  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) Killer lineup? Did I miss something? Did we add Jeffrey Dahmer? That's about the only way someone would proclaim this to be a killer lineup. I think Hawk would disagree
  2. QUOTE(Timoperezrulez @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:57 PM) Cintron could also lead off. He doesn't play LF, so who would he be replacing?
  3. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:41 PM) Isn't Crede a Boras client as well? Yes.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:50 PM) Iguchi. He's taking pitches, and overall looking pretty good at the plate. Thats what fathom has been saying in the chat for a few days now, and I really can't find a reason to disagree with it..
  5. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) And that's what he said... Graffy = 2nd Wait, nevermind. He's playing first today I suck
  6. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 02:14 PM) Just our luck, Thome kills the ball and Graffy catches and Iguchi had no time to get back to first. He hit it to first, not second.

    QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 12:34 PM) I might have told you that I wanted to get it, which I was really thinking about, because some of the Mods for MVP 05 are incredible. Hell yea. Thats one of the bigger pluses of getting games on the PC, the mods. I've always been a PC person, and thats one of the reasons that keep me from buying XBox or PS2 for games. I'll give your sliders a shot sometime.. I've been looking for a good set. What difficulty are they supposed to be for? All-Star?
  8. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) Pods, LF Gooch, 2B Thome, DH PK, 1B Dye, RF Pierzynski, C Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Anderson, CF Buehrle, SP Its the true Sunday lineup! Perhaps that's Ozzie's secret plan for this year.. play backups throughout the week, then play the opening day lineup on Sunday!
  9. QUOTE(osxfreak @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 12:58 PM) Semi off topic, I hear a rumor that Hermy was out calling it quits due to the nagging back issues. Anyone hear this as well or any truth to it? God I hope not. Even with a hurt back he's better then a lot of closers out there... Chip I doubt he'd retire until after this season is over. He's still getting paid right now. I wouldn't really call him better than most closers out there, especially with his bad back. If he performed like he did last year throughout his career, it would be one thing, but that was his best season in the bullpen (and overall) by a wide margin.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) Interesting, you mean they actually have...fans? They were actually pretty good fans too. When the Royals looked competitive in these games, they were really supporting them. I was impressed with them in the first two games.
  11. QUOTE(Brian26 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 11:38 AM) Veeck's daughter, not Cusack, no? Yea, I wasn't talking about Cusack
  12. I think its time for this team to awaken. Lets go Sox!
  13. I actually heard that she got one too.
  14. QUOTE(Adam G @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 10:58 PM) Negative. McCarthy, in his first full big-league season, is the odd-man out this year, and Williams said he didn't expect to trade any of his starters. In fact, he can't trade Contreras and Jon Garland until next winter because their new contracts include a full season with a no-trade clause. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,7354987.story I guess the no-trade clause is through 2007 then, because right now, Count's old salary is still what he's making in 2006.
  15. QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) When you sober up, repost your thoughts. Yes it sucks we lost 4 ina row now, but we can quickly turn it around, we play the Tigers after the Royals and we need to take that series or sweep. Here you go
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) They are going to win that division, and it's going to be funny when so many people are surprised by it. I picked them to win it
  17. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) I admit some of them might be a bit much. I'm going to have to update them a bit. I do enjoy all the bandwagon jumping. These fair weather fans should be shunned when they try jumping back on at playoff time. Since we all know that saying anything at all negative about the Sox is bandwagon jumping.. Also, whats the point of updating predictions throughout the season? Doesn't that sort of ruin the prediction part of them? QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 06:56 PM) I really wish the search function was available for members that have joined in the past year. None of you would believe the person I quoted is the real Poppy. Like this?
  18. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) So, you're happy that they are losing and can already tell none of my predictions will come true after 4 games? Yawn. I'm not happy that they are losing, and I could tell before the season even started that your predictions would never happen. Yawn.
  19. QUOTE(POPPY_HIDALGO @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) This is still a team that will win over 100 games this season. There is no need to start panicking after 4. Lets not get crazy! Your predictions aren't looking too good, and my prediction that none of your predictions happens is looking pretty damn good.
  20. QUOTE(Adam G @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 05:43 PM) Count has a no trade clause in the first year of his deal, IIRC. Yes, he does. And the first year of the deal is 2007.
  21. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Or it moves BMac off of the team? Maybe if we get like an entire bullpen for him. No. No. No. No. You do NOT trade the youngest, and cheapest pitcher who has more potential than the entire pitching staff.
  22. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Yep, once again it's time to bash fathom because the Sox are playing bad. What's the deal? He's a dirty Indians fan like you.. its all his fault!
