Not surprised to see Palka get a call. He lasted way longer in camp than most did, and none of the CF types have done much to earn the call up (Tilson, May)

Just like anyone else, get him his ABs and let him sink or swim. Either he is going to figure this out with the new swing or he isn't. It is WAY too early to quit on him, especially with how much longer catchers take to develop anyway.

I kind of doubt it. Having Jeter didn't stop them from throwing tons of money at Arod.

What we have on the roster and in the system could look a lot like the mid 90's Indian teams that led off Kenny Lofton, Omar Vizquel and then Robbie Alomar. We could have a track team at the top of our order, except with a decent amount more pop in the line up if guys continue to mature into power.

Just from the eye test he seems to have TONS of range, and gets good reads on balls.

I like this post in general but a couple of things here. No one is trading ANYTHING for James Shields, except maybe another horrible contract. When Shields time is up with the Sox, he is hitting the unemployment line. Alec Hansen is still on the DL and has not pitched this year, there is no timetable for when he is expected back that has been publicly announced.

YOBREU!

I was hoping for a ride on the Yo-cycle tonight after that start.

Anderson isn't going anywhere now

That was a helluva play by Segura

Also worth pointing out that was a nice baseball IQ play by Timmy to demand the ball from Davidson to go make the extra tag play.

What a stupid baseball play.

Jose Abreu ladies and gentlemen!

Nothing wrong with pulling him here either. Thought they might extend him after as much as the pen was used this weekend.

That was a much needed outing for Carson. He has 93 pitches thru 6. Could he have another inning in him?

That was off of the plate.

Engel takes second for good measure. Another SB for the Sox.

Even Engel getting in on the act.

Pulled up lame at 1st base trying to beat out a ball on the infield.

Tonight is the definition of Regression to the Mean.

111.9 mph exit velocity on the Moncada HR.

Moncada is now a single away from the cycle with 3 innings plus 1 batter in the books.

11 straight set down by Fulmer

ABREU DOES YARD WORK!!! 7-0 SOX@!!!

I don't know if it means anything or not, but Garcia walked down the steps by himself.
