  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 11:51 AM) There wont be any "Lebron joins Wade/Bosh in Miami" headlines, instead they will say "Lebron the Air Apparent" Please buy airapparent.com and put out on twitter that it was bought and see what happens.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) Carlos Boozer was on espn1000. He's a great interview. He said LeBron told him he's considering two teams, but didn't tell him which two. Boozer didn't seem overly confident that LeBron would be joining him, but he did remind him of how good their starting 5 would be. I'm gonna say that LeBron is lying. The decision is made, but he wants everyone to believe they have a chance and keep the speculation swirling.
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:49 AM) he's back tracking a little on mike and mike now too. still says miami the favorites "but you never know" What he is saying is that his sources are still saying Miami will be the decision, but people close to him think it's a bad idea. But LeBron, Wade and Bosh have had this plan for a while, and the question is whether he follows through or goes to a better basketball option.
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 09:35 AM) Why would ESPN scoop their own press conference by letting Broussard run with this if it was true? While theyre saying his source is credible, it definitely isnt LeBron himself or Maverick Carter. There have been smoke screens to keep interest from each of the potential fan bases and keep the hope alive in every city. Have you noticed that the rumors for each city come out just when it appears he is definitely going elsewhere? Just when Chicago was out, the rumors came in last night about the address change and Boozer signs. Just when NY was out, the location of the Decision got publicity. And just when Miami seemed like the outsider, the Pat Riley "meeting" got leaked. It will all happen again today until this is over.
  5. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:15 PM) I find it amusing that Broussard says the Bulls aren't out of it but certainly not the favorite for LeBron.. yet the f***in Knicks are?? The Knicks have noone and they will suck for years to come even with LeBron. As B&B said, don't trust anything out of Bristol today. It's all about drumming up hype. They want NY to think they are in it.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:24 PM) It should also be pointed out that the Nets haven't indicated they have given up either so that makes me think Lebron is to an extent in play. Not true. Prokorov (sp?) said that LeBron would be in Cleveland and Wade and Bosh in Miami. So yes, the Nets took themselves out of it.
  7. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:12 PM) FisolaNYDN Can't confirm this but a Knicks source claims the location may be Allan Houston's house. Wow No one will watch if that's true.
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:48 PM) is that not where espn is headquartered? Bristol. But same state. But it's a suburb of NY. But so is all of CT.
  9. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:55 AM) I am not even sure what that means. Hopefully Wade himself, otherwise something strange is going on.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:50 AM) because none of this s*** has made any sense... why did Bulls brass get suckered into D-Wade and waste their time on him? Why didn't the Bulls just man up and S&T for Bosh with Noah thus not giving Wade what he wanted? ...because Wade and Lebron weren't playing on a team where Bosh made more than them. Getting Bosh was no guarantee of anything except for Cleveland or Miami.
  11. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:35 AM) Haha, wow that's just hilarious as a non Bulls fan for an organization to put so much trust in 1 guy if true. A couple months ago, he was the powerful man in the NBA. Today, he is a nobody.
  12. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:24 AM) Chicago didn't do anything wrong. I just don't think Wade went into the process with any intention of leaving Miami. I think Chicago did a great job of making him think about it harder, but I also know Wade wanted some drama into their ridiculous documentary about the process. Pretty sure only Bosh was doing the documentary. In any event, I think you are wrong. Wade would have come to Chicago is Bosh wouldn't go to Miami. From the sound of things, Bosh's real desire was to play with LeBron, not Wade. Wade was a second option. Wade, therefore, checked out Chicago in case Bosh followed LeBron. LeBron decided he wouldn't leave Cleveland if Bosh would come, but Bosh didn't want to go there. I still don't think LeBron wanted to make the same or less money than Bosh which is why he wouldn't team with him elsewhere. The only question is whether LeBron has a backup plan or if he is staying in Cleveland.
  13. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:08 AM) I was at the gym this morning, and they had Dan Abrams on as their "legal analyst", discussing the case. That guy (Abrams) is the perfect example of faux intelligence on television. He's a guy who is clearly a box of rocks, but thinks he's a genius. Anyway, he was explaining how this was clearly a very stiff penalty (she got 30 days in jail, 90 in forced rehab), for violating probation she got probation for a DUI, no jail time originally). Basically he said this was "celebrity justice" in that she got overpenalized. LOL, OK - she got out of a DUI, as a previous offender, with NO JAIL time, then violated probation... and 30 days in jail is overzealous? Abrahms very commonly gets the law wrong. Law cannot be discussed in 30 seconds and get anything intelligent out, so he just says something.
