And that 1 hit was a little flair.

Yes Anderson may have played 8 innings, but it was clear that he was the best player on the AL this year. He deserved to stay in and when Soscia took him out was the perfect time because he put Mora in a faster runner to pitch run. He was clearly the MVP IMO.
-
Not saying either is good, but right now who can you name that is better. Sorriano is in the Majors and Henson was drafted bye the Texans. So I think he goes there after this season. I guess you can say Weaver, but before Sunday he had sucked all year.
-
Why would anyone want those 3 crap coaches. They haven't done anything in the majors. I would rather go after a young assitant coach.
-
And watch once Koch gets to New York he will be throwing 93-94(yes I know not the 99-100 we heard but still faster then what we got). BTW. Juan Rivera and Adrian Hernadez would probaly be the players in return.
-
I still think that he may be fired either Tuesday after the game or Wedensday. I think KW and JR wants him to coach the All Star game and then when thats finished they want to fire him.
-
Hopefully that will happen. I think he is coming along though. Today he had 2 shots right up the middle and on Friday he had that long double to Center.
-
Many times....... He throws 7 pitches, all for strikes. Doesn't walk many. Can get the fastball up to 93 or so, but doesn't throw it as often as the Sox would like. Never seems to throw the same speed twice. Very polished. He is older (just turned 30) but is in his first year of baseball in America. Pitched in Japanese Minor Leagues (an injury kept him out of their Major League last year) and the Tawain Major Leagues. Started in Charlotte Friday night. Gave up three runs on 2 HR's in the first inning and basically nothing after that. Had 10 strikeouts in 6 innings. His combined numbers at Birmingham and Charlotte are: W- L- S ERA GP IP H BB SO TOTALS 6- 6- 2 3.30 23 90.0 80 27 83 Of his 23 games pitched, 12 are starts. So do you think if Porizo struggles he may be the next one up?
-
How far away is Diaz from being ready.
-
There was one game where I heard someone say that he had some kind of an injury that was preventing him from playing 1st. But that was about 2-3 weeks ago so it shouldn't be effecting him now. Oh bye the way it looks like paulie is coming around. He had 2 hard shots right up the middle today.
-
Cotts is not ready to start in the Big Leauges. Rex, which pitchers in AAA or AA do you think are ready for the majors, in case Porizo and Wright don't work out.
-
I don't know if anyone has said this but, has anyone else noticed that Frank has sucked since he went back to being the DH instead of playing 1st most of the trime.

2 guys I would like to see the Sox add to the team are Steve Trachsel and Jamie Walker. Trachsel would give us a very good 4th or 5th stater, yes I know he is a former Cub but if you have watched him pitch this year he has been one of the only bright spots on the team. Plus he wouldn't cost us to much money. And Walker is that pesky lefty who pitches for the Tigers who the Sox have had trouble with for the past 2 or 3 years.
-
Right now, I can't see the Royals winning the division with thier starting pitching right now. But if they could add a starter to move Lima, George and Elvis down in the rotation they would be more of a threat to me. But with Lima as there #1 I can't see them going anywhere. They kind of remind me of the Twins 2 years ago. I just hope we are the Indians of 2 years ago and come back to win the division.
-
Did anyone here who the other guy that the White Sox were and are unwilling to trade when they are making trades. Gammons said one was Cotts, but he I didn't here who the other one was.
-
Another thing we should do is schedule all games only Sundays. This is the 2nd straight sunday that we have scored atleast 7 runs.
-
I agree Tom Gordon should be the new Closer. Not only did he pitch well today, but he also had that performance in Detroit where the bases were loaded with no outs, and he got all 3 outs with out giving up a run.

So you think he's a good manager? I didnt even see the play. I just took at shot a JM. I figured Ian would have caught onto it if he saw it. No I don't think he is the best manager. I just don't think its fair to him that every thing he does he gets critized for it.
-
I don't even know that the Royals will win the division. I just can't see a team with Lima and George as thier top 2 starters winning it. All the White Sox have to do is go on anothe 6 game winning streak(I know its saying a lot) and they will be back in this thing. One thing to remember about firing JM is you have to have a replacement before you fire him. So who are we going to replace JM with. As of this moment I donm't see it being Backman, Valentime, or anyone else in the TV bussiness. Can i borrow the drugs that you are on? Thanks. So what did I say that isn't right. We are still in the race because of the Royals pitching(thats true experts on TV say its true.). And if you are going to fire someone it is always good to have a replacement on board before you do it.(Thats true also).

Yep, and when we started one in CF(Don't remember which one it was) we won our only game in the past 3 seris. Konerko, Lee, or Daubach have to go and if it was up to me it would be Lee. He has the most trade value and would get us ome bullpen help if we traded him to the O's or Dodgers. Both Lee and Kong are available. Kong could go to the Orioles for Kerry Lightenberg, and if we give them a prospect, (like Josh Stewart ) we might be able to get Ponson. And I'd gladly do a Mota and Shuey for Lee, Glover, and White deal, though I don't think they would. Opens up a spot to put Everett in LF, Rowand/Harris in CF, and Daubach at DH with a start in LF and 1B every once in a while(Everett and Dauber just platoon in LF and at DH, while Dauber will, once a week, go to 1B, have Everett in LF, and Thomas DH). I don't see the O's taking Konerko unless the lose out on Dereck Lee who they are tring to trade Conine for. So the only way I see us trading Konerko to the O's if we except Conine back. And that wouldn't help us at all because it would give us another Right handed bat who can only play 1st, 3rd, and left. Oh I like your other deal. But one problem I don't see it happing. The only way I see it happining is if we trade Lee for Mota or Shuey straight up. Yansy, I agree with you Hawk would suck. I was just making a point earlier in a post.

Wally Backman is a respected major league veteran. If these guy6s can't respect him, they need to hang it up. And are you talking Hawk Harrelson???? No Way! I will admit I don't know to much about Backman except he will be our or someone elses manager one day. And if it is true that you think they will except then I guess it would be ok to fire JM. Because we would have someone to replace him with. That was my point on the Hawk. Hawk would be a horrible manager.

I agree, Because right now who would we have to replace him. Bruce Kimm wouldn't because JM is his friend. Backman probaly could I just don't see a major league club full of veterans excepting him as a manager.(If we were a team like the Royals, D-Rays, or Tigers I could see it). That leaves us with Bobby V, the Hawk, and another possible canidate Kevin Kennedy. Bobby V and Kevin Kennedy both right now have better jobs on TV and Bobby V atleast(don't know about Kennedy) would be able to find a better manager job after the season. So that leaves me with the Hawk, and tell the truth does anyone really want the Hawk managering the Sox. There may be more canidates out there that you can think of at this time, but those were the only ones I could think of.

UH guys pay attention you are acusing him of doing something(Tinkering) that he isn't doing. In this case he is actualy being consisitent. Graffanino hasn't hit against righties all season so when he somes against one JM takes him out. What is wrong with that, isn't that what you want him to do be consistant. It doesn't matter what JM does some of you will always be mad at him. Smae with KW.
