  1. QUOTE(shipps @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 12:56 PM) C'mon its catchy.But I guess if I had such eccentric taste in music like you, few notes would I allow to fall upon my ears. I don't consider my taste in music eccentric (I don't even think you know what my taste in music is ), but I just find that song to be very annoying, as opposed to 'catchy.'
  2. QUOTE(shipps @ Jan 10, 2008 -> 12:12 PM) And who doesn't like the 1,2,3,4 song? Me and anyone else who has any decent taste in music.
  3. QUOTE(max power @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) I mean like some guy who is already dead. Like lets say a baby died shortly after birth. It would probably taste pretty good, like veal. I dunno though. I've never had a meat I didn't like. Maybe people taste like crap. Its certainly possible too. "Kids, don't do drugs." -- Concerned Soxtalk parent after reading this thread
  4. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 11:32 PM) NU is so incredibly terrible inside. And Spencer Tollackson still couldn't get more than 4 rebounds. It's sort of pathetic, really.
  5. Tubby got his first Big 10 win tonight against Northwestern. It started looking sketchy in the start of the second half, but a Gopher run took care of it rather quickly, and ended up winning 82-63. Blake Hoffarber is a studly sharp-shooter, and clearly needs to be on the floor more, and it looks like Dan Coleman finally showed up, which is cool.
  6. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 11:23 PM) O-O! HI!
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 9, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) Are you serious? He's not of legal drinking age, and the booze was IN THE CAR. Open alcolhol is not legal in the car. So not only did he break multiple laws, he also basically took a car his Mom paid for, broke one of the two friggin rules she set, and probably drove drunk. How is he is "own man" doing this in a car his parents bought for him? And did you miss the part where this isn't about having alcohol - its about having alcohol IN THE CAR? I agree completely with you, and I'm under 21 and drink

  9. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) shoot, take a look at any course list at colleges. I went to UIC... there was such bogus courses as * History of Sports * Sports and Drugs * Bowling * Tennis * Basketball, etc... As someone who is a sports management major, I'll just say that I see no reason why these are 'bogus' courses. Carry on.
  10. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 8, 2008 -> 10:30 PM) AP calls it for Hillary. And no this doesn't give Hillary the nomination. SC does. CNN doesn't want to call it yet because the college towns are still to go.
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 02:02 PM) American Gladiators Sports or Athletic Entertainment? I vote for c.) trash

    QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) As a whole it was better than the first one. I was entertained throughouly throughout the movie. The first movie was possibly the best zombie movie ever until the point where they join up with the f'd up army (after that it went drastically downhill). Yeah, that's what I felt about the first one too. The ending was disappointing, although the rest of it was fantastic. And again, I love Danny Boyle.. I just wish he had done the ending better (even the alternate endings that were on the DVD were a bit weak I thought)
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) No he sucks. I won't disagree, but LSU is a pretty good team too
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 11:31 PM) That video cuts off the ending, which was the best part I think
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 11:27 PM) Todd Boeckman sucks Or LSU is just really good.
  16. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 10:34 PM) And personal fouls end the national championship game...just great. You can't complain about the calls, they were all good ones I think.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) Can someone interpret what JaMarcus Russell was saying at half? I don't know, but it involved touching people in the chest/stomach area.
  18. This game could get out of hand pretty quick if OSU keeps this pace up.
  19. LSU just had their way with the OSU defense on that drive.
  20. I hate OSU too much to root for them, even if I am a fan of the Big 10. I'll root for the Big 10 if it doesn't involve OSU, Michigan, Wisconsin, or Iowa
  21. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 03:49 PM) So I just got my teeth whitened, which is worse than being an Iowa State fan. It'll look good in a couple days, but it hurts so goddamn much right now. I had my wisdom teeth out last Thursday QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 04:17 PM) Sox -- 4th place, 24 games back Bears -- 7-9, last place (did sweep Pack, which is always a plus) T-Wolves -- 4-29 Gopher FB -- 1-11 Gopher BB -- 10-3 So this season's not a total loss, I guess. Identical for me, except I don't really care about the NBA (and if I did, I'd be rooting for the Jazz/76ers)
  22. QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jan 7, 2008 -> 11:36 AM) Let me illustrate something to you... Joe Crede's first 7 seasons in pro ball defensively: 1996 25 errors, .857 FPCT 1997 33 errors, .905 FPCT 1998 39 errors, .929 FPCT 1999 10 errors, .910 FPCT*(injury shortened year, only 74 games played) 2000 19 errors, .942 FPCT*(Minor Leagues) 2000 1 error, .933 FPCT*(Major Leagues) 2001 20 errors, .946 FPCT 2002 15 errors, .944 FPCT*(Minor Leagues) 2002 8 errors, .938 FPCT*(Major Leagues) Fast forward to 2006: 2006 10 errors, .978 FPCT It took Joe 8 seasons to become good defensively, and some people now worship the ground he walks on. Joe wasn't born with a gold glove on his left hand. For comparison sake... Josh Fields 2007 season (3rd full season of pro ball): 2007 9 errors, .958 FPCT (Majors) Granted, Fields went to college and Crede didn't, but Fields had been splitting time with football is whole life. 3 full seasons of 100% baseball, and I think Josh could be ready to show a sizable amount of improvement very shortly. This post could have meant something if it wasn't made on the premise that fielding percentage was a good tool to determine defensive value.
