  1. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Thank God that I remembered to sign up for 10 extra IDs here after last week's loss. The Barney was the deciding factor in my vote
  2. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) What's "Juan Gone" up to these days anyway? MLC with Boston IIRC
  3. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) I wanted to point out how ridiculous attitudes about a losing streak get around here sometimes, while getting a laugh out of those who took me seriously. I think I accomplished my goal. I'm really scared at some of the replies in this thread. I think they took it seriously..
  4. I didn't see the first 7 innings or so, but a win is great
  5. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 03:13 PM) I'm just looking at the box score now, someone explain to me how Pudge got a SB? HOW IN THE WORLD DID MEATHOOK GET A STOLEN BASE? Freddy Garcia + AJ Pierzynski = stolen bases for the Tigers
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:33 PM) Not at all. I prefer a classic jersey as opposed to this new age stuff (such as the hats that are weird colors; I understand pink for ladies but thats it). I agree with you completely

Jenks (S,1) 1.0 3 1 1 0 0 1 9.00 The game was a good one, and I almost blew it by pulling an Ozzie and leaving Buehrle in there for too long. Thornton was able to get out of the 8th with the bases juiced and not let up a run though, so that was a relief. Jenks got hit hard in the 9th, but finished it with a double play ball. As for the sliders themselves, I liked them. I'm not much of a strikeout pitcher, so it's not surprising that I only struck out one person, but I do like that the computer was more wild than usual. There wasn't an abundance of power, and it wasn't that easy to keep the ball in the zone (as shown by Buehrle's 3 walks). The game was a close one throughout, and was much funner than without these sliders.
  11. My guess is that the Tigers take 2 of 3, but thats just me. They aren't that bad a team..
  12. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) Surprised he hasn't tried to get a bunt hit. Didn't see yesterday's game but today he only squared around 1 time in 5 ABs. He has become a horrible bunter.

    This or that

David Brent. Scott is good, but he was at his best in the episodes that were directly taken from the UK version. Sports Illustrated or The Sporting News?
  14. QUOTE(Wsoxmike59 @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:49 PM) I feel the Sox got a couple breaks today on defense. Tony Graffanino's single in the 6th where he tried stretching it in to a double and he was called out. He sure looked SAFE to me on the play. Yea, he was safe there.. barely, but he was safe. When CSN came back from commercial, they showed it in slow motion. Iguchi stepped on the base before Graff ever hit it, so it was the right call. However, if Graff had slid normally, rather than with his legs up, he likely would have been safe.
  15. QUOTE(ThinWhiteDuque @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) Just a shot in the dark, here...But I would LOVE to see KW acquire Ryan Church somehow. I posted it before and I'll post it again. Kenny.. get Church
  16. If I had any money to spare, I'd help you out, but I'm going to college in the fall and really need to start saving every penny I have. Sorry man Good luck in the marathon though, and thanks for the sig again
  17. Joe Crede, your 2006 Gold Glove winner at third base
  18. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 04:25 PM) That's a dumb ejection on his part - he knows that was an out. Nah, he was getting the crowd into the game, which he did well.
