He wants his SNF wardrobe back. I just don't get "Kate". She really is a pretty young gal and yet she dresses and styles herself so "older" looking. Posh... she is way creepy looking.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 06:46 AM) I friend of mine and his wife just gave birth to a baby. Everyone is doing fine. What I found interesting is that the soon to be Godmother and another close family friend were in attendance. Is this a new thing? There is no way the mother of my children would have wanted anyone there. At the hospital or in the room? I was in the room for my nephew, but that was mainly because I was the back-up coach if my brother-in-law couldn't make it there in time. But everyone in our family was there. As well, most of the family was there for Mia's birth (at the hospital, not in the room). I will have my sister with me when I give birth as well as Jim of course. QUOTE(shipps @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 07:12 AM) maybe they are scientoligists. It's obvious what you are.

QUOTE(spawn @ Sep 28, 2006 -> 09:00 AM) This is my take on it as well. I think she overreacted when she found him out if it, called 911, etc. If anyone looks bad in this whole situation, it's her. I think she panicked when she saw the empty bottle. And TO probably did answer yes to the questions asked...but was he in a proper state to even answer questions? When this all came about, I doubted he tried killing himself. As far as his story...he may be a lot of things...arrogant, narcissistic, etc. But he's never been a liar. His problem has always been he's been too honest, and not knowing when to shut the hell up. All I know is, when the 911 tape is released, and she did say he was depressed, she should be fired on the spot. Even though she didn't say it, and the leaked police report was apparently bulls***, I still think she should be fired. She's a bigger freak than he is.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) Did you see the ending of that Marshall-Central Florida game? I can't wait to see what happens next week!!! I saw yummy Matthew McConaughey on the sidelines..

A special place in hell for assholes like this.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) That's because he had a piss poor September (.200 AVG). His mid-June was quite good along with all of July (.313) and all of August (.296). But since Aaron isn't coming back it's moot to compare them when thinking up logical trades for Brian.

Boz.. just curious why you brought up a Rowand comparison.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 08:09 AM) Ah, so it hasn't gotten any better? That sucks. Yea.. That stuff I sent to you... it's still going on. That and there are some serious departmental integrity issues. I'm not a "number plugger".

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Sep 27, 2006 -> 11:42 PM) He did have to fight for some form of emancipation I believe. Yea, pretty sad situation. They took out something like 13 million in loans against his future earnings. The deal with his house was a total scam also. The asshole that sold/financed it to him should be brought up on criminal charges. Though, Screech shouldn't have been such a dumbass either.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 07:02 AM) "reply to all" on all of them about wasting company time and money Oh I wish I had the balls. I'm this/close to making another move in the very near future. Might be time to retire...

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 5, 2006 -> 04:35 AM) There is absolutely nothing to do at 4:30 in the morning.... Work out.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 05:08 PM) Much as it pains me to say it, Hastert really has to go. If he doesn't step down because of this then the voters should make him next month. I was listening to Kudlow and Company on CNBC radio a while ago and Hastert actually called Larry Kudlow before the show. His explanation for not moving on this a year ago when the E-Mails surfaced was "we were distracted and too busy at the time". What a load of horses***! To offer a lameo excuse like that for sitting on a sex scandal involving kids is beyond the pale. You're exactly right with the last line. It's not about which side you support. It's about a man taking advantage of a child.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) Email everybody back and just call 'em morons. That would be fun. Oh.. I think they know what I think of them by sending them back the "deleted witout being read" message.
-
Of course it's necessary for everyone who participated in the office baby shower to send out their own personal thanks to everyone else in the company. And then equally necessary for those folks to respond "to all" for a grand total of 364 emails since lunchtime thanking each other... Morons.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) You know what? It sort of is. I understand the "minors" concept here, and yea, that makes it doubly wrong... BUT... for all these people who want to throw every gauntlent down that they can to bring down the entire Republican Party over this is doing nothing but playing smear the (you get the idea). Pun intended. You try all you want to compare the two. Sick. And I hope you're not using the slurrs on my account... I edited this - Steff caught me saying something I shouldn't have, and I didn't mean it the way I put it, to pick on someone. I probably crossed a line here that I didn't mean to, and for that I apologize to anyone who may have read it. So I guess I'll go sit my time out now. Kap

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 02:15 PM) All I know is if SNL doesn't do a spoof with a Foley look-a-like walking into a well-to-do suburban home and being greeted by Chris Hanson holding an IM chat transcript, they've become even more irrelevant than I thought. Dateline films in the same damn building as SNL. They can probably get Hanson to do it himself. Hanson is in Arizona filming a new series of kiddie porn Dateline specials. The irony.. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) It's funny how it's a "personal matter" with Clinton, but THIS, MY GOD, THE REPUBLICANS, ALL OF THEM, better step down because of what they may, or may not, have known. Nice double standard. Hu...? Double standard... 2 concenting adults doing nasty stuff is waaaaaaaayyyyy different than an old man and a 16 year old. Not even on the same planet to make a comparison.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 02:18 PM) Actually I think a solid arguement would be Thomas would have cost us Konerko. Pauly was already on record as saying he was leaning towards signing with Anaheim, but it was the trade for Thome that brought him back. Ya.. and I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell ya...

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) Run into any Sox fans out there? Not so many, though baseball isn't on the minds of many out there. Sunday's everyone was walking around in football stuff though. It starts at 7am there and all the bars open with huge buffets and bloody mary specials. The time difference is weird. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 05:56 PM) wow, this just gets me even more excited for my honeymoon in maui starting in 15 days... We stopped in Maui on the way to Kona. Don't get discouraged when you get off the plane there. The airport is nasty. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) Been cruising the Queen K Highway? I stayed at the Fairmont Orchid some years ago. beautiful... We spent a lot of time on 11 seeing waterfalls and the rain forest areas. We stayed at the Royal Kona, which I would not recommend for folks who dont pay for suite upgrades. They are in the middle of a complete remodel and while the room we had was awesome, the others are not something I would have been happy with. The place was built in 68 I believe so it's due for many upgrades. Overall, it was amazing. Tons to do. We did something 10 of the 12 days and still didn't do half of what there is to do there. The landscape is just breathtaking.

Jim and I are having a blast here in Kona. It's about 90 degrees and we just got done snorkeling with the local sealife. Amazing!!! Sorry to hear of the Sox woes, but such is life and it's good to remember last year. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the Bears. We are :-). Take care kids. Mahalo. Go Bears!!!!

Good grief that is just nasty.. Her Blue Crush body was amazing.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) That's a managerial problem then. If a team could have playoff talent, and fail because of their attitude, the manager is failing, because the biggest job of a manager next to putting players in the best position to succeed (which Ozzie doesn't), is to mantain a positive, winning, and hungry attitude in the clubhouse. I refuse to believe that having a far worse DH in Everett than Thome, and having Aaron Rowand, who played about 70 games this year, would have made us better at all. Have you like.. missed all 4,384 threads about how this team has "quit" the past 2 weeks?
-
The message was pretty clear that it had little to do with their play, and everything to do with their attitudes.
