  1. It is also worth mentioning that due to their internal value system, Houston is one of the least likely franchises to pay up for a player, let alone one that is devalued by all advanced stat system because of his position and because of his defense.
  2. He isn't really owed anything, so probably not.
  3. What similar hitters have been traded for in recent years.
  4. You should trade greg on the NYSE because you pretty much own him.
  5. I am going to go on record again to say that we aren't getting a top end player for Abreu.
  6. The good news is that Rodon recovered really nicely. Only 3 hits and no walks over the last 4 IP.
  7. Now let's hear all of the posts about his ruined swing.
  8. Anyone have any verification on this?
  9. The Chinese economy is dependent on the US markets like a welfare check. We could well collapse their economy like we did to the USSR in the late 80s and early 90s, if this were to become a protracted battle. While we would see inflation and some shortages, the Chinese economy is so levered up and dependent on dollars it would be brutal for them.
  10. Speaking of Alexei type plays, that a baseball stupid play.
  11. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/ben-badler-top-prospects-chat-61918/ Don (Orland Park, IL.): In your next updated top 100 minor league prospects would you move Blake Rutherford or Dylan Cease into your top 100 based on their performance this year ? Ben Badler: Cease is in that discussion. Rutherford isn’t for me.
  12. We saw it with Alexei, we saw it with Dayan, and we saw it with Abreu. They just don't teach the same basics in Cuba. Agree 100%.
  13. Alexei was the poster child for million dollar arm and 10 cent head at SS. He did get a lot better the longer he was in the US, but he had zero baseball IQ when he first got here. Of all people, that year he spent with Omar Vizquel was huge for him.
  14. I feel the opposite. Getting called up isn't going to help. He has to be able to find the strike zone consistently. He is running into guys at AAA who will chase less, so he is struggling more. That is only going to get worse at the major league level.
  15. Yep, he did the Sunday broadcast with Hawk. It was a great listen.
