  1. He didn't learn his lesson from his arrests prior to attacking Gamboa..... why do you think he'd learn anything from this? Gimme a break. He'll be back in jail before the ink dries on his court paperwork. Not to mention, his son was already on probation BEFORE the Comiskey attack for domestic battery..... TO HIS MOTHER! Once a scumbag..... ALWAYS a scumbag Well I guess killa because I am the type of person to give the benifit of the doubt and give others another chance. I have my opinion, and you have yours.
  2. In this case, if Gamboa had pressed the issue, I'm sure it would be more than probation. He didn't/isn't. Every case is different, but there is a guideline (as sad as it may be) to follow. And critic.. I wasn't calling you "perfect". It was a specific comment to clujer.
  3. I didnt lose my temper either. And Im just gonna ignore it. People who go behind others backs are weak. Real men say their feelings to the persons face. Cowards go behind the scenes... Is it hurting you? Why let them bother you? They are obviously social retards who need to up their "value" by talking about you. Take it as a compliment and ignore them. You confront them or make a scene it looks like you have an issue. Let it go. It's not worth it to waste your time. Ahhh.. high school. How I miss those days..

If you put your personal issues aside.. you can not deny that there are a LOT of knowledgable posters on WSI.
  5. How about top of the 2nd? I like to see the first inning from my seats. Kind of a ritual.. Yep.. I'm a dork
  6. And no, I'm not kidding about 30 days for assult. When right now the punishment for "simple assult" is PROBATION in EVERY state in the US. The only way it's more - and even that is a crap shoot unless the defendent has a prior violence conviction - is if it's assult with a weapon.
  7. He's probably clean now because he knows he's still not out of the frying pan. In 2 years when everyone's forgotten about this idiot, we'll see if he's still clean. 10 years. *still not laughing* Well.. I guess I can't argue with that logic Mr. Perfect and never have done anything wrong, and refuse to ever give anyone the benefit of the doubt or a second chance, especially if they are disgusting scum sucking tattoo'd, cigarette smoking, beer drinking, second class lowlifes. I'm done with this with you. I refuse to argue with someone so "perfect". Have a wonderful day clujer.
  8. I will be there tomorrow and Friday. Same place, section 162, sitting with Huge. I have been to 5 games so far. Zach.. let's meet up at the fan deck tomorrow. Jim is freaking out because I keep talking about all you guys and since he was in California for opening day he's out of the loop..
  9. clujer... TEN YEARS..?? Go on... repeat it outloud and hear how silly it sounds. I agree that they should be made an example of and prosecuted. But I do think the proposed 30 day stay is enough. And southsider.. I don't feel the least bit sorry for him. But I feel that he is making an effort to right his life. By the way, he's been clean for 7 months.
  10. Oh good grief.. Please, PLEASE tell me you are kidding.!! Next you'll be telling us that "Rocky" was really the heavyweight champ... oy vey!
  11. I'm sure the comments will flow after this post.. Go ahead, lash out at me. I can take it.. But... The guy made a mistake. He, unlike the newest douchebag idiots, apologized several times. He did not use his life misfortunes (his sister did) to excuse the incident. He called himself an idiot, etc, etc.. Has been in a program and has stayed clean (which in itself is a huge accomplishment). He's going to get community service and probation (thanks to Gamboa). Is it enough.. imo, no, but it is what it is. Hopefully the guy stays clean and uses this incident to right the wrong path he was obviously on. People make mistakes (see the "stupidest thing you've ever done thread" ). That's all. Now I'm assuming we're talking about the f***ers who attacked the Royals' first base coach last season -- right? Anyway, I'll weigh in on that... The two should be in prison. Two men assaulting an innocent man who had his backed turned -- not many things are more cowardly than that. I say 10 years each -- NO parole. And oversleeping an missing a Sox game on TV is a "mistake" -- blindsiding and attacking another human being is a choice -- and a very poor one at that. 10 years no parole. You're funny clujer.
  12. I hope it's Mark. I'm really not liking seeing him struggle (and that might be the wrong word...). It's like he's up there with something on the brain. I've heard him say many times when he's on the mound he doesn't even think about pitching. He reads the signs and throws. Lately he just looks like he's thinking about something. HSC.. any insite on this one? And it's not consistant during the game either. It's like a split second - which as we all know can cost us the game. In my gut I think it'll be tonight. Colon likes to win. He is as intense as I've seen a pitcher in a long time. He was not happy with his performance in Baltimore.. I think we'll see him on fire tonight. So maybe I'll get my wish and both of them will win!