  14. QUOTE (SuperSteve @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 08:53 AM) Carlos Boozer, come on down!!! M&M had a guy from NY on and said the Knicks have had recent discussions with Boozer. Doesn't sound like the Bulls should be assuming anything.
  15. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 08:39 AM) yup...my guess is lebron got wind that bosh wasn't going to cleveland, and decided to bolt and make his mind up independently.....I'm thinking he is going to New York, which is why Bosh went to Miami. Had LeBron gone to chicago I think Bosh would have followed. of course this is 100% pure speculation and likely entirely inaccurate.... The one issue I have with that statement is that neither Wade nor LeBron was going to leave home to team with Bosh from how it appears. I think they wanted more money than Bosh if they were on the same team. However, NY might be where he ends up if he believes Melo will go there.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 08:37 AM) But, LeBron was trying to recruit Bosh as late as last night, so this could change his plans. It was clear that Bosh wasn't going to Cleveland before the announcement.
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 08:26 AM) To calm myself a little. If the Bulls can get Boozer and Allen it'll basically tell LeBron "Look, this is the only place you can beat whatever mega team Miami is putting together." The Heat-Bulls rivalries would be insane if LeBron came here. LeBron set his time for the announcement last night and he probably already knew what Bosh was doing. His decision is made. Nothing the Bulls can do now to change his mind. Hell, at this point, he would be calling these guys and recruiting for whatever team he is going to.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 02:04 PM) If Lebron was for sure staying in Cleveland why not just announce before his camp? I think hes up in the air right now and is trying to see how everything works. Is everyone at the camp from Ohio? If people come from all over, then they might not be too happy.
  19. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 11:16 AM) i really think the key here is bosh, if we somehow signs Bosh first, that will give us the best chance to land wade or Lebron. Lebron or Wade returning to their former teams will not have a better cast than Bosh with the Bulls roster. if either of them are focused on winning, they would fight for the spot to sign with the bulls I don't think Bosh is going anywhere without a S&T. He wants his money more than anything. And as I said before, Wade and LeBron are not about to play on a team where Bosh is making more than them. So they are going to put the onus on him to decide where to go which is why it currently appears that both will stay in their respective cities. If he goes to Miami, then LeBron might reconsider Chicago, and if it's Cleveland, then Wade probably come to Chi. The problem is that none of the teams involved have a blow away offer to make the Raptors. As a result, it's another party added to the negotiations and the whole process takes longer.
  20. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 09:05 AM) Dan Bernstein had a great point that LeBron better already have done his research to determine what situation was the best for him and all of this stuff is BS. What are all of these meetings going to tell him that he should have already known. Imagine him witha a Scott Boras. And yet it does not appear that he has. With Wade, it seems that he only decided to test his options in the last week when Stoudamire went to NY. So I understand that he has some thinking to do. LeBron should not be debating this anymore, but I really think he is completely confused.
  21. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) Not trying to be an a-hole but why are they not real sources? Because they arent saying the bulls are the favorites? I meant from Goff but from others as well. I say that because the most respected writers like Woj, haven't had anything to say. Woj was on the Score talking about how difficult the story has been. He has been on the Score multiple times a day and hasn't said anything new since Friday.
  22. The James Taylor concert was interesting. The music was exactly what I expected. What I didn't plan for were the old as dirt hippies getting WASTED and stumbling around trying to dance. Nothing more sad than an aging hippy. Also half of them literraly fell asleep during the show or were reading while listening to the music. Meanwhile, the setting was beautiful and the weather was perfect. An experience to be sure.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 06:44 PM) So is he still hearing Wade to the Bulls? He is saying it, but he has no new info. Like it or not everything we are hearing now is probably not from a real source.
  24. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 06:19 PM) I'm sure Jason Goff has some decent sources, but the dude told us that Wade and Bosh to the Bulls was imminent on Saturday. I'm not believing another thing he says. He was on the Score today and said that his source is "directly involved in the situation" with Wade negotiations. Seemed like the Bulls truly believed that he was going to sign and they couldn't get the commitment. Say what you want, but no one has any information on this nationally or locally. He was pretty defensive about that source notice he hasn't had much inside info since.
  25. Breuery Orchard White is a really good beer. Fantastically spicey and a bit tart. I don't know that it's a great example of a white ale, but I love spice and tartness in a beer. Call it whatever style you want, it's a damn good beer. I also have an Ommegang Zuur I'm the fridge, a Flemish Red supposedly it has a bit of sour but we will see.
