  1. I guess at worst he got to hit for 3.5 months and really did seem to hold over his gains and continue to cut his K rate. It was a better scenario than what we originally thought which was to miss this entire year. If he ends up on the short end of recovery, he might be back for opening day. If not, the far end is the middle of May, so he shouldn't miss a lot of next year.
  2. Then the idea of rebuilding with a franchise that can't develop young position players really did prove to be an incredibly dumb idea.
  3. One more for you @Heads22. We just had this kid move in from Iowa. Seems like he was the 14th highest rated HS QB in Iowa last year. You heard of him? I guess his older brother is up at Michigan State. http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/beau-lombardi/vP1LrmhLEeiAyNdjx8XCRA/default.htm
  4. We'd still have Yolmer and Leury for today, and Madrigal on the horizon. This is an interesting theory.
  5. This was pretty much the consensus opinion, and that hasn't really changed. The rest are wings on the bellcurve.
  6. Hey @Heads22 enjoy Zoran Talley. He's from my neck of the woods. Nice player if he can stay out of trouble.
  7. Your reading skills are about as solid as Palka in RF then.
  8. So what you are saying is that Moncada could be about as good as Barry Bonds on steroids at this point of his career? I am good with that.
  9. They have already done the same with Presley and Saunders when we had the first wave of OF injuries, so it makes sense this is why.
  10. Yeah, that's why people shouldn't get too wound up with reports and quotes.
  11. This is the reason I wasn't too worried about him. The Sox don't talk about their minor leaguers injury history too much, so this isn't even unusual enough to worry about. They usually don't hit their top level college draftees too hard anyway, so no surprise they are being slow and coy with him.
  12. Houston at one point quite literally had a zero TV rating.
  13. And half a billion dollars in free agents paid for by a full Wrigley Field on a nightly basis.
  14. Nor did they add anything this time around. Out of the 5, only one is going to play there this year.
