  1. Only if you use Baseball reference. Fangraphs has him at 0.6 for the 27 games he has played so far, putting him at about 3.5 for a full season.
  2. He Who Shall Not be Named was the NL player of the month. When you add him and Robert in with Jose Abreu, Marco Paddy has to be feeling pretty good about himself right now.
  3. I wonder how Mariners twitter feels about this?
  4. You can't take apart a draft and talk about not drafting college players at specific point in a draft. With the spending system the way that it is, if you spend up to get early HS picks, it totally changes what you have to do ahead of and behind that pick to afford the over slot price of a HS player. To get multiple HS players early, you have to draft way underslot with your first pick, or punt pretty much every pick after them to save enough money for the overslot spending.
  5. That is a great catch Tony. That information put together makes a lot of sense. I would imagine there was some discussion both about who they could get, and who they could lose, and how that would affect the team.
  6. Unless he has been pitching at a high intensity every 5 days, there is no point as of now. By the time could ramp up to full strength, we'd be in the middle of the playoffs.
  7. Why are you suggesting he is willing to be a back up player then?
  8. If he resigned here, that is exactly what he is signing up to do.
  9. has McCann said he wants to be a bench player for the next 3 years?
  10. Any idea how rookie deadlines are being done this year? It is the usual number of ABs or are they bring pro-rated? Curious as to how much longer guys like Heuer will be on the list. As to the list, I am liking it! Really like seeing some of the Latin names creeping into the back of the list, and poised for breakout seasons once baseball starts again in the minors. A guy like Rodriguez is one who could end up in the top 10 this time next year.
  11. I am going to guess that not even JR knows that as of yet. There are so many things out of his control right now. As those start to get answer in the next few months, we might know more.
  12. It is more of the agreement of deals years in advance for kids who are 13 years old, and the under the table stuff that happens there with the extra agreements that happen, etc.
  13. I was thinking more of the birthday deadlines. Did some kids get switched from the July 2, 2021 class to the Jan 15, 2021, because of their birthdays?
  14. https://sportsmockery.com/2020/09/report-mike-clevinger-wanted-to-get-traded-to-the-white-sox/
  15. The roster requirement applies to the active roster. So the 25/6 guys you had on August 31 are playoff eligible. The guys you call up on Sept 1 are not. The exception is if there is an injury to a guy on that 25/6, you can replace them. This has been the situation forever, just trying to see if that is still the case.
  16. In normal years the roster is locked in on August 31 and the only other way to get a guy on there is for an injury replacement.
  17. And the only reason he is playing is because of injuries. If it wasn't for Yoan being ouchie, and Leury being out for the year, and Mendick slumping, Yolmer would be buried on the bench.
  18. I haven't seen this said yet, but if the Sox call up Vaughn now, can he be on the playoff roster? If the answer is no, there is no cutting someone like EE to make this roster move.
  19. With Hayes, how long do we have to wait until we start his trade rumors?
  20. So out of curiosity, does this change who can sign during this periods, or is it the same kids, just six months later?
