I don't even know that the Royals will win the division. I just can't see a team with Lima and George as thier top 2 starters winning it. All the White Sox have to do is go on anothe 6 game winning streak(I know its saying a lot) and they will be back in this thing. One thing to remember about firing JM is you have to have a replacement before you fire him. So who are we going to replace JM with. As of this moment I donm't see it being Backman, Valentime, or anyone else in the TV bussiness.

He coaches for the Marlins. And I agree he would be a great canidate, he reminds me of Pena. with his lively additude
-
I would rather have the Hawk as the manger than him. And also pitchers usualy suck as managers.
-
I think it could happen, over the last month we have played our best ball against teams with good records. And right now the Indians are playing very well.
-
How about a guy named Joe Torre, he is on the last year of his contract, and according to many people he will not return to the Yankees next year.
-
Yeah I think that is what will happen. White goes 3 innings Glover goes 3 innings and then our bull pen does the rest.
-
Because he is struggling, and right now when he is in the lineup the opposing pitcher has to only face 8 hitters. Right now all pitchers are doing is giving him a diet of breaking balls knowing that he can't hit those. I don't know if he would be able to improve on this in the minors or not, but right now it is costing us.

Please call them up and ask them to add players that pitch, defend and run. Please inform them having 5 or 6 DH's is not the way to win championships. Thanks. I completely agree with you. I'd probably move Carlos and Konerko next year. Magglio isn't whats wrong with this team, even though he is swinging for the fence more this season. I want to move Carlos right now. I say trade him for either Mota or Lightenberg straight up. And a prospect of course from one of those teams.
-
Yeah I guess thats why he knew the 2 trades we made before anyone else in the media last week. Yes he is a Red Sox homer but he knows his stuff
-
Yeah I think BBTN also reported that Bonds is mulling his descion to come because of his dad being sick.
-
I think Borchard may be moved to 1st base if that happened

Not tring to make any excuses but if you look at most good teams vs bad teams in any sport the bad team usualy does well. I remember in 2002 when the Lakers were Champs they struggled against a lot of bad teams. Most namely the Bulls who beat them both times they played. So my point is that for some reason good teams lose to bad teams a lot. Just look at the Dodgers and Yankees last night. Both lost to teams that were a lot worse than them, in the Padres and Indians respecfully. -
What do you think about sending him down to AAA and bringing up Rivera or Burke. Yes I still think he is the future catcher of the team, and I haven't given up on him, but I think he needs to get his confidence back at the plate and AAA would be the perfect place for him to do that. Because right now with him in a slump we are only batting 8 guys when he is lineup. I say bring up Rivera or Burke and let them back up Sandy while Olivo is getting his confidence back. So what do you think about this. Again I still think he will be a good player in the majors, I just think he needs his confidence back.

And one was a bad luck play. The line drive from thomas with Rowand on the move is the one I'm talking about. If he would have hit that ball between 2nd base and 1st instead of right up the middle we would have had 1st and 3rd and only 1 out.
-
Thomas will still be here in 2007? No way. I agree, I doubt Thomas last any longer than 2005. I also think Hummel would have been here if he were any good. Thats why i put Harris at 2nd instead of him. Plus I see Yan as a player the Rangers will pick because they have no 2nd baseman for the long term

Actualy just 1st. Maggs "supposed" swing came with a count of 2-2. Meaning the pitcher would have had 1 more pitch. -
Uh he did that becauase Ev has hit a lot better from the left side than from the right side this year, and we were facing a left handed pitcher. Plus with Daubach being LH also there was no one else to play out there.

This how I see a lineup in 2005-2006 Catcher-Olivo and Rivera 1st- Borchard 2nd-Harris SS-Lopez 3rd-Crede RF-Maggs CF-Anderson or Reed LF-Anderson or Reed. This lineup might not happen till 2006 or 2007 but this what i see in the future. 2005 and 06 is too far ahead to project anything. We could have several players gone to FA or trades by then. Don't even try Your right, just having some fun.

Yes White sucked maybe the 1st month and half but since then he has pitched well. And to me that is no suprise if you saw him pitch last year. He gets better as the season goes on and IMO we need to stick with him.
-
I would do that to. I just think Dan Evans is to stupid to realize that the only way he will improve the hitting on his team and ultimatly his whole team is trading some of his pitching(Mota or Ashby.). But I doubt he will ever see this and ultimatly not make any trades for hitters.
-
I highly doubt we could get Perez. He is just to good of a talent from the left side and in that division they need all the talented lefties they could use.

The point was that we had designated Jiminez for assignment. He was going to walk as a free agent in a few days. No, the real point is or should be that he should have never been designated in the first place. Graffanino or Sanders should have been. Ugly, I'm with you on that. I never wanted Jimenez to go. The guy could of played 3rd, ss, or 2nd off the bench and when Alomar left then the Sox actually had a guy that could play, cause I don't want no walk Aaron Miles there. While I like Miles, he isn't the answer as a starter. I am a harris backer though. As a DJ backer also(I guess you can say i'm a KW backer to), I just hope fans who are happy with this trade now will not get all mad at KW for trading him if he plays well for the Reds and turns out to be the player a lot of people thought he would.

And with the rest being a crapshoot I really believe that closers are one of the most over-rated positions in baseaball. I don't buy into the some guys are just meant to close mentality. I think you give any guy that puts up good numbers into the closers role and he'll get quite a few saves and will raise his value. Thats not saying he is a great closer, its just saying he's a good pitcher and happened to find himself in the right role. Yes the last three outs are harder, but good pitchers get guys out no matter what the circumstance. Rocky Biddle is a great example of this. Gagne, Smoltz and Percival (When healthy) are about as automatic as it gets. Rivera was once in this class, but injuries have taken him out of it. After this list, its just not worth the money in my opinion. I would add Trevor Hoffman to that list as well when healthy
