  1. Did you watch his last start. He was going after the corner against lefties everytime one came up. His only problem was that the umpire wasn't calling the strikes that he threw. For instance on the Dimitri Young atbat where he hit the homer in the 2nd inning the pitch before the homer he threw a great pitch that was a strike but the ump called it a ball. This happened 3 or 4 more times in the game also where he threw a great pitch for a strike 3 but the ump called a ball, and on the very next pitch the Tigers score runs.
  2. Is there any sight that shows how many times a guy has started over the past 3 or 4 seasons.
  3. Yeah he has played it a lot of over the past couple years. Atleast I think he has.
  4. I say O's get Crede Lee Rauch Sox get Ponson Lightenberg Connine. Here is my reasoning. Ponson would give us a solid #4 and #5 while making our rotation the best in the bigs. Lightenberg would give us another Righthander in the bullpen who is very reliable. Connine gives us a replacement for Crede for atleast 2 years maybe 3 who is a great hitter and a good fielder. Now on why the O's would do it, 1st they get Crede to be thier future 3rd baseman. Lee would be the right handed power hitter they have been looking for who can play 1st base, left field, and DH. And then Rauch gives them another pitching prospect for thier future rotation.
  5. Guess what guys last Sunday I think we faced 6 rookies of the indians and we scored 7 runs. I don't know how many of those guys we had seen before but givce the guys a chance before you say we have lost.
  6. What do you think about switching Tony G and Alomar in the batting order. I think Alomar would be a better 2nd place hitter than Leadoff, and I think Tony G would be able to handel the leadoff postion.

thats all I have heard also, I was just speculating.
  8. I agree they trade away thier best run producer for a leadoff guy. Makes No sense to me except they want to finish in 3rd place.

I haven't heard him say that so I think the Royals would just have to give up prospects. Plus with the Expos and major league baseball thinking about moving all 81 games to Puerto Rico next year I would not be suprised if he goes and signs there next year. And if they anouced it in time(meaning before July 31st or before the Rangers trade him) I would not be suprised if he changed his mind and went to the Expos for the rest of the year and then resigned with them so he could play with them in his country.
  10. Last time someone said something about being able to gain ground on the Royals we went on a 3-13 streak against teams like the Devil Rays, Tigers, and Indians. I hope this doesn't happen again.
  11. IMO he was the best hitter on that Twins team(not saying much I know). But he could hit from both sides of the plate with power and was a clutch performer. i think Koskie is their best hitter, but he might be headed to the DL now Oh yeah I forgot about him, but he was defenaintly better than everone else.

  13. No, that was Stewert who made the team because wright was hurt.
  14. Good they get another leadoff hitter who will make it on base and never score because, they have the very inconsistant Hunter, Mintkpiss, Pirzkpiss, and Morneu as there power hitters. And none of the 1st 3 have produced at all this year while the 4th is just a rookie. And in getting this leadoff hitter who will never score they trade away one of there best if not best run producer on the team. OBTW this is second year they have let there best run producer leave, last year it was Ortiz. I may be the only one who thinks this is a baad trade for the Twins, but I am telling you that you will agree with me at the end of the season when the Twins are in 3rd place. I would have been more scared if they trade for a guy like Gonzalas or Conine.
  15. And I think 10 of those guys were pitchers, the other 2 were postion players. Dimitri Young and Geoff Jenkins
  16. Gammons said it would be Jason Anderson a pitcher and possibly an 1 A player
  17. I agree that is the best, but IMO the 2nd best would be the NFL on Fox. I
  18. Wagner was already out of the game, and Blalock was like the 5th or 6th batter in the inning. BTW Rex I was joking. I know he pitc hed at the Piss Whole on Friday or Saturday I was just going on the comment Baker made when Willis wasn't picked.

No way. I am much more worried about the Twins getting some offense. The Royals have no pen, all kinds of injury problems, and are talking about trading for an injury prone clubhouse cancer. Let em mortgage the farm system to get Juan. I disagree, I think he will be thier the leadoff hitter. And thats fine, but the problem with that is that they will have know one to drive him in. Hunter, Mientkpiss, and Pireskipiss are way to inconsistant at the plate and Morenu is just a rookie. And they would have traded away there only good run producer in Kielty. Thats why I would worry more about the Stewert trade.
  20. According to ESPN Insider and Gammons is that the Twins are after Shanon Stewert of the Blue jays. According to Gammons the Twins would have to give up 3 OFs and one of those would probaly be Bobby Kielty a player that Sox have had hard time with over the years. Another team intrested in Stewert are the A's Also the Royals are said to be interested in Juan Gonzalas. But there was no mention who they would give up. As white Sox fan I would be more worried about the J-Gone trade instead of the Stewert trade.
  21. Yeah I didn't believe he said that either until I actualy heard it this morning.
  22. I think if Baker was smart he would have brought in Willis just to face Blalock. Given him the advanatge at the plate, and then bringing in Smoltz for the last couple outs. But since Baker had not seen Willis play he didn't want him to pitch
  23. I didn't see it that way because all he said was that we can clearly see how White Sox fans feel about the Cubs and Yankees. Whats wrong with that. Sorry I hadn't seen Sportscenter yet, and now I agree with you he is being an ass. Who cares if they boo, they paid there money to see the game so they can do what they want to do.
  24. The best thing about Elo pitching welll is that now he probaly has the confidence that he can get anyone out now, because he got the best 6 or 7 hitters in the NL out without given up a run. I see him now going out and domintaing the next couple games.