  14. Ehem.. I was there. Now I'm a "nobody".. Sorry, Steff....everybody is somebody, and everybody is special in their own way! ...I think you know what my point was in that post...sometimes you gotta exaggerate to get the point across. LOL.. I know. I was just trying to lighten the thread. I tell ya... it was cold as ice that night, too. We couldn't stand but an inning and a half before we ran to the club. Took about 15 minutes to defrost. And of course the loss sucked. Hopefully they can get back on track here. This is going to be a VERY tough series against Oakland. I'm only expecting us to take 1.
  15. I did notice the thread name.. but I didn't want to embarass anyone. I'll be sitting by you tonight HSC. I'll email you with the seat location. We're just behind the visitors dugout I think. way cool steff.... but dont email me i wont have time to check it today after i leave in a few minutes.. busy day today at work and i dont have time to play on the computer.....give me a call on my cell tonite and ill hook up with ya.............ok.............. LOL.. I did just email you. But I was wrong, we're in 142 tonight not 122. We'll have a little one with us to. The "big boys" will have to behave :-) See ya there!

  17. I'll be there the rest of the week.
  18. Ehem.. I was there. Now I'm a "nobody"..
  19. I agree.. I will be very dissapointed as well.
  20. Its voodoo, with 100 percent certainty. Trust me. Well.. I'll know for sure after tonight. K, but i already know for sure. So what happened? Nothing.. Brando was a no show.
  21. Wow

Last year PK went public against Thomas and we had a whole clubhouse nightmare. I dont want that to happen this year... No.. it wasn't a clubhouse nightmare. It was a MEDIA nightmare. HUGE difference. Frank and Paul were NEVER on the outs.
  22. LDF.. how dare you make a point??
  23. I have never specifically asked. And I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. The "meeting" information was offered to me in response to "are things any better for Jerry with the dictator"?
  24. SOX

Steff replied to Soxfest's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well hey, what are we arguing? I mean, steff knows everything! What the heck? Chill out a little, will ya? Christ. No need to flip out like that... Nope.. Steff knows FAR from everything. As a matter of fact.. I bet I barely know anything about what goes on behind those doors. Which is exactly why I feel confident in saying you are incorrect in your OPINIONS of what is going on. Why exactly am I incorrect? Do you seriously believe that JM makes any attempt to motivate this team? I sure dont! And even if were a bit unsure of his motivational skills, we can still see hes an idiot due to some of his pitching moves. And not to mention all of his darn tinkering! Ya know what Roman.. I'm done. As someone who's spent a lot of time around this team, you're right. I don't know s*** about anything and of course the people I know are lying to me. JM sucks and he should be fired. There. Done. Over. Bubye.
  25. i am not siding with anyone, but steff, have you heard of kw still calling the shots during the game as he was last yr. Yes LDF I have heard of that as well as "meetings" before EVERY game where JM is given a plan of action with several scenerios and what he "should" do in those instances. Now I didn't get to see the game last night (family issues) but I was told that when he made the change to White last night that he looked "pained"..? Like it wasn't something he wanted to do? And Roman.. Rick did NOT ask for the day off. He asked Cooper if he could get a day off "soon". He did not say he needed off last night, he did not tell Cooper that he was not feeling well. This is a fact straight from a players mouth.
