We were 1st row on the 200 level right about mid court so we had speakers near us and could hear fine. One thing that was better was that we were closer to them versus Comiskey. When they went to the remote stage they were right in front of us so that was very cool. But for some reason the song list sucked. It was so unmemorable.. I don't remember half the songs they played.

Did anyone else go last night? Not as good as they were at Comiskey in September, but it was OK.

And in KW's view, that was offering our ace the same as last year's contract, in the $300,000 range. Oh, and with a $10,000 bonus if MB win AL MVP. If those are the numbers, then that is f***ing pathetic. How could you blame Buehrle if that is the case? I'm sorry, but I'm not convinced that those are the numbers. That may be what they ended up paying him when he didn't accept the contract offer but I'm not convinced that is what the offer was. Not that pissing off Buehrle this way two years in a row isn't moronic all in itself but I do think there are two sides here. To be honest, Im not sure I detest Robin for leaving. Same with Mark. There are just certain players who I dont like for no particular reason and Mark and Robin just happen to be one of them. Same thing with people not liking Ray Durham and Jose Valentin. I like both of these players but other dont for no real reason at all... Well.. ummm.. you said you detested Robin for leaving. Soooo.. which is it. The reason I'm interested is because Robin didn't have an opportunity to stay. Robin was told he could talk to other teams BEFORE the season even ended. It was only AFTER Robin got an offer that the Sox made him an offer. One more question.. your what 15, 16 years old...? Just curious as to what your first memory of the Sox (that didn't have to be told to you, or watched on ESPN classic) is...

I had heard rumors of a more "colorful" explanation..... JR trying to tap into the minority baseball fans of Chicago by hiring JM and KW to manage/GM the team..... but, if this was the case, it was never substantiated by any credible media source. I don't believe that was the case, but if it was and the media caught on and actually reported it, it wouldn't take long for cries of "racism and prejudice" from the Jesse's and Sharpton's of the world to be leveled against said media outlet. I was told in '99 that Jerry was head of a committee to hire minorities and that's why JM was hired. I assume that's why KW was hired as well. I was told this by several people within the Sox orginization.

Actually HSC is right on the money. KW IS as bad, and even worse than she expresses. The guy is a moron. If he didn't have people telling him what to do.. he'd do nothing. Not an original thought in that melon. Granted, I only know this about his behavior off the field.. but I can't imagine he grows a brain when he gets to the yard.

Hmmm... Did you forget that while we got jack crap for Ray, we also got to continue to PAY 75% of his salary..? Oh yea.. GREAT deal. And for the record, Ray had agreed to sign a 2 year deal for less than was being reported. He left the park 2 days before he was traded being told "you're staying". He offered to clean out his locker so he wouldn't have to come back! They stabbed him in the back. I'm glad they got screwed. I hope Adkins arm falls off, they trade him, his new team re-attaches it, and he wins 20 games 5 years in a row.

Jjav - Where did you hear that? Chase was already quoted (as well as other cast members) as saying that filming starts in January and the season resumes in September '03. HBO has only released "official programming" schedules through June '03, but all indications are that the show will be on next fall.

Hey GASH.. this was supposed to be the last season. HBO wanted 2 more so Chase & Co. had to go back and re-write the entire season (that took 5 months) in 6 weeks. The point of this season was to get to know the family better and get into Tony's head. Already there is a HUGE buzz about season 5 (and it IS the last one so everything will in one way or another be resolved) which is scheduled to start in September. I'm completely looking forward to it, and seeing how they resolve last and this season's issues. It's definitely going to be an action packed series of shows.
