the XM family and are proud to add them to the growing list of renowned commentators, journalists, coaches and athletes who contribute to XM's unprecedented offering of sports content." James Carville is a political commentator for CNN and noted Democratic political strategist who emerged onto the national political scene after his consulting firm, Carville & Begala, helped elect President Bill Clinton in 1992. For his work on the Clinton campaign, the American Association of Political Consultants named him Campaign Manager of the Year in 1993. He went on to serve as a senior political adviser to the president. Often referred to as the "Ragin' Cajun" for his spirited debating style, Carville began managing political campaigns in 1982. Before entering politics, he worked as a litigator at a Baton Rouge, La., law firm, and also had brief stints in the U.S. Marines and as a high school teacher. Luke Russert is currently a sophomore at Boston College. An avid sports fan, by the time he was 16, he had attended two Super Bowls, a World Series, five Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Games, an NBA final, four NBA All- Star Games, two NCAA Final Fours, an NHL Stanley Cup Final, a U.S. Open and The Preakness Stakes. A graduate of St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., where he played football and baseball, Russert worked for the highly-rated ESPN program "Pardon the Interruption" during the summer of 2005.
