  1. This was mid-edit, this tweets have been fixed.
  2. This was from last week. Below was from last night.
  3. The Sox aren't trading for a guy like Senzel or India. Those guys would require so much capital as to be practically untouchable. Think of a 3B more in the Ryan Cordell mold of impressive numbers, but less regarded. Maybe someone blocked at the major league level. We aren't dealing for a top 50 prospect without giving up a big time guy in return.
  4. Why is the assumption that no one has told him to swing at those pitches, when we have people like Renteria on record as saying he needs to swing at more of those pitches?
  5. It isn't even that Rutherford hasn't been good, it is that Gonzalez is looking better.
  6. For me, the biggest surprise is Rutherford. While he is having a better year, I still don't think he justifies being as high as he is with some of the guys behind him Honestly if you told me to pick an OF from Rutherford down the list, I would take Luis Gonzalez first and not even think about it. At this stage I think Rutherford should be closer to #20 than #10.
  7. It's really too bad Abreu can't hit a fastball anymore.
  8. As of today there is zero question as to who has better stuff.
  9. That was great work to get out of that. That was Ace-like work.
  10. Engel should try to bunt for a hit at least once per game.
  11. I tend to agree with this, though my opinion here as changed in recent years as relievers have become more and more valuable to teams and on the open market.
  12. I saw the thread title and my heart dropped.
  13. As to Madrigal's future, I very seriously doubt he is the best player picked from his spot back. In fact I would bet against it. But I would also be willing to bet that if you gave me gregs house to bet on any one player drafted from the #4 slot on down that would be a major league starters in 5 years, it would be Madrigal. His floor is freakishly high. He has major league defensive tools today. He might even already have a major league ready hit tool today.
