Yes he was, just not yet, per se LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville defensive coordinator Bill Miller has left the Cardinals to take a co-defensive coordinator position at Kansas. Miller spent one season with the Wildcats as linebackers coach and was promoted to defensive coordinator last month when Ron English left to become head coach at Eastern Michigan. Miller, a native of Hutchinson, Kan., says the opportunity to be closer to his family was a major reason behind the decision. Miller came to Louisville from Western Michigan, where he molded the Broncos into one of the better defenses in the Mid-American Conference. Miller had previously coached at Arizona State, Florida and Miami, among others. Louisville coach Steve Kragthorpe says he plans to name Miller's replacement next week. -

Huge Hire by the Jayhawks. They named Billy Miller as Co Def Coordinator. He left his position at Louisville to come home to Kansas. Miller, originally from Hutchinson, has an impressive resume. He has worked as a defensive coordinator under Nick Saban at Michigan State and Butch Davis at Miami. He worked at Oklahoma State under Jimmy Johnson. He was a linebackers coach and assistant head coach at Florida while Ron Zook was the head coach. Before taking the job at Louisville he was hired by Dirk Koetter in 2005 as the defensive coordinator. He is also a beast in recruiting the state of Florida, which Kansas has started grabbing kids from. Mangino gets better and better while staying plumpy and fun. -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 4, 2009 -> 06:55 PM) Roy's "Charmin soft" recruiting strategy is frustrating. He ends up with a lot of good people and good basketball players, but none ever tough enough. The only tough player I remember him recruiting is Paul Pierce. Roy won't seem to recruit Paul Pierce, Rashad McCants types anymore. Wayne Simien, Kirk Hinrich and Nick Collison say hi. There was nothing soft on those players, just hard workers. By the way, nice win by the champs over Tenn. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Can't wait till New Years. I'm on vacation from work and such, so nothing is stopping me. I will attempt to get the worst drunk out of anyone in mankind (or at least in my life) and do something memorable. only 4/5 days.. Recommend Tanqueray/Tonics, enough of those will knock you on your ass.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 27, 2008 -> 02:05 AM) Flashing lights. Lights. She don't believe in shootin' stars, but she believes in shoes and cars. Also, Dabo Swinney somehow made it into the vernacular tonight. One of my friends made 10 cups in a row tonight in beer pong. He made his first two shots. We play NBA Jam rules, so if you make 3 in a row you are on fire and shoot until you miss. He decided to make all 10 and we lost 3 rounds into the game. Sickest thing I've ever seen in that game. Love the on fire rule, great idea.

QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Dec 26, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) I'm looking forward to watching my Tarheels battle West Virginia. It should be a decent matchup, and a nice distraction until the hoop squad gets back on the hardwood. Wait you own them?
