  1. your right it could happen, but it wasn't like he hit 95 just once. he was hitting it consinstantly.
  2. Well Koch is biggest problem this year was that he had last hgis fastball meaning it fellf rom 97-100 to 90-93. The reason I said I think he is coming back is because he is getting the speed back on his fastball..
  3. I disagree, the lowest I saw him throw on Wednesday was 95. The highest was 97. I think he is coming back.
  4. Because the Royals were swinging at 1st and 2nd pitches. They wanted to get the game over with.
  5. Before I write this post let me say that I am happy that we kept Colon and hope we can resign him because IMO he is a top 5 RHP in the AL. But for the people who thought that we couldn't have gotten Williams and Foppert for Colon what do you think now, especially after they just traded Moss and Ainsworth for a guy who has good potential but hasn't done much in his career. Again I am glad we kept Colon, just wanted to say that.
  6. Yeah mid 90's I think he hit 95 on the Fox Sports net radar on every fastball. To me thats inprovement.
  7. No one said we wanted to trade Crede. The deal was Rauch, Diaz, and Ginter for Boone and Sullivan. So Crede would stay. And besides 29 to 30 isn't an ageing 3rd baseman
  8. Of cousre he wasn't because he didn't realize what was happining till the Boone deal came up. And once he figured it out he critized them for everything they were doing.
  9. Yes its Oakland, but don't remember the trade at all
  10. Actualy he did say something about the Red Sox getting Williamson. He thinks the whole situation is bad for baseball.
  11. I agree with gammons in the fact that he said that Selig needs to step in and block these deals. He also said this about the Williamson deal..
  12. If Koch gets it together he's our closer in my book. I like flash better as the closer, just for the simple reason he has a 96MPH fastball with movement, one of the best curves in the game, and a changeup.
  13. The good thing about Marte is that he is good against Righties too.
  14. Chicago White Sox: Now just two games in back of Kansas City, the White Sox would like very much to add another starting pitcher. Tops on their list is Jeff Suppan -- who, if a poll were taken today -- may well be America's most talked about man. Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune reports that general manager Kenny Williams has been working the phones and is still very much in the trader mode in the weeks following his deals for Roberto Alomar and Carl Everett.
  15. For a little left hander last night he was throwing hard. His fastball was consistenly clocking at 95mph on the Fox Sports net broadcast. I don't know if this was just because he was pumped to pitch for a new team or not but if he can do this every night we would have 4 guys in the Bullpen throwing over 95. And even better 2 from each side(Gordon and Koch from the right side) and Marte and Showenwies from the left. BTW Koch did well last night in the last inning even though he had no pressure. He got 3 straight outs in the 9th and his fastball was alos hitting in the high 90s.
  16. I am glad that paul is doing well but, I still think we should trade him either today or in the offseason. And this is the reason it would allow us to save money to use on Colon and Alomar, and also resign Lee who is tied for 1st on the team iin RBIs
  17. Even better is that O's are playing the 2nd best ball in the AL behind of course the Sox.
  18. You have to give JM credit, he has been sticking with the same lineup vs righties and with the exception of Rowand Lefties to since the break. Regrettably, I must agree....but he shoulda played Rowand last night. I agree.
  19. He has played there and well over the past year. Infact on Monday they moved him to SS in the late innings to be a defensive replacement

  21. Welcome Aboard I too would love to see Boone acquired. I think playing him at 3rd with Crede rotating in (Boone ocassionally playing 2nd/1st, etc) and then next year the Sox can go with Boone at 2nd and get a little younger and get draft picks for Alomar. If Crede is a necessity in the deal, then I think the Sox should get more. I Think Boone is basically forcing his way out and the Reds aren't gonna get much for him. Also I think the Reds already have Bradon Larson in thier farm system as a young 3rd baseman. I think we could trade rauch, Diaz, and Ginter for Boone and Sullivan. What the Reds need is pitching and I think they would do that deal to get pitching. You may think that we aren't given up much but we really don't have 2 because, Boone wants out, and the owner wants Sullivan out. If we get Sullivan it allows us to cut White and Boone would be an upgrade at 3rd for this season. Another good thing about Boone as other have said is that he can also play SS, 2nd, and probaly 1st. So next year we would not have to resign both Alomar and valentin just one. Also this would help us against LHPs. We could have a starting infield of 1st base Konerko, 2nd base Graffinino, SS Boone, and 3rd Crede. That would be a very fair deal in my mind. I'd try to hold out to keep some of the pitching, but I'd be more then happy with something like that. The flaw is Sullivan is on the DL so I think he won't be dealt till after the 31st so he'll have to clear through waivers. I think he comes off tommorow so I think he will be eliglble to get traded.

  23. I think the thing they don't realize is that even if we didn't make the Ritchie trade Fogg and Wells would still have been traded. They would have probaly been the players involved in a trade for Colon. Sorry Joel, but using that logic is like throwing darts blindfolded. There is no way you can say with any validity that would have happened. No one has a clue what would have happened last year had that trade not happened. But also there is no way of predicting that those 2 would have done that well with the Sox last year.
  24. Add a minor leaguer to that trade. Man Beane gave up a lot for a player that hasn't done much in his career except for this year.
  25. For Aarron Harrang andf Joe valentine
