  1. If only we had stopped at the first row.
  2. The reality is, if the Sox actually do sign one of them, the odds are extremely high that they withdraw from the process with the other one. I'd even be willing to bet that both players know that this is the White Sox position and would fully expect that both players have been told that the first to accept an offer is the one they will sign.
  3. Yes. There are their "tweets", and then next to that is "tweets and replies". The second one includes stuff where someone responds to a tweet directly, which is what that post looks like.
  4. Yes it is. We are talking about 1% tops, probably a fraction of that to be honest.
  5. The donation was on behalf of Toni Preckwinkle, so now comes the question, what did she know?
  6. Keith Law went all in on him. Read the comments in the thread too.
  7. The big problem is defining what credibility even is in 2019. Most of the replies are debating the value of the information and not what the information actually means.
  8. Yeah this is a LOT of money for people who don't make much.
  9. So essentially the guy watered down the report that got everyone so excited today. Awesome.
  10. I hadn't seen this before about Robertson. https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/yankees/ny-sports-david-robertson-yankees-employees-20181126-story.html?outputType=amp&__twitter_impression=true
  11. Someone will blink.
  12. There is no way teams go into April holding $30 million-ish in space open for a maybe if they feel they can compete next year, especially if they start to feel like their back up plans could be lost.
  13. Yes. The bigger teams aren't going to hold that budget space open forever. The Phillies think they can keep adding pieces they will eventually look to fill with other available pieces, as will the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs etc who are looking at these players. That is a metric fuckton of money that needs to be kept open for someone who might not come. A team like the Dodgers could add a Pollack and Keuchel for the cost of Harper. Will they wait around and risk losing their B and C options? I don't think so. The Yankees will do similar as they could stand to add starters and relievers.
  14. There will be no market in April. Teams will move on about the time spring training starts.
  15. It 100% could be attempting to get the Yankees up off of a lackluster offer.
  16. He will be a plus 2b next year. 2018 was a big learning year for him, and he emerged from the fire with a heck of a finish to the season.
  17. Yeah, I could see that happening with Kimbrel.
  18. Having been twice, I can also confirm.
